"So, if I died, and didn't move on, I could, technically, become a regalia?" Zora asked curiously, her thoughts now going to her brother, his recent passing and wondering if he had moved on. She hoped he had, for everyone's sake, Tomas had been a right cruel bastard in real life.

"I ... I am bonding with Eira, she's a better fit emotionally," Zora told the young man before her, thinking about the colder more honest regalia now, and not sure why she was being this honest, "The first regalia I had was too, morose, despairing... he was too emotional," she admitted with a sigh. "I have too many emotional males in my life at the moment," she confessed, knowing that she probably sounded a bit insensitive.

"If you didn't become corrupted first, then yes," Ithai said. "It's all right, though," he continued, feeling her desire for somebody else to have moved on. "Only the ones selfless enough to genuinely choose that path become Regalia. The rest simply fail."

For a little while, Ithai looked the woman up and down. "Better one than none at all, really," he said finally. "If she's more what you need, then there's no helping it. Hard feelings won't last for too long among Regalia. They have other things to do besides linger forever on a single person. Quite literally, they have an eternity to get over it."

"Corrupted...?" Zora murmured softly, she had a tiny feeling that she was probably one of those individuals who were not pure enough and would fail in the afterlife as a regalia. Not that it mattered since she was immortal now, and didn't expect to die anytime soon.

"Yes, she is. Eira is much better suited to me, her presence is oddly comforting," Zora admitted. The regalia was not warm or kind, but she wasn't unkind either, and Zora found that was what she needed.

"You said, or hinted at, that you didn't want to be a regalia, why is that? she asked him very seriously.

"Why?" Ithai asked. "Well, I rather like helping people in this way. If I were a Regalia, I might not be the same anymore. There was a chance that I'd stop being me. My cousin, she did it but lost a bit of what she used to be in return. That part was filled up by the Regalia aspects. She was always a good kid before but now-" He made a vague gesture with his hand. "She used to be so much more volatile, so much more human. But now she's taken a temperament and stuck with it."

"Oh, it's not a bad thing," he said, hastily doubling back. "She's a nice girl, she really is. But humans are meant to learn and grow and it feels like she's locked herself in. But she's really happy that way so I guess it's fine, isn't it?"

Zora listened, very fascinated by what the young man had to say about regalia. And as she listened, Zora found that she was slowly beginning to understand, or at least she thought she did, as she considered Eira and how her range of emotions were limited to an extent. "They are limited by their temperament and aspect, aren't they?" Zora asked as she looked at him curiously.

"They are a bit, yes," Ithai said. "I can't say that I know much more on that particular subject, though. If you'd like, I could redirect you to my cousin or one of the proctors." It was nice having another person around besides Aslan and Claudius, Ithai mused. It was just too bad that customers tended to be one of two types - regulars and one-timers. The regulars tended to avoid him a bit and the one-timers, of course, never came back.

¨No, that's fine... I don't want to be a bother'," Zora said shaking her head, "I was just curious about that. Eita, my regalia, hardly ever seems warm and friendly...she´s not unkind, that I can tell, but she´s definitely not the hugging type either."

Regarding the young man before her, Zora remembered suddenly something, he had said about himself and his family, "Does your family know who has magical blood?"

“We tend to keep track of the larger magical families,” Ithai said, smiling. His eyes shifted from side to side. “Of course, if you wish to know if somebody in particular has supernatural heritage,” he put particular emphasis on wish, “that’s quite a different question. One that I might be able to help with.”
