Cabel Sokot was pacing through the empty classroom.

To say that he was stressed out didn't fully express how uncontrollably pissed, worried, anxious, and angry he was. Sure, the words were basically synonyms, but Cabel was...

"Agh!" He kicked a desk.

He was agh!

Cabel Sokot had been compromised. It'd been weeks without an incident but, then, he'd received an uncomfortable phone call from a client.

"Hey uhh...my boyfriend turned into a cat. Does that normally happen?"

That did not normally happen, although everyone's body chemistry was different so it's possible her boyfriend, a half-shapeshifter, might have different reactions than everyone else. Then a second call came...and a third.

He'd done trial runs with no problems. He was certain this was not on his end. Finally, he'd gotten back some of his stuff only to find out--yup. It'd been compromised.

His name was on the line. His reputation. His business.

He did the only thing he could do: he sent word out via several well-trusted informants to his most recent customers.

Meet me in room 500.5B in the Academy. The empty one by the painting of the head mistress that looks like her eyes are crossed. This is urgent.

He'd have to break the news to them that, in a matter of hours, they were going to turn into cats, and Cabel didn't know how long that was going to last.

((ooc: Alright poof kitties! Here's what's up--there's not really a posting order. I will try to post last to include everyone. Characters also don't have to stay in this thread--feel free to use it as a jumping point and have them disappear elsewhere))

Dulce had stared at the small envelope of tablets he'd been given from a friend of a friend of a friend. He had wondered if they would work, but then again, the guy that made them, Dulce had heard, was unusually impeccable with his works. Well, bottoms up. He had thought with a shrug, downing two of the tablets without thought before settling down in his king-sized four poster bed. Sure, his father would probably be disappointed that he'd snuck in sleeping pills of all things, but whenever he closed his eyes, he saw Micah.

Sweet, innocent Micah smiling at him, as if his weakness hadn't been the reason Micah was gone, torn from the world and forced to watch, prisoner in his own body, as Wrath, the bastard, lived li--

He had broken off that train of thought, unwilling to think about it. He simply wanted to let the pills take their course so he could have a normal night's sleep and not depend on the sort-of-high he got from sex to get him through the days, which seemed to become more tedious for him as the weeks flew by.

That had been the night before.

And now, when he was just about to have some... fun with a group of... friends, he'd gotten a notice.

Meet me in room 500.5B in the Academy. The empty one by the painting of the head mistress that looks like her eyes are crossed. This is urgent.

What in the world could possibly be so urgent that his fun needed to be interrupted?

Regardless of his worries, he sauntered into the usually unused classroom and looked around to find the man he assumed was this Cabel Sokot, hips swaying with a natural sensuality that at least hinted at his status as the Sin of Lust.

Or, just a really seasoned whore. Marco's ranted words, not his.

Thorn was pretty dependent on Cabel's drugs at this point.

Unnerved? She'd take a depressant. Needs a kickstarter? Stimulant. Something to help get down and dirty in the dance floor? Mild hallucinogen. Really, really bored? Strong hallucinogen. She'd start shaking if she went through twenty four hours without taking his drugs once. She needed them to help her in her day to day so much that it was a wonder she didn't need them for sleeping.

"So, what, you're gonna take his sleeping pills now?"

Joker was less enthusiastic about this idea. If you ask him, this whole drug business is bad news. He'd seen the side effects. Mr. Perfect, brilliant drug dealer Cabel's stickers were complete shit. He'd seen Thorn vomit all the contents of her stomach in mornings and faint randomly at the middle of the day. There was even a time when Thorn had to take a sick leave from school and work because Cabel made her dangerously sick. Thorn taking new drugs from him was going to end up bad. Colossally bad. He told her.

His prophecy came true when, around lunch time, some dude came up to them and relayed them the following message:

Meet me in room 500.5B in the Academy. The empty one by the painting of the head mistress that looks like her eyes are crossed. This is urgent.

Joker looked at Thorn.

"You're gonna get sick again~" he sang. "I told you, man. Didn't I tell you? I told you what was gonna happen and you ain't listenin'."

Thorn punched him in the shoulder and went to the meeting place. It — it couldn't be that bad. Thorn had taken the worst of Cabel's stuff and came out of them alive. This wasn't that urgent.

Everything was going to be okay.

Nobody knew where he lived beside a selected few, for someone so shady as to deal drugs he wouldn't give any hints of location to his academy room and neither did he give his location in the Fight Club who seemed a goody too shoe or otherwise seemed as if they could not handle it.

He would thank all the almighty creatures that he could think of because he had given the location to Caleb but at the same time he would curse him, not for the fact that he had made him into a cat but because he had given the location to someone else, what happened with costumer information confidential policy or didn't Caleb have that?

Both his enforcer had been of duty on the same night so he couldn't take random power naps throughout the night, this meant he had been in a serious need of sleeping pills. After much search he found Caleb, the man who provided him with "sleeping pills" that transformed him into a cat. The transformation happened while turning and twisting throughout the night, trying to sleep, though he hadn't felt any different so he just kept his eyes closed until there where someone on his floor, well he didn't just know there was someone he could hear the person.

Walking of the bed, falling to the floor, he realized that the bed was quite big or he had shrunk. It couldn't be his zodiac powers, he had experienced them all. He walked by a broken mirror to see a tabby in his reflection, what was this, why was he a cat?

"'Scouse me" a stranger startled him a bit.

"The fuck do you w... Oh, my God! a giant!"

The "giant" put down a piece of paper on the ground, it read:

Meet me in room 500.5B in the Academy. The empty one by the painting of the head mistress that looks like her eyes are crossed. This is urgent.

"Oh, he is so dead!" he said out loud though he was probably just sounding like a cat to others. He imitated a cat on his way to the classroom, so perfectly that everyone would believe him to be one, albeit a very sleepy one. Once there he jumped up on a student desk, laid down and let out a yawn, he could still not sleep.

Coral had somehow got a hold of the sleeping pills made by Cabel. She figured she might need to start drugging herself to sleep and what better person to ask for advice than her dear friend, Thorn. She didn't need to consult Joker about it. She trusted Thorn and any of advice she would give and she was sure any mistake was not on Thorn's case.

She would, of course, doubt any of those other drugs Thorn was taking but sleeping pills, as far as Coral knew, were relatively safe when taken in the right doses. And Coral had enough common sense to know how much she'd need for one good night's sleep.

Coral had spent an entire day trying to decide if she wanted to actually drug herself to sleep. She was already taking anti-depressants and she was a little unsure about taking any more because she was afraid her system might not be able to handle it. The again I survived this mutation up until now. What's gonna happen?

Nothing bad came up the morning she woke up. In fact, she was feeling pretty great that she'd gotten some sleep. But just as she was on her way to class, she got a notice from some random guy she'd never met before. The note said:

Meet me in room 500.5B in the Academy. The empty one by the painting of the head mistress that looks like her eyes are crossed. This is urgent.

Coral just stood there in front of the high school building, looking at the note. What was that about? Well'p. Time to go there and investigate.

Sleeping pills were hard to come by without a prescription, and the school’s health plan wouldn’t cover them. That’s where Cabel came in.

Chloe needed to fix her sleep schedule so she could make the early shift of her new job. She needed to go to sleep earlier and stay asleep. His pills were supposed to do that, without the morning-after drowsiness some other sleeping pills would. They were also supposed to make her dreams less awful.

As it turns out, paying a visit to actual, literal hell gave Chloe nightmares. Sometimes she was in the place of the damned souls, watching her own body rot and fall apart. Sometimes her father’s true form was watching her suffer. Sometimes she was perfectly safe, but her father was making her torture someone; honestly, these kinds of dreams were the worst of them all. All of them were bad enough to ruin her sleep for the night.

Chloe took two of Cabel’s pills, and had just gotten out of the shower when she saw the message on her phone.

Meet me in room 500.5B in the Academy. The empty one by the painting of the head mistress that looks like her eyes are crossed. This is urgent.

Fifteen minutes later, she was there. She had thrown on a black t-shirt and some running shorts. The first thing she saw was an eyeful of Dulce’s swaying butt. Immediately, she realized that she hadn’t done her usual taping or gaffing to hide what was in her pants, and her shorts weren’t designed to accommodate that part of her body. She hopped on a desk and crossed her legs, hoping nobody else had time to notice.

“Alright, what’s this about?”

Wei had been very skeptical of anything Sid gave him. It was pretty much a prerequisite to being his friend. Say no to anything he tries to give you because he has no idea exactly what was going on with his drugs. He had to take almost 3x the normal dosage of drug just to reach the same effect as someone else. Who wants to deal with someone like that? That would get someone killed!

But he'd heard about Wei having sleeping troubles, and he'd gone through all the trouble of getting these pills from... whoever. He'd even probably actually asked about proper dosage and stuff like that, because he'd given Wei two tablets, while he himself had six.

Wei looked at him, clearly skeptical...

And they took the pills together, taking a deep drink of water to help them go down.

Good.

Wei didn't feel too drowsy at first, but the pills started acting after only a few minutes, making him drowsy. Sid watched. It was cute.

The both of them were both knocking on sleep's door when he got a text from Cabel to meet him in one of them Empty classrooms.

He tugged the little monkey, already asleep, onto his back and made his way to the empty room. The drugs worked if nothing else, if Wei's peaceful rest was anything to go by.

Cabel had a brief moment of hope as the room started to fill with people, because they were just that--people--but then a cat walked in.

Cabel lost it.

He kicked a desk infront of everyone, giving a strangled curse. It seemed to help, though, because he took a deep breath, exhaled, and clenched his fist like he was grabbing his thoughts.

"You must be wondering why I called you all here," Cabel said, looking at each of them, his face somber. "And why I didn't just explain in the message I sent for you."

"Well," Cabel reached down and produced a box from behind the desk. He dumped several neon, jingly cat collars on the desk. "If you are familiar with my reputation, you know I pride myself on the lowest and most mild side effects."

Cabel started to pace, his fists still clenched. "It appears that someone has been trying to destroy my reputation by tampering with my goods and you've all been caught in the crossfire. For that, you have my sincerest apologies and my utmost promise that I am working to reverse the side effect as soon as possible."

He looked each one of them in the eye and then said, "Unfortunately in the next few hours you'll all be turning into cats."

Cabel braced himself for the worst.

Lying there on the school desk yawning, he hadn't paid any attention to others in the room or what was happening so when a desk suddenly moved he automatically moved to the window "I am a wake, I am awake" the words came out somewhat quick for someone as sleepy as he.

"You must be wondering why I called you all here,"

"Does it have anything to do with why I am tired? Didn't you say that the pill would knock me out?" to tired to think about the whole cat businesses but within a yawn it dawned upon him "But of course you cant understand me.".

He blinked, not once, not twice but three times before he realized what Cabel held, Tao bristled "Aw, hell no. I am not wearing that thing." If he ever was going to have a leash on him it would be combined with certain bedroom activities. It wasn't Cabel's fault and he couldn't go back in time to get a proper sleep pill, he would forgive Cabel had it not been for the fact that Tao didn't knew who the culprit was.

Lowest and most mild side effects? That didn't seem right. For some of his stickers, maybe. But not in general. They made her sicker than using dirty needles. She wondered if that was an intentional thing. Maybe the high was supposed to be as intense as the side effect? She didn't know much about magic stickers to tell.

Still... if Cabel's stuff really was getting tampered... She couldn't blame him for that, right? Maybe she could talk to him about it later. Make him squeeze out a few extra stickers for her. That was a sound idea.

Back to the matter at hand. Thorn eyed the collars distastefully, raising one up and scrunching her nose at it. She let it drop back into the box. "Ditto on the collars, C. I have a rocker aesthetic going on. I can't wear that and I especially don't want to turn into a cat. Can't you work on the cure now?"
