Mikistli couldn’t help but growl and mumble under her breath as she waited for her Secret Santa partner to show up, a gift carefully wrapped in black wrapping paper with a blood-red ribbon on it in her hands.

She had no idea of how Coatzin managed to convince her that this was a good idea, she wasn’t of the kind that went around giving gifts and joy to everyone around, that was Coatzin’s job. She was the one that was supposed to kill that people and enjoy their suffering…she didn’t even allowed her to pick what she would give to this guy named William, it wasn’t like if she didn’t know what he would like…probably? The cat sweater that included a cute hood with cat ears and even a fluffy tail, which could be taken off if the wearer wanted to use them without the sweater itself, was far from what Mikistli had in mind.

Oh well, she only had to put up with this nonsense during this stupid time of the year, and hopefully this whole thing would be over soon.

On her own defense, Coatzin told her that she wouldn’t let her out of the mirror world this whole month if she didn’t tried to be somewhat nice and be part of all the cutsey stuff about Christmas spirits and joy and blah, blah, blah…bullshit.

She was just resting against a wall, hidden between the shadows of the place, the only way to tell her apart from them being her glowing red blood eyes. Her thoughts where interrupted when she heard someone approaching.

Join the christmas celebrations, they said. It'd be fun, they said!

William couldn't help but tentatively agree, especially when all the other librarians were doing it. It wasn't a school-restricted thing, so he honestly could've gotten anyone. Well, that was one way to meet new people and meeting then while bearing gifts was pretty wonderful, too!

That was, until he received the slip of paper with the name and interests of this person.

William was aware that English may not have been his mother tongue, nor did he claim to be the best at it, but what kind of name was 'Mikistli'? And under interests it literally said "violent videogames". What... But...

Okay, so as a teacher and a responsible member of the community who so generously took him in despite being infected with a deadly zombifiying virus, he would not be getting this person anything violent. Instead, he purchased a nice little present, wrapped it up all pretty in white paper and headed towards the designated meeting place.

Once he got to the school's courtyard at the meeting time, however, he didn't see anyone... A quick glance around revealed a couple of other people lingering, but nobody that fit the brief description he'd been given...

Mikistli took the paper with the description of the one she was supposed to meet in this pace, and after making sure that he was the one she nodded to herself, putting the paper back inside her pocket and walking out of the shadows where she had been waiting.

She walked towards him, his steps as silent as always, but his actions while walking made it known that she wasn’t even trying to hide her presence at all, actually all the other way around. The dense dark aura surrounding her making most people around feel uncomfortable or threatened when being around her, just like always, and her unfriendly glare wasn’t exactly helping much to ease those feelings.

She looked at William silently for a second or two before talking to him “William Hwe-Yeon Song, am I right?” Unlike other times she didn’t really tried to hide the small lisp that made her drag any ‘S’ thanks to her snake tongue, and though it wasn’t as obvious as it would be if she didn’t even bothered to try it was still a bit noticeable.

Maybe he'd gotten the place wrong? William fished the scrap of paper out of his pocket and read it again; no, no, this was the school courtyard. He was at the right place and the right time, so where was she? Maybe she was just a little late, was all...

But then there was a girl approaching him. She wasn't very tall, but she seemed to be glaring daggers at him long before she even got her gift. Huh, did she just not want to participate but got dragged into it anyways? How anticlimactic, he was hoping for someone who would be over-the-moon joyful at the idea, so then maybe he could feel a little happier about it.

Then again, she did list that she liked violent video games.

"Oh, h-hello..." He waved, giving her a small smile. Well, no matter what mood she was in, she deserved to be smiled at. "Yes, that would be me. And I'm guessing you're... M... Uh..."

Damn, he didn't know how to pronounce her name.
