He did pause a little when Max asked him her question. "I suppose it is rather quiet by human standards," the spirit responded. "It is a drifting sort of existence, one that is normally confined to the same pools. There are others, of course, but we are quite used to each other and pay each other not too much mind. It is comforting in a way, although it is not a life suited for most. The pace is slow and if I were to truly sleep, I may not wake up until the next century."
