Crow continued to stand, motionless. It was always far easier to hide in plain sight like this, especially for someone like Crow. The advantages of being a living scarecrow, he surmised as he watched the campers bustle about.

He willed the glow of his face to return in a flicker as Yoka glanced at him, the light leaving the moment her eyes left. He was hoping it'd get her to think it was a trick of the light. When nobody was looking, Crow activated his Anklet of Translocation. The magic buable twinkled slightly in its place under Crows raggedy zuit, and the scarecrow teleported forward slightly, just a few feet. He moved far enough to make people second guess themselves, that feeling of 'Wasn't that thing further away? Eh, i must be delusional'. After all, people were always more interesting when they believe themselves correct.

Crow let his grin grow slightly, the slitted mouth shifting upwards ever so slowly. He could sense the magic aura some of these campers had around them. This was going to be fun.

(( i can be skipped from now on, until someone directly interacts with Crow. Id appreciate being notified if someone does mess with him, as his response will change depending on what happens.

Cat felt observing eyes in her neck, as if a predator where looking at them but for that to be it had to be a dangerous one. She reached to her middle back where she grabbed one of her knives and threw it in the same motion, the knife flew between the heads of Ardos and Kiyana and got stuck on a tree somewhere in the forest.

"Whops, I dropped my knife."

Her words had perhaps been a bit too obvious and transparent though she needed to protect Yoka and the best way was usually to stay close however this time she needed to investigate whatever made her feel uncomfortable.

"Kiyana, ill tag along to get my knife"

What she hadn't know was that Lilith, a native sentient Drow, had been the one watching them, ever hiding in the shadows, observing the strange visitors and always on guard as if not to be detected.

Ardos bristled when the knife flew over his head. He knew it couldn't have pierced his skin, but the idea that it was so close to hitting unnerved him. He gave Cat a sharp glare.

Now, Ardos defaulted to having no opinions to the people around him. As such, it was easy to categorize them from "neutral" into "threat". He dropped the logs near the fireplace, never taking his gaze off Cat. His hand shook, wanting nothing but to teach her a damn lesson, but he calmed himself. No need to start a fight now.

"I know you're security," Ardos said softly but threateningly, "But if you pull another stunt like that around me, you're going to wish you still had your fancy knife."

Ardos stacked the firewood meanwhile. When he was satisfied with his work, he light it carefully with his lighter. The sharp light of the flame hurt his eyes. He wished they could back to the comforting dark, but he supposed humans had odd sensibilities.

"Fire's done, Ms. Sake." He sat back against a log, arms crossed but ever vigilant.

Quickly paying attention as Yoka started to talk, the idea of making food brought excitement to her body. Considering that if they had brought any vegetables or even fruit, she could make them taste a lot better, and maybe even make her fellow employees want to eat the more. She couldn't guarantee that. When Yoka changed her mind however, she didn't change her excitement level, as exploring to see what the noise was that worried Yoka so. "You got it ma'am!" She said with a bright smile as she got a bit scared at the fact that she saw something swish past her, hitting something away from her. Turning her head at the sound of her name, she nodded normally as the girl wanted to tag along. "Of course, thank you." Starting to walk to where she saw the thing whip by her.

Murphy shouldered through the forest and eventually made it into the clearing, diving behind a rock to avoid a knife whizzing past and impaling a nearby tree. "Oi! Ease off, I'm not here to fight, just lost!"

He instinctively reached for the coin in his pocket but paused, the thing hadn't had nearly enough time to charge up properly yet and besides, he couldn't go around relying on the thing ALL the time now could he?

Cautiously he peeked out from behind the boulder, "Sorry if I scared ya, just a little lost see?" he pulled out his student identification and waved it at them. "Just got lost on my way to a school camping trip...er, don't suppose any of you know where I'm supposed to be going?"

Doll didn't get up from its stretched out position on the sleeping bag- but it did turn its head to the young woman who'd approached it- Cynthia, it thought, was her name- offering a mild smile and its attention. It was used to being the recipient of staring, and met the gaze unashamedly.

"Hello," The artificial said to the living, voice softly melodic. It laughed for a moment, amused by the other's clear apathy. "I'm sorry, it doesn't sound like you're having much fun here at the moment, and I know you came over here because you were asked to... nonetheless, it's a pleasure to finally meet one of my coworkers, and I'm glad you came over here."

The doll sat up, delicate hands resting twined together on its knees. "Is there anything you'd want to talk about that would put you in a better place, perhaps? Or would you just like to sit in peace? I won't force you to interact with me, if you'd rather have time to yourself, luv."

[Evelyn]

"Eye em en here! Miss Yolka eye em here. Eye got ze marshenmallows en ze fire vood. Eye also being haven ze meat for en meal tonight. Tonite Eye be making mein en borscht."

Evelyn spoke loudly and clearly as she walked a large bundle of sticks and wood in her arms with a massive military pack on her back.. She was dressed for this type of thing. It was as if she was never without it. Though akin to each time she was at the crossed fox or even else where Evelyn was visibly carrying a gun and more than one knife. One could never be TOO careful and Evelyn was prepared on the off chance this particular trip became one of a more serious adventure. Including flint and steel, waterbottle, compass, etc. It was the gear that she traversed in the wild for a good year with. She knew it was perfect for this setting.

The camp was starting to look like a camp as everyone got moving, and Yoka was pleased.

Though Yoka was still displeased by Evelyn's weapons, she was tolerating Ardos's sword, so her argument had begun to fall apart.

"Evelyn dear," Yoka said. "Please tell me you have the cooking wine?"

Yoka was rummaging through a pack now, looking for something else, although occasionally her eyes would dart up to check that everyone was where she sent them. If they weren't or looked like they needed help, she'd beckon to them with one finger. Otherwise, Yoka would get up an inch towards the fire pit.....

....and then look around, and realize that she couldn't remember the last time she had made a fire without using her powers.

"Well shit," she said. Dinner was going to be a while.

Cynthia yawned, Doll seemed kind of interesting but she wished she could be back home under her 4 blankets. "Yeah nice too meet you as well. Honestly I didnt really want to come to this camping trip but Boss Lady made me." she wasnt looking at Doll, her eyes where up in the sky.

She was thinking about the Powerful Rangers episode she was missing, as Yoka had suggested she ended up recording the episode on her DVR, but she wanted to watch it live so she could blog about it. Cynthia ran a blog with a couple thousand followers and they all waited for her to write her reactions and speculations on each new episode, and now they were being robbed of that because she had to go camping. Lame.
