Almost immediately the man in charge was labeled an asshole. What did that mean? He did this to himself? He didn't pummel and tranquilize himself and then somehow transported himself into this stupid room. Cross snarled at the man's quip. Tough guy, huh? If Cross could, he would put his fists through the glass and yanked the doctor against it head-first. That asshole better consider himself lucky.

Nobody cages the mighty Cross. Nobody!

Still, there wasn't much he could do and if he didn't follow what that asshole requested, then he wasn't going to get anywhere and he doubted any of these pansies were going to stand up for themselves either. Cross snarled, bearing his teeth. He really didn't have a choice. He was strong, but having a good chunk of his strength taken from him, there was little he could do.

"...Tch!" reluctantly, he backed down and went for the back of the line. There, he caught a brief flash of green and looked down to notice at least one of the two goblins he became familiar with. "...Cheeto? Is that you? What're you..." Her sister too? She mentioned her sister a few times before. Right now, they looked terrified. He didn't blame them. "Hey, it's me...C'mon. We gotta do what this asshole says. It'll be okay, come with me." he hoped at least one of them moved to encourage the other.

Standing up as everyone seemed to calm down and make two lines, Iridian stood in the opposite line to Cross. She didn't want to have to socialise with him. In fact, she didn't want to socialise at all. Her eyes darted to the first voice she heard afterwards - belonging to Hudson, who only reminded her of her grandfather. For a few moments, she watched the comfort between Milo and Ravi. Lips moved but there wasn't any sound, no sound she could hear anyway. She wished secretly there was someone to comfort her as Cross said something to his friend - Cheeto. But she couldn't see any friends at all. Well, the quicker she got to the front of the queue the better.

Aiden looked up and, though it did not show on his face, he was relieved when Hudson entered the room. It was nice to have someone who dealt with this bullshit here on a regular basis here with him. Between working here, his primary hospital, and filling in at the infirmary, Aiden was beginning to feel stretched thin.

For a moment, Aiden pressed a button that silenced his conversation with Hudson from the delinquents.

"Usual misdemeanors, but we've got that kid here who caused the rukus in the cafeteria and was blasted by professor Aurora before her hiatus," he said. "I'll be happier the sooner this is over and I can get the hell out of here. Is there any coffee left in the break room?"

After Hudson would respond, Aiden would press the button allowing access to the others.

"Carl Bateman," Aiden said, reading the name of the boy he assumed might be the one. There was a note on the chart that said he could not speak, as his power was tied to his voice.

"We'd like to verify some information with you. Can you nod indicating if the information is still correct or incorrect?" Aiden said. He did not wait for the man to answer. "You are still currently enrolled fulltime at the academy? you are living with..."

Aiden squinted at the name. "....a Loralei Vern Weatherby?"

Ravi continued to sob into Milo's embrace, though he slowly tried to catch himself as Milo explained. He looked up at the taller boy, tears in his eyes.

"J-juvie island? B-but i'm not a st-st-student..." Ravi squeaked, confusion seeping into his voice. Milo's voice seemed to be comforting him though, he wasn't shaking as badly anymore anymore. "O-okay...I'll t-t-try...." The small boy nodded hesitantly at Milo's advice, and slowly released his embrace. He turned around to face the glass, but stuck close to Milo, still shivering.

Iridian hadn't even been paying attention, watching everyone but Lochlann. Who was, ironically, the one person she should have been paying attention to, because if he hadn't have stopped, she'd have gone crashing to the floor.

"No, it's okay," she replied, watching his hands, wondering what he was thinking. Not good thoughts, she guessed. But then, she was terrified too. The whole thing reminded her of a prison. Especially with the first words she heard when arriving was 'Welcome to the slammer'. Which raised the question once again, why was she, of all people, here?

"Not really. Someone said something about a slammer, but otherwise, it's anyone's guess." She sighed.

Basil watched the two people behind him in line with vague interest. He recognized the girl from school, and the boy held familiarity to him for a reason he couldn't place. He smiled and listened in on the little convo, before perkily inserting himself into it.

"What, you guys haven't caught on yet?" He laughed. "Not a lot of people have access to this sort of thing, you know." He lifted a hand and nodded to the bracelet. "And look at this crowd. The majority of the kids in here have a bad reputation of sorts, or hang around those with bad reps. And where do kids with bad reputations go when they have too many tantrums, hmm? Have any guesses, yes, no? Well, my hypothesis is the infamous and lovely Juvie Island."

"Feels like a purge," he mused, casually morbid humor coming all too easy to him.

To the first question, even if it was rhetorical, Iridian shook her head. Caught on what? He had to be joking? What sort of thing? At his gesture, she glanced at the bracelet around her pale wrist with a gulp. She was clueless at what they were.

But, looking around, Iridian did notice it, quite a few of the people definitely had the look about them. They looked pretty... unfriendly. And alive. She didn't know which one was worse. "They go to... detention?" she guessed before the boy inserted his own opinion. Which resulted in a moment of her having a hidden mental breakdown. 'Wait. You are not a troublemaker. You do not hang out with troublemakers. He is trying to scare you,' she thought. "Then why am I here?" Iridian didn't do anything bad at all. This was a... well, it could be a... nope, she couldn't think of an alternate. But he was wrong. Very wrong.

Ahh, Coffee. The lifeblood of any human institution.

"Not right now, but if you give it ten minutes there will be. I just put on a new pot." The coffee maker was large, but also slow, and there was nothing speedy about it. Not that he'd be done in ten minutes anyway - there were tons of students left still to process.

There seemed to be an awful lot of crying among the students, and Hudson didn't very much like criers. They weren't the ones he dealt with anyway - he'd sweep in and deal with those that refused to be processed the normal way, those that wouldn't bother to get in their neat orderly lines.

Cheeto and Dorito shared nervous glances. They seemed to have fallen into opposite lines from each other, out of habit more than anything else. Without their connection, though, the two girls had completely isolated themselves from each other for the first time in their lives. Neither wanted to step out from their lines, waiting to be called upon and spoken to by the people behind those counters.

@"JioJio"

Cheeto heard the voice of Cross. It was a familiar voice in this strange new place, and her first instinct was to grab onto it. Without a word, Cheeto grappled onto Cross tightly, her arms around his thigh and her head buried in his hip. She clung to him tightly and tried to keep from breaking down and crying right there. He could probably feel how violently she was shaking. Dorito, in the next line over, watched Cheeto and gave a small smile. "Keep an eye on her, okay?" She said the words pretty softly but she tried her best to sound strong, confident. This wasn't going to be easy for either of them, but Cheeto, at least, had someone she knew...

((OCC: -FLIPS TABLES- MY POST NEVER WENT THROUGH SORRY EVERYONE))

Aiden nodded when Carl Bateman's information checked out. He marked a few more things down and then nodded.

"Okay," he said to the young man that Aiden was certain he detested just by the luck on his face. THat was the worst part about working here--people like him.

The best part was that the place reeked of desperation. If anyone was desparate enough to kill themsevelves, well, they'd be in good hands.

"Ten minutes is far too long to wait for a cup of coffee," Aiden said to Hudson and sighed. "Do you want to take the next two?"

He motioned to the students in line.

"I'll get the two after that. I'm dying for something to drink, though."
