Pham Thi Anh Sang

She made a quiet sound as Milo ruffled her hair, feeling very pleased all of a sudden. Anh Sang really did like it when people gave her pats and hugs and such. It made her feel all nice and pretty on the inside. She turned just a little pink as she ducked her head at his compliment. Milo had no idea how many points he was winning from her with every little action.

"Okay, then! I've made my decision!" The girl stomped her foot down on her light platform, nodding furiously to show her pure determination. "I already have a big sis Morgan, so you can be my big bro Milo! Then I can have both of you and also your names both have two syllables and start with M so it's perfect!"

Clearly this was intended by God to happen. "Um, I've been doing some cooking things which was weirdish and posters and fliers and light butterflies and things!" She said. "It's been a lot just overall! What are you thinking of doing?"

Milo covered his mouth as his smile trembled with delight. "Okay, I accept… baby sister."

He then hid his now quite warm face with both of his hands. Saying that out loud was a lot. Oh no, goodness, gosh, heaven above, this kid was just too fucking cute.

He peeked through his fingers at the small, excitable ball of charm. "I really don't have many plans myself, I've just been going with the flow, which has turned out… better than expected. I just talk to people, you know? Get to know them, see what they want, what the community wants. Uh, sorry, I'm rambling."

"I'm not doing anything flashy, just compassion." He shrugged, then took his hands away from his face and brightened. "But I'm all for helping you out with anything you're up to, taking away some of the 'a lot' from it so things can be all pleasant all the time. That doesn't have to mean running together, does it? Because if I'm really banned from helping, well, we could always just hang out a bit."

Puffing out her cheeks happily, Anh Sang positively beamed. "Helping each other should should be fine, big bro!" She almost sang, her pronunciation skills flattering a bit in her excitement. She was that thrilled about this. Any more happiness and she might just accidentally start slipping into Japanese or Vietnamese or something.

"Talking is de-fi-nite-ly good but sometimes I have troubles with it so I just use art," she said. Tilting her head to the side, the girl suggested, "Trade? I can do the pretty things and stuffs since I have a lot of it and you can do the talky things that I'm not good at."

And, since that seemed like a pretty lame selling point, Anh Sang added, "We can get sweets." Sweets were always good and okay, maybe she had had just a little too many this month. But this was a special month and this was a special occasion.

If Milo were to slip into anything other than english in his own stunned-by-adorable state, it would be rat, and then he'd end up with a bunch of only half heard chirps and chittering. He didn't do that, but he did lightly smoosh Anh Sang's cute cheeks.

"I didn't think I was that great at talking either, people usually think I'm too grumpy. But then all this happened." He hummed. "So I guess I can talk, as it's all I've been doing, and that's somehow… worked. And has kept working. I can definitely do that for you, little one."

He booped her nose. "Sweets, huh? I can make sweets. Let's do it all."

Big bro was the best. She immediately felt a bit bad for thinking so, because of Morgan, though. So Anh Sang just changed it so big bro was the best guy. Morgan could be the best girl.

Still, she made a soft sound. "I'm not that little," the girl said with a sniff. It didn't hurt but she just wanted to point out that she wasn't going to be this height forever. "Someday, I'll be as tall as you! Just you wait!" Maybe she just had to eat a lot? Or, ohhhh. Maybe her Mommy was right about having to drink more milk. She would have to do that now, if she wanted to catch up.

"I did some cookies and things earlier," she said, "and I don't think they came out too bad! But I'm still not very good at stuff. Maybe we can make things besides cookies?" Anh Sang asked hopefully.

Milo examined the small girl for a moment, making thoughtful noises and looking concentrated. Then, he nodded firmly. "I'll hold you to that promise, then. Grow to be the tallest, Anh Sang. Be powerful." He tilted his head. "Actually. You're still very young, and I had my major growth spurt in my teen years, so it isn't impossible. We'll see, kiddo."

"Baking is fun, and I like things involving food a lot in general, so there are a lot of options. There's cake, and pie, breads, scones- and it isn't baking, but I've made outright candy before. You can get creative and themed with the decorations once you're confident, too."

Even big bro thought she had a chance! Everybody who thought she would just be tiny forever could just, um! Argue with big bro about it, Anh Sang supposed. Lots of people would always start out sentences like that around her, but then they'd look at her and get really awkward about things and never actually finish it. Still, it seemed like she had some waiting to do. She wasn't even twelve yet!

"What kind of candy?" She asked, zeroing in on that. Cakes and pies and all the yummy things were great! But they didn't stay good for too long. Candy on the other hand, candy stayed good for lots of time. Although, to be fair, it wasn't like it lasted for long around her. "I think we should probably do that! It sounds fun!"

Although unaware of Anh Sang's thoughts, Milo would absolutely defend her honor any day. Nobody could argue with the little bubbly girl who had a huge, intimidating rat man standing beside her.

"Hm, let's see. I've made lollipops, other hard candies, fudge, and peanut butter cups. Does any of that sound good? It's more your win we're focusing on, so your stamp of approval on everything is necessary."

Milo clapped his hands together. "I'm all for this, though, and can definitely put aside some time to get it done with you. I can bring an apron, molds in cute shapes, and… well. You get the picture." Which was basically that he was very excited, because everything that was happening right now, as well as planned for the near future? Adorable. Precious. Clutch your chest and gasp amount of cute. His favorite.

As Milo listed all the yummy things, Anh Sang had a hard time deciding what she wanted to do. They all just sounded so good! Couldn't they do all of them? But then, she supposed that big bro had his own election things to do, too. Maybe he wouldn't have enough time for everything because he was also a grown up person who probably had adult things to do.

"Maybe lollipops because you can't break those as easily," Anh Sang said, thinking out loud. "And they're easier to pass around and bring with you to places -okay! I think lollipops would be a good idea for this!"

She paused for a moment before looking at Milo with wide eyes. "But, I mean. If you have time for all this, big bro. There's school things to still do, I guess and um, um, I don't have too much because I'm just in elementary school."
