Greetings. I am Wesley, or Wes; it is a pleasure to be of your acquaintance. I am a male, fourteen-year-old individual interested in role-play. Due to my innate shyness, it is a bit difficult for me to comfortably join a forum site, however I am going to try my best to fit in within this community. Aside from that, as introductions go, here is a bit about myself:

Since an awfully young age, I have aspired to work with animals, a study formally known as zoology. With the free time I have outside of school, I revel in volunteering at local animal shelters. I research quite a bit as well, thanks to internet resources. With this, botany also intrigues me, and I hope to minor in the subject, along with zoology, of course, as my major. Nature is an incredibly relevant portion of my life, and I take it very seriously.

Visual art and writing are also peaks of interest for me. In regards to visual art, I do both traditional and digital, though I am not as accustomed to digital. I lean towards drawing animals, anthropomorphic or otherwise. In relation to writing, instead of stories, I cotton to simply elaborating on a specific topic; these topics tend to be relatively abstract, such as perspective or variations of theories. I lose my muse often with plot-based stories, which role-play may assist me with strengthening said muse.

I am far from tech-savvy. In fact, I struggle to properly operate computers or other devices. However, gaming still stands as a prominent hobby of mine, even if I am not the best at it. RPG's are most definitely my favorite, though I am always willing to experiment. I also find first-person shooters enjoyable, especially ones that involve zombies. As much as I hate to admit it, I get a real kick out of 'kill-everything-you-see-even-though-there-is-not-actually-a-plot' sort of games; I find them immensely entertaining.

Though Pokemon branches out into both anime and games, I felt I needed to write an entirely separate paragraph from the one above. I began collecting the TCG at six-years-old, and received my first game, Platinum, at eight-years old. Since then, I have had a borderline obsession with Pokemon, and indulge myself in whatever information I can that pertains to it. Though I no longer collect the cards, I own almost every single main series game, and follow the anime as best I can. I also take advantage of research, and follow theories and speculations about both the anime and games. I own quite a bit of merchandise, and consider myself a hardcore fan.

Well, there is a bit about myself. As mentioned prior, I am extremely shy most of the time (though, albeit, if I get to know people fairly well, I can be the most immature person you ever meet, in a humorous way), therefore it takes quite a bit of strength for me to make a post, so please do not be offended if I am vague or reserved. Feel free to ask any questions you may have, and once again, it is a pleasure to meet you, and I do hope we can role-play together soon.

Welcome to the site Wesley~ I missed you in the cbox, although I saw you were there earlier. If you've got any questions, don't hesitate to ask. That said...

Tell me more. What systems are we talking about? Which are your favorites?

Hello! Welcome to SA~!

Oh dear, I hope you will excuse me for a somewhat brief response. You have a very nice introduction so please forgive me for not offering back as much in return.

I think that it's wonderful you've already managed to pinpoint what your passions are. Certainly, it helps greatly in the long run. You will find here, if you haven't been in the chat yet, that many people here adore animals and have quite a bit of knowledge of how to handle them. We have a fair number of artists, too, both digital and traditional! If you would like to browse or share your own work, please feel free to take a look at the Creative Forum! Videogames are big here as well, and we have several streamers as well as a Team Speak server up.

As for Pokemon - who doesn't love Pokemon? I am currently dying in the inside because I'm studying in Beijing now but my 3DS does not want to charge.

To be honest, I often struggle with plots in the same way that you have said. I do find that RPing makes it easier to encourage my muse in my own work so I do recommend that. Sometimes I experiment with character ideas here, too. It's nice to be able to write from different types of personalities.

If you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact me or another member of the staff~ The chatbox is also a great place to meet people, though it can be rather fast paced. Many of us are quite shy in real life as well so I'm sure you'll fit in fine~

Thank you for the welcome!

When I was younger, I was extremely attached to my mom and I's Nintendo NES. However, we also owned a Playstation, and eventually a Playstation 2 and Supernintendo. Unfortunately, they barely work now, but I have very fond memories of playing them, and the last one stopped working when I was around eleven. I did acquire a DS, then a DSi, and eventually a 3DS, which I use the most often today. I dabble in Steam as well, and own an Xbox 360, too. We use our Wii when the family gets together, Mariokart never gets old.

Thank you for the reply!

I was simply introduced to my current passions at a very young age, which I am glad for. I'm glad that there are many people on this site that share these interests, and I'll be sure to check out that Creative Forum!

Goodness, I do not think I could function without my 3DS; I do hope your's charges eventually!

One aspect I love about Pokemon as it does not get old re-playing any of the games. Hell, I must have re-played Soul Silver what, ten times? I never seem to get tired of it. I also never get tired of researching lore, I love viewing the artwork, and even though the anime is rather repetitive in its plots, I always seem to enjoy it.

I think I lose muse so easily because a lot of the ideas I come up with are difficult to put into words, which throws me off. I try, though, and am gradually getting more experienced in regards to keeping a steady plot.

Once again, thank you for the reply!

Hello and welcome to SA!

I'm afraid I haven't gotten to see you in the cbox yet since I'm on a bit of a hiatus right now, but I look forward to getting the chance to say hello!

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to shoot me--or any of the other staff--a PM, and don't hesitate to ask in the cbox! Our members are super friendly and knowledgeable and there's usually someone online to help, although we are slower on the weekends!

Despite spending a huge portion of my life on SA, I'm also very passionate about the outdoors. I also used to volunteer at my local animal shelters as well, but grad school makes keeping a regular schedule for myself hard, let alone working with others. I do miss it, though! I'm always happy to talk animals if you're up for it.

Welcome again to SA~

Thank you for the welcome! It's a pleasure to meet you.

Volunteering is extremely fun. I've done it a few times, but usually I fall under the age limit (a few have been 'must be fifteen or older,' but most are 'must be sixteen or older'), but I've experienced it.

Thank you, again, for the welcome.

Wow, I am at a loss for words as your introduction was in so much detail. First off, I wanted to say welcome to Starlight Academy. I joined at the same age as you, and since then learned many valuable things from this site.

I have always been interested in animals, but I never though to myself that I would be any good helping them. I really admire that.

I have always loved the outdoors, no matter how much time I lock myself in my house. Nature is such a beautiful thing so I try to enjoy it whenever I can.

I really hope that you like it here and I apologize for the short response

Thank you for the welcome.

I'm glad you enjoy nature. It really pleases me to meet others who appreciate its existence.

No worries, and thank you again for the welcome.
