[BCOLOR=transparent]Name: Elizabeth Mabel Carnegie[/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent]Age: 119 (Looks to be between 19-21)[/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent]Birthday: March 30, 1897[/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent]Gender: Female[/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent]Career: Majority Shareholder of Carnegie industries, Entrepreneur[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Appearance Description: Beth’s Violet eyes and incredibly pale skin contrast in a way that seems like she’s looking right into your soul, making it unsettling for some to make direct eye contact. Her hair is jet black and shoulder length, and contours even more with her otherwise pale skin. She stands at 5" 8.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]During the day, if she is out for some reason, she usually sports dark, dreary clothes, most often a cloak or shawl of some sort. On business calls, she sports a neat black suit and sunglasses, and prefers to make her time spent outside brief. At night, or inside, (Assuming she isn’t on a business call) she cares much less about attire, often wearing revealing clothing. Although she has lived a long time, her fashion sense has evolved with time. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]She has an affinity for leather, and often dresses in ways that would make one doubt that she was a millionaire, dressing in ripped jeans, black leather boots and a matching jacket. On other occasions, when she feels like dressing up, she can sport breathtaking dresses and jewelry, being the envy of the ball or whatever party she happens to be at. Although her style tends to be modern, it has an old world flair to it, and she sometimes even dresses in her clothes from the old days, although she prefers the clothes of men for their comfort. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Personality Description: Elizabeth is incredibly mature, and is very much a type A personality, generally preferring to be in charge. She can be cold, calculating, and brutal, and is willing to make any sacrifice for what she considers the greater good, much like her father. At least, what she thought her father to be. She doesn’t care about the means as long as they justify the ends, and knows the road to peace is paved with the blood of the fallen. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]That being said, she isn’t always so serious. In fact, it takes a lot to get her to show her true colors. Normally, Beth is rather impolite and informal, and is very generous. She tends to be the life of the party, and will drink and smoke with the best of them. She’s very social and loves making friends, especially lovers. She identifies as bisexual, but prefers women, and believes very much in the art of the one night stand, not liking to get tied down, as it might distract her from her crusade to save the world.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]She will do anything in her power to do what she thinks is ultimately right, including breaking the law, as she often does, and often runs her businesses corruptly “For the greater good.” That said, there are some lines she will not cross. Though she is adverse to them, she respects men and women of faith, and will not harm them if she can help it. She will never harm a child, or someone who cannot defend themselves.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Powers: [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Scrying[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]An obscure type of magic often mocked among witches for its unreliability, and one Elizabeth is a rare master of. Through diligent study and careful research, Beth has gained this ability and used it as the cornerstone of her economic empire. This ability grants her sight of both the past and future.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Recollection:[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]The most basic and easy to learn form of Scrying, Recollection is the ability to see the past in perfect clarity. “Hindsight is 20:20,” as they say. She is able to see every detail of a specific event at will, so long as she has a rough idea of when and where it occurred. This means that Beth has to have at least some knowledge of an event before she can go back to find it, otherwise, it’ll be like looking for a needle in an infinite haystack that grows every day. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]To use Recollection, Beth must say an incantation and perform a short incantation, her eyes sliding out of focus as she recites it, and her focus between realities shifting. Once finished, Beth’s eyes gloss over, and she begins to see past events unfold, after specifying a time and place. Events happen in real time, meaning she is vulnerable to attack during this time. She can still use her sense of touch while viewing, so is able to feel pain and react to it, ending the scrying at will[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Foresight[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]The most difficult form of scrying, drastically more difficult and speculative than the others, this one comes in two forms, short and long sight. Short sight requires no incantations and is passive, allowing the user to see up to three seconds into the future and react to events with supernatural speed. Long sight requires the same procedure as listed above, and allows the user to predict the future with varying accuracy. When dealing with normal people (Most NPCs), her powers are generally accurate, however, player characters tend to screw with her powers and make her inaccurate. Any predictions made are not fate, and do not have to occur, but rather, are seen as a suggestion. Beth cannot learn significant details she did not already know by viewing the future, such as the identity of a murderer.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Lich Physiology[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]As punishment for dabbling in forbidden magic, Elizabeth was cursed to walk the earth for all eternity, and as a result, has been cursed with the worst punishment that could be bestowed on her, and in fact her worst fear, Immortality. However, she has found over the years that life as an immortal is not all that bad, and has even been able to strengthen her powers and find use for her Lich Physiology in strengthening her magic. As a result, she possesses several very powerful abilities, although she has also gained many weaknesses[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Lich Powers[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Undead Healing Factor[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Due to her curse of undeath, beth cannot be killed for very long. The curse is such that even if her body is completely destroyed, she will reanimate eventually. As a side note, undeath has left her numb, but not immune, to pain. She can still feel, but her sense of pain has been deadened after years of growing accustomed to being immortal. Due to this, she is capable of functioning as if hale and healthy so long as her body is able to, able to casually walk while impaled through the chest. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]She also does not need to breathe, although she still possesses functioning lungs. She also can function without sleep, although she is still capable of resting and “Sleeping with her eyes open,” as her friends like to call it. She also cannot starve or die of thirst, although that doesn’t stop her from drinking all the booze she can find. On that note, she is resistant, but not immune, to the effects of drugs, and requires a lot to get enjoyment from them.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]This healing allows her to survive great wounds and function without vital organs, growing them back in a few minutes. Lost limbs or major parts of the body can also be grown back in a few minutes, depending on the severity of the wound, or reattached nearly instantly. Even if completely obliterated, Elizabeth’s soul is now that of an immortal, however hollow her body might be, and she cannot be permenently killed. She will eventually reform, with the process usually taking about a day or two. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Due to her undeath, Beth is capable of controlling her limbs even after losing them completely, meaning she can make her hands crawl or grab at someone’s leg. She loses control of the limbs after she has grown a new one. Additionally, when body parts of any kind have been replaced, the former parts will dissolve into black ash.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Undead Strength[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Beth displays supernatural strength due to her undeath, able to lift cars with relative ease and grip someone so tightly their bones snap. She prefers not to use this, but finds it useful at times. The most she can lift is about the weight of a large truck or bus, and doing so requires immense effort.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Death Magic[/BCOLOR]

A large part of the magic that originally got her cursed, and a fundamental part of her status as a Lich, Beth is capable of animating and controlling the dead. Minor undead, as in your average, run of the mill corpse, with no special powers in their origins. These corpses, when raised, will stay risen as long as able, and will not continue to rot or decay, so long as they are animate. Undead animated this way are, psychologically, the same as they were in life, and will still have beliefs, morals, and their own personalities, however, they are compelled to obey Elizabeth. Elizabeth can find corpses to raise anywhere there is ground (Dirt of some kind, sand, etc:) for her to do so, with the corpses immediately pulling themselves free of the earth.

Elizabeth can also use this to raise both player corpses and create NPCs to raise, more powerful than her mundane undead. Player corpses will retain the powers they had in life, as will NPCs. Undead players raised this way will also gain Elizabeth's strengths and weaknesses from death magic, in the same way a normal undead would. If they possessed a more powerful version of one of the effects, the more powerful one remains. Players/NPCs will be subject Elizabeth's mind control, but will retain their free will, and can resist with intense focus. Those with the ability to resist mental effects will have no trouble resisting her orders. While Elizabeth can cause a normal corpse to lose their animation at any time, an undead that can resist her control will be able to resist the same effect.

Corpses raised will gain both Elizabeth's weaknesses and her powers (Severely weakened) granted by her Lich physiology, sans the death magic. They will possess enough strength to lift a car with effort, and will be able to function as if unharmed if major physical damage is done, such as a limb being cut off, but will need to stitch the limb back on in order to regain control of it.

Elizabeth can only have five of her normal corpses raised in any location outside the grounds of her manor. Within the boundaries of Carnegie manor, or any property she owns and spends significant amounts of time binding to her power (Any player owned business or other building she has is elegible) she has no limit to the amount of undead she can raise, though undead she raises this way cannot leave the boundaries of their designated area. If they attempt to, it will appear as if an impenetrable barrier is stopping them from leaving. Player or NPC corpses that are animated are not affected by this rule.

Undead can only leave their "Power zones" via teleportation or some other act of altering space and time, and can only travel between zones, or by becoming one of Beth's five "Protected" undead. Any attempt to remove them by any means will have no effect.

[BCOLOR=transparent]Weaknesses[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Weakness to Sunlight[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Beth cannot use any of her Lich powers in direct sunlight, although dead that she has already raised will stay raised, and her immortality remains in the sense that she will simply remain dead until night falls and her powers return. Essentially, Beth cannot operate in the daytime, and while she can still go out into sunlight, the experience is not at all pleasant for her, and she usually needs to wear a hood, shades, and other apparatus for blocking light. When in direct sunlight without protection, Beth suffers from weakness, lightheadedness, and slight searing pain. These effects are lessened if she wears protective equipment, although she still cannot use her powers when simply wearing protective clothing. This effect is not carried by torchlight or any other form of artificial light.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Weakness to Holy Artifacts[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Holy water weakens Beth’s powers in the same way sunlight does, burns her, and makes her much more docile. Silver also carries a similar effect. A crucifix cannot harm her, although she is adverse to them and will avoid them if possible.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Sacred Ground[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Even before she became a Lich, Beth’s status as a Witch marked her and made her unable to cross holy ground or running water. It is literally impossible for her, and any attempt to do so will fail, any attempt to force her to do so will also fail, as if a barrier was stopping her. In the case of running water, she would simply be washed away in the current, disappearing for upwards of a week. She CAN cross bridges, but doing so is very unpleasant for her and requires acute mental focus for her. Travel by boat or plane over water does not harm her, however. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Biography: Beth was born in 1879, twin sister to Marge Carnegie, and daughter to Andrew Carnegie, a scottish american industrialist who led the expansion of the american steel industry. Being the child of a millionaire philanthropist meant that while she never wanted for something material, she never felt the love of a father until very late into her childhood. Her father very much believed that any man could rise to millions, just as he had, and so he cast her out into the world to make her own way, promising to be a safety net for her, but not giving her a dollar for herself. This would be her undoing. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Living on her own, going from riches to rags, Beth began to dabble in dark magics to earn her keep, with necromancy and even fortune telling coming into her repertoire. Eventually, she discovered her ability to predict the future, actually accurately predict it, and set to work earning her fortune. She got a loan from the bank and took it to the stock market. In a matter of days, she went from nothing to possessing an empire rivaling her father’s. Andrew couldn’t be prouder, and was oblivious to her powers. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Eventually, Beth was set upon by a few of her former colleagues whom she had fallen in bad relations with. They resented her wealth and how she used it, donating to schools and museums but advocating her father’s brutal workplace conditions. They set a curse upon her, cursing her to live forever and see the fruits of her corruption. And see them she did, and she didn’t like it at all.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]It took time, but Elizabeth changed her ways. Her workers got shorter shifts and higher pay, and her donations were directed more tactfully. Her immortal heart had swayed. While she still practiced VERY corrupt business techniques, she did them with good intentions, and generally tried not to exploit the lower class, instead targeting the corrupt upper class. It was time to fight fire with fire.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Eventually, after more and more attacks on her home, she decided it was best for her to leave the country. She left the business in suitable hands and fled to Monte Carlos, where she has lived for many years now, silently managing her empire from the safety of the island, and generally keeping her head down, slowly spreading her roots out on the island. There she met Elaina Ria, her mistress, who drowned her in sin, but also reminded her what she fought for. Beth had been dead for many years now, and yet she still felt so alive. That was what she fought for, for every man, woman and child. [/BCOLOR]Her goal? Eliminate the evil on the island in any way she could. Not the sinners, no, she was one of them too, after all. But she knows deep down there was always a bigger monster to kill.

Although a little hypocritical of her, Beth has learned much about business from her father, particularly his tricks for saving money, such as underpaying the workers. While she believes herself above such practices, about 90% of her employees are undead, compelled to serve her without cost. She typically offers rewards for this service, such as favors and family care in place of money. Most of her staff works for her out of loyalty or desire for immortality, and don't typically receive monetary compensation for their work. Most staff are housed on the premises they work, due to the nature of their Resurrection.

She currently lives in Carnegie Manor on Monte Carlos, a large, secluded manor with plenty of spare acreage, with a living staff of about 30 servants that served Beth while she was a child. She raised them all from the dead and smuggled them along with her to the island so that she could bring a piece of home with her. Besides her undead servants, nobody else lives in Carnegie manor, and most believe the building to be haunted.

[BCOLOR=transparent]Additional Information: Beth is a tycoon and is VERY rich, and has webs of contacts throughout the city. I will be making a business for her soon. [/BCOLOR]
