Station Shuttle
This is the official thread for first transport to the space Station.
No posting order. Rapid fire encouraged. The shuttle has already departed.

Once the shuttle had reached the edge of the solar system, it seemed as if a weight had been lifted from the crew. For the Terran crew members who had never made this voyage before, the very magnitude of what they had just accomplished sank into a variety of uncontrollable smiles and relieved chuckles. "And they told me that I'd never make it as an astronaut", somebody laughed from somewhere. That set off a chain reaction of quips before the pilot, an ancient serpentine alien, shot a remark to a thousand year-old engineer with dry humor clear even over the intercom. "I remember the days when this part of the galaxy was a private hunting ground," she said. "The game was decent but screamed too much." There was brief bump on the shuttle as every crewman rushed back to what they had been doing before.

The darkness of space brought the illusion of a slow voyage. In reality, the shuttle was jumping a distance of over eight hundred light-years in a single day. Only the best vessel had been specifically drafted for this one transport, which was honestly more like a luxury space-cruise liner instead of a mere shuttle. The vehicle was stocked with as much exotic foods and entertainment as it could possibly hold, made to attract those of every species and all walks of life. It was absolutely a publicity stunt, a fact that was shamelessly played up everywhere with flyers and projected advertisements of businesses that could be found at the destination.

Maeko Terenimas

It was with a great sigh that Maeko looked out the view port window. Being only 4 feet in height he was using his Minor levetation abilities to look through the window itself. He only wished he had told his brother about this sooner. Maeko had been saving up for something like this for a long time, his mech suit couldn't reach escape velocity for the planet earth quite yet and as he had rationalized, the shuttle didn't have room for a 3 story tall mech in any cargo bays so he was unable to leave the craft for zero-g maneuvers that he deseratly wanted to test on his mech.

"You seem...depresed Maeko, do you find yourself... Hmmm... Wishing your brother was here as well?" Oh-gah-me-kai, appearing as a small red ball hovering next to the crimson alien's shoulder. The AIs smooth almost monotone voice chimed in with tge undertone of worry.

Maeko looked to his AI companion with a small glare. "It's not my fault if he didn't save up to do anything fun." Not really answering the question and trying to seem less like he needed his brother around. "We don't need him... He can find his own way up here in time..."

It was then that Maeko began to float back towards other people. Maeko himself wasn't worried about being over heard, speaking in his native tongue no one would really understand the soft sharp whistles and deep burbles of his people. "something I am curious about though is how well the station we are going to its built. The Terrans are still new to spaceflight but they have achieved much in the time they have been exposed to the greater universe."

Kai circled around Maeko's head as the AI pondered information faster then normal thought while the child genius made his way over to a snack area and got himself some hydration. "You could ask around and try to find a way home here you know..." Kai finally spoke as Maeko sipped his drink of water.

"Still not an option Kai." It was then that Maeko turned around and found someone staring at him from a distance.

Pham Thi Anh Sang

Swinging her feet impatiently, Anh Sang pouted as she stared out the window. When the shuttle had taken off, her face had been practically glued to it, before the shiny newness of being in space wore off. Now she was just kind of bored, waiting to see something actually exciting, basically anything besides this empty expanse of black and lights randomly scattered all over the place. Just where were the shooting stars? The giant black holes? The pretty, glass-covered planets? Anh Sang didn't get it but this was one of the reasons why she definitely wasn't going to be a scientist. Science was boring and full of lies.

"Mommy, Daddy, can I go exploring now?" She pleaded. Her parents, while having been perfectly fine with letting her attend Manta Carlos by herself, had been less than enthusiastic with sending their twelve year-old daughter alone to a whole different star system. It was all just weird to Anh Sang. They even said that it was probably safe so what was the big deal anyways? Maybe it was just a parent thing, the girl had decided. If it was, then she never wanted to have kids.

Her Daddy looked up from his knitting, something he did whenever he was feeling worried about something. Mommy had told her so, so it must have been true. "Hold on, you shouldn't go anywhere by yourself," he said, frowning.

If possible, Anh Sang pouted harder. "I love you guys," she said, with a childish fidget, "but I can't just take you everywhere! Then people will think I'm weird or something!" She wasn't quite at the stage where being seen with her parents was totally embarrassing but after two or so years of living independently, Anh Sang had a certain way of doing things. To be more specific, she did whatever she wanted, whenever she wanted.

Her Mommy just looked at her and raised her eyebrows. She was really cool like that.

Thinking that it was time to really show her seriousness, Anh Sang clasped her hands in front of herself. "Please, Mommy!" She pleaded, "I can take care of myself right now! It's not like I can get kidnapped or lost or anything here! It's too small, right?" It worked for kids in movies so Anh Sang was hoping that this was one of those real life things that would work right then, too.

"Okay, okay, fine," her Daddy relented after sharing a hurried, whispered conversation with his wife. "But stay in public! Don't go anywhere with anybody. And give us a text every minute or so while you're gone."

"Hour?" Anh Sang pressed hopefully. When he shook his head, she tried, "Half an hour?"

Mommy put her foot down there. "Fifteen minutes, give us a text," she said. "Otherwise, we are going to have and get you ourselves."

Oooh. It wasn't like she was a really young kid or anything. If her parents came after her for that, though, then all the other people would think she really was, though!

"Take pictures!" Her Daddy called after her as she left. "Remember to clean your hands after touching anything!"

Anh Sang just sighed. Dads.

There weren't that many people in the observation section where she and her parents had been in, probably because that had been more of a small library than anything. The books in there were pretty lame. She couldn't even read a single word out of any of them so she was hoping that as far as boring things went, that would be way at the top.

To her disappointment however, a few rooms seemed to be for old(er) people and wouldn't let her in. She skipped from door to door, peering in to see if anybody interesting was around but lots of the people she saw were either humans, things she sometimes saw on Earth, or people who were working.

When fifteen minutes had passed, she sent a text to her parents. "Yep, I'm okay!" and decided to leave out the part where she was basically just walking in circles, hoping that stuff would magically become more interesting. On another circuit around that area of the shuttle, she found that a crowd of people had finally cleared out a bit, opening a path to a hallway she hadn't gone through yet. She took a moment to judge it and, finding that it was just public enough, followed it.

That was the jackpot. It was a snack area which, in a child's world, was practically the pinnacle of interest, right next to destroying public property. Better yet, it was filled with a bunch of weird stuff that definitely wasn't from Earth. Anh Sang should know. She had eaten balut once before. That was both weird and gross. This was just weird.

At the table, she eyed a glowing blue cube that looked a lot like jelly but had some bits of stuff inside of it. Is that moving? She blinked. It's definitely moving. The cube blinked back at her and that was when Anh Sang began to slowly edge away. Taking her place was a human-looking member of the shuttle crew who absently grabbed the thing and ate it with a single bit.

Okaaaaay?

Suddenly not hungry anymore, she looked around the room, trying to find something to take her mind off of. Well. That. What she found was (at last!) an alien! Probably. Most likely. Would it be rude to ask the alien if they're an alien? She wondered, frowning as she stared at them from a distance. That's obviously an alien except, wait. Maybe it's not? Should I ask?

Before she was even aware of what was happening, she was suddenly right by the short creature's side, mouth running a mile a minute. "Hi I'm Anh Sang are you an alien where are you from?"

The red floating orb of light the was the manifestation of Kai's 'body' hiccupped with more light for a second as it recognized a certain parameter in it's programming. "Terran female, approximate age 13 on approach vector Maeko."

Maeko was in the middle of biting into what most terrans assumed was a shrimp. but was in fact something to complex for their simple minds to understand when Kai provided the information The simple fact that there was someone coming towards him to talk to him made Maeko swallow prematurely and nearly choke on his food. But he was able to get it down with only minimal coughing. It also took him a second to remember the many different languages on Terra. He coughed one final time before looking at the female with his own big eyes as his antennae lifted up from behind him in embarrassment in a way making him look slightly bigger then he was a second ago.

It took a short second as well for him to understand the question presented to him by this...girl. "Um...why yes... I am not from Earth.... I am from Levan Prime, though if you were to ask where it is I unfortunately cannot answer that. Planetary security and all." The last was a over used lie. Yes he could not answer the question but that was because he actually didn't know where his home was.

"If you don't mind me saying...aren't you a little young for a Terran to be here all by yourself?" Though in human terms Maeko was also a child but he had long ago been told by his parents that he and Laeko were smart enough to be considered adults. Most other species put to much on the actual age of the person and not their mental capacities. Though considering how much he and Laeko bickered over small things some would say that the two of them were to young themselves to be on their own. But since Maeko and Laeko not only excelled at the human school on the island but were also able to get jobs at their 'young' age to keep themselves fed and all, Maeko felt comfortable calling others children.

This probably said something really disappointing about Chloe's priorities, but here she was travelling faster than light in a space ship to some kind of deep space nine looking place, and the thing that impressed her the most was the fact that she still had five bars on her phone. She was living a trekkie's dream, and she was sitting by a view port looking at her stupid phone. Not that anyone could blame her too much at this point; warp speeds in deep space meant boring observation ports.

She was probably going to round up the rest of her group soon. There was supposed to be some cool stuff to be done on this shuttle, and looking out the window got boring fast. But before she could do that, she overheard that alien kid making some kind of remark about how her planet's location was a secret.

Her eyebrow raised, she looked at the alien kid. As soon as she had the chance, she would interject:

"Sorry, I'm pretty new to intergalactic politics. Why would you need to keep your planet's location a secret?" Chloe began to worry: what could Levan Prime be hiding from? Was Earth screwed now that they were revealing themselves to the wider galaxy?

Kai turned around to regard a member of the demon species while Maeko was talking to the Terran female. Maeko had programmed many things into the AI and the ability to lie convincingly was one of his top priorities if Maeko was ever in a situation like this where there were to many conversations to keep track of himself even with his prodigy brain. "Levan Prime, the home world of the Levani, Is a scientific centric planet. The Levani species has a higher intelligence then most other species in the gallixies, however are physically weak and didn't need to really fight one another. So the location of Levan Prime is a secret so that a more war like race from any other part of the galaxy does not try to invade."

The AI then did a small bob and spin which was it's equivalent of a shrug being nothing more then what looked like a gel ball. "It is also of note that the Levani species does not grow beyond 4 of your 'imperial' systems feet. Plus with their other anatomical traits most other species looks down on them as 'child like' so they feel like a place where they are not judged merely on their size and physical characteristics like the majority of species do."

Dorian Crawford
Dorian was excited. Because of space? No, no. Dorian didn't care about that Star Wars/Trek nonsense, even if he did briefly consider the option of banging hot aliens being more accessible than usual. When Dorian looked out of the window, he saw billions of solar systems, and he knew that some of those solar systems had life, some intelligent. And when there's intelligent life, there's going to be profit.

He was practically drooling. Dorian Crawford, Intergalactic Mogul. He pressed a kiss to his fingers and set it off to the stars. For Finn.

But, man, this shuttle was taking forever. Dorian chatted up some aliens on board, but after a while, he walked over to the snack bar and saw a little girl. He laughed, before sliding up to Anh Sang, gasping dramatically. "Oh no! What is this!? A tiny alien? Are you peaceful? I'll take you to my leader if you don't hurt me!"

This was the most at home Basil had felt in his life, or at least, the life he'd been led to think was his. It didn't matter that a small bracelet, hidden under a less gaudy (though he couldn't say the same for his jewelry) than usual dark purple coat, was muffling his usual oppressing, corrupting magic, not anymore. He'd felt suffocated before, when they'd still been on Earth, but all the effort to at least vaguely blend in to be here had been worth it. Worth everything.

He pressed his face to a window, nose and cheeks squished, breath fogging it gently, watching the stars and colors, the great endless beyond and darkness. Imagery flashed and bursted in his mind, just behind his eyes, of the brutal, unimaginable void, incomparable beauty and horrors, making him a little dizzy. He was getting over his socialized human instincts fast, and soon, it'd never make him dizzy again.

Flushed, he pulled back, slapping his cheeks. He grinned, sharp teeth shining, and looked around the shuttle. It was a glorious occasion. A trip to space and a shameless indulgence fest. Living like kings, only, the kings that used to reign wouldn't have dreamed of this. It was better. Living like gods. How very fitting.

He could probably stare at space for five days straight, without blinking, if given the chance. However, his curiosity made him put it off. With the new Station existing now, he could do that… all the time. However, this particular shuttle trip was once in a life time. He needed to see the people and the sights! He needed to… lurk around in a non-socially appropriate manner, and look at the people like they were hamsters doing something particularly interesting-- and possibly surprising, with the typical intelligence of hamsters in mind.

A cluster of people seemed to have gathered in the buffet area. Food was always a classic way to lure in squishy things. He just sort of… peered at the odd grouping from slightly behind a doorway in. Part of the reason he'd come over here was because he could smell Chloe, who was a Favorite. He loved Chloe! He kinda wanted to wave, but sort of continued staring instead. As he was a fan of doing.

There were some others here too. He wondered if any could be considered proper novelties? A little girl, a pretty young man, and a tiny alien. He could probably kick that alien's ass without even involving spooky shenanigans! He kiiiinda wanted to try that, but was also trying to lay low and not get thrown out an airlock. Mostly because he wanted to experience this trip properly. Not because he'd dislike being thrown out the airlock on its own. He was into that.

After some more lurking and creeping, he went over to the table to get what seemed to be a really weird looking cocktail. It had a tiny spaceship decoration in it instead of an umbrella, which he pocketed immediately, and was galaxy colored, with little edible star shapes. He took a sip, and couldn't describe the taste in mortal words. Which meant it was now a Favorite.

Chloe was a little incredulous about that part where they feared warlike species. Advanced as they were, surely they could use their superior technology to defend themselves from invasion. Which seemed a lot less expensive than hiding their entire planet, factoring in the opportunity costs of lost trade. So, she concluded, this one came from a species so cripplingly insecure about their height that they kept their location hidden from taller species. The galaxy was a fascinating place.

Chloe raised her eyebrows at the construct, deep in thought for a moment, then shrugged.

It was around this time that she noticed Basil, creeping around as he was known to do. She looked over and gave him that backward tilt of the head that said she acknowledged his presence. Then, noticing his drink, she broke off to find out how to get a cocktail just like that for herself. How often do you get to drink a galaxy-looking fluid in a superluminal spaceship?
She made sure to flash a smile at Dorian before wandering off, lest he accuse her of ignoring him. He seemed pretty preoccupied being cute with that kiddo, anyway.

Blue Fire

"Wow..." she said as she looked out of the camera windows, watching colorful galaxies static as their own shuttle moved light years towards their designation, "This Station is hella primitive. I can't believe my ancestors used to use space ships like this! How did anyone get anywhere!?" She tapped the monitor. Humans were so funny. She sipped her martini glass. Was she drunk? She was getting pretty drunk.

"It's T minus 4 hours before we land in the Station, but it's T minus 10 seconds before someone lands in my titties! Anybody who's anybody meet me at the dance room! Whoo!!!" Blue jumped and cheered, before bolting to the event room. "Last one's there's a rotten egg! Alright!"

She raced to the event room. Was there anyone here? No? Good! She threw the doors wide open, and floated to the sound and lighting, turning on the fancy rave lights and blasting some funky alien music. She opened the windows in the room, for that full, space ambiance. She picked up a mic. "What up Shuttle Cruisers? Put on your space suits, 'cause this party's out of this world!"
