"Oh?!" Zora remarked in surprised as she then looked closer, paid more attention to the young man in front of her, trying to detect what he meant by the comment, and after a second, she met his gaze, "You stated before that you did not want to be a regalia, but also something about choosing when one died..." she murmured as she eyed him up and down again, something was niggling at her now, "Are you,... a spirit?" she asked Ithai hesitantly.

He shrugged. "Spirit's blood runs through my family," Ithai explained. "It's a little thicker in me than in most so I've got a bit of the knack to go with it. Only minor things, of course. Small wish granting here and there and knowing what people want. It's nothing really special. I like being able to grant small wishes like this, though."

"That... that's quite special," Zora admitted. She hadn't met too many people/creatures that had spirit blood in them, or knowingly met. It's possible she had, but none had been like Ithai so Zora wasn't really too if he was the way he was thanks to having spirit blood, or if he had always been like he is now.

"What kind of wishes do you grant?" Zora asked curiously.

"I grant mine mostly as favors," Ithai said. "I am literally obligated to repay somebody if they do anything for me. A stack of bills normally works perfectly fine but if they turn that down, I often resort to wishing. It's more of summoning, however, than true wishing. So no conjuring things out of nowhere or turning something into something else."

"Oh, something like what?" Zora asked curiously, wondering what the man before actually meant by that. "I mean surely you aren't going to repay somebody for opening a door for you, no? I'd guess it would be something more important?"

He laughed a bit. "Oh no, nothing like that," Ithai said contemplatively. "That can be usually repaid with a simple thank you. I'm talking about something like oh, say. Giving me a book I wanted for free. Something like that which actually took time and has value, I meant. Books are the best option, honestly. I don't mind doing summonings for those."

"Books. Yes. I love books too. The family has a vast library. Some tomes go back hundreds of years, with handwritten, hand-drawn pictures..." she admitted, completely understanding the value of such an item.

"What's the rarest book you have here?" Zora asked Ithai as she looked around the bookshop.

"Rarest, huh?" Ithai repeated thoughtfully. "That's an interesting word. Do you mean what's the oldest? The most expensive? Or the one most full of obscure knowledge? We've got a little of each but I have to admit that we lack a lot of the really expensive and really old tomes. We just don't have the money to insure or store them properly. It's kind of a shame. I'd love to get my hands on some of those."

"Hmm... " Zora murmured thoughtfully, "I guess rarest could easily refer to any of those choices, but to me rarest would mean information," she said, "Since the oldest could be anything from an old accounting ledger to a family recipe collection. Which, I admit, is interesting, but not extremely useful."
