Pham Thi Anh Sang

There was, somewhere in the school, an information club. Somewhere. That was the thing. Apparently nobody actually knew where it was or, if they did, they weren't speaking up about it. While that was totally frustrating and not cool to Anh Sang, she could appreciate the challenge. Then, when she finally found it, it would just mean so much more!

She was running through the hallways at the moment like some sort of a mad person, a flock of light butterflies swarming after her. Somebody had told her that the room was magic and that it would disappear if she didn't find it in five minutes. Maybe it was true, maybe it was just a joke, but Anh Sang was going to make that person eat their words.

Cupping her hands around her mouth, she shouted loudly, "HI I'M LOOKING FOR THE INFORMATION CLUB ARE YOU HERE?" Even if nobody answered back, she was still throwing open all of the doors.

Wesker looked up from his ledger. Interesting someone seemed to be looking for his club, and not being at all subtle about it. Even through his dampening clothing, he could feel the shaking of the walls as the doors were roughly thrown open and then closed again, heading down the hall towards him.

Rising from the teacher's desk he had stationed himself at, Wesker stepped over to the door to the classroom. A mere few moments before Anh Sang reached the door, he opened it and extended a hand out to place on her back, gently ushering her inside before closing the door again.

Once the privacy had once again been established, he turned to the little girl and gave her a small bow. "Welcome to my information and assistance club. You seemed to be looking for it. How my I be of service."

Before Anh Sang really knew what was happening, she was pulled into the room by a person much bigger than she was. Which, to be fair, was almost everybody. But still!

Her mommy and daddy had taught her manners so after the few moments of confusion, Anh Sang bowed right back in what was more or less a proper Japanese bow. "Um hi!" She actually winced a bit at how loud her voice was. When people were polite around her, it always made her feel a bit more nervous and self conscious.

She tried again, "Um, I'm Anh Sang. I'm trying to run for student council right now but I need some help with getting votes. I don't really know what to do and part of your club name is assis-assistance." The word was hard and her English was still not that great but she was awfully proud of herself for getting it out.

Wesker allowed Anh to explain herself, listening intently and nodding occasionally. He was assessing the small girl, trying to figure out if she was worth his time. "I see, Anh Sang... is that a Japanese name?" He swapped over to Japanese, his tongue rolling over the words with constructed ease. "We can continue this conversation in this language if you prefer."

His smile widened slightly, his eyes analyzing the girl. The student council was promising, it could be possible this small child could be in a position of power very soon. A few favors from her could be valuable.

Anh Sang stared at the boy, her eyes wide. And then, barely a second later, a wide grin had spread over her face. "My name's Vietnamese, actually!" she said cheerfully, also in Japanese but with a noticeable accent. "Pham Thi Anh Sang! My mom's family is all Japanese from Osaka, though. They call me Anzu sometimes over but anything will do!"

"Um, so, sorry, what's your name?" She held herself back a bit after realizing how carried away she had gotten. She was just so glad to be able to speak Japanese with somebody.

Wesker chuckled a little, He seemed to have come across a weak point. Amazing how quickly people tended to open up when they realized you could speak their preferred language. "I see. Osaka is lovely, but I've only been there a handful of times myself."

He bowed again, drawing one of his gloved hands across his abdomen. "My name is Wesker Straundlin, head of the I&A club. It is a pleasure to meet you, Miss Pham." He gestured to a pair off chairs off to the side. "Would you like to have a seat?"

Wesker would either sit down after her, or simply remain standing. "Indeed, assistance is in the club's title. I believe we can assist with your issue. We do not work for free though, you understand. We trade in favors, so we may ask for some assistance in return at a later date. You are welcome to turn us down if you feel it isn't a fair trade of course."

Oh, and he'd been to her other hometown, too! She sat down when he offered, because she was never one to refuse that sort of thing. Once she had, the girl began to swing her feet. Her legs were still too short to touch the ground. But she enjoyed it, anyways, and might as well continue to do so until she became a real adult.

She tilted her head. "Ah? What sort of favors?" Anh Sang asked. She wasn't really sure what an upperclassman would want an elementary school student to do. Maybe run errands? "Would you be interested in magic?" The girl suggested, scrunching up her face a bit in thought. "I can put magic in people! Oh, but I'm not too good at it, yet. Most people don't want me to because it feels funny at first but it really doesn't hurt at all after a while."

Wesker shrugged. "It depends. The favor could any number of things. It could have to do with magic perhaps, what does putting magic into people do for them exactly?"

It wasn't that helpful of an answer but Anh Sang did like to talk about her powers quite a bit. "Oh, well, I guess it lets them manipulate light a bit like I do," she said thoughtfully. "I haven't tried on anybody since before coming to school, though, and they made me take it back right afterwards because they were afraid their parents would be angry. I don't think it would be as strong, though."

Wesker nodded a little, pulling out his ledger again and making a note. "Perhaps that will come into play then. You don't have to worry about it now, as I said, you may turn it down if you feel we are asking too much of you. What was the position you were aiming for on the council?"
