Yawning abruptly, Fonatine strolled past a lovely bush of berries, that were starting to now fall off the branches. Because of that, she stopped, and picked one of the berries off the bush, examined it, and then placed it on the top of the bush. She wasn't all that happy that autumn was already here, as that meant that winter was coming, which was her least favorite season. Everything was white, which did match her hair, but that just meant that everything she tried to touch would most likely be white if she were to go outside a lot. After a brief moment of staring a a cute couple walking past her, she smiled and continued forth.

Fontaine wasn't sure what she was going to do today. Maybe she would visit some of the shops to see if they had some clothes or colors that she would like to 'borrow'. To her though, she never thought of her power as stealing, as unless she had her gloves on, she really only had her mind to make the choice. Rolling her shoulders, she thought of how silly she would look if someone saw her taking a piece of clothing by waving her hand close to it. There were a lot of people out today, but she wondered why so early in the day. Well for her, early was 4 pm, as she was more a night owl.

Pausing for a moment to look at an extremely attractive girl, she then saw a light blue color that she was dying to try. Fastly walking over to the blue bench, she extended her right hand, making sure her glove was not visible, and then lightly touched the object as the color then transferred to her sweater. "So adorable!" She cheered quietly to herself. These types of things really did make her happy.

In Suk hated autumn -in the western hemisphere anyways- not for the cold but because it seemed like that was the time of year when people started to buy a lot of new things without throwing away the old. So because of that, her take aways from the dumpsters weren't nearly as fruitful this time of year than, say, spring. Now that was a good season! She had never really believed in spring cleaning but if as long as she'd continue to get such good junk from people, she couldn't find it in herself to complain.

Sometimes, though, she'd fantasize about this perfect mix of Asian people who did spring cleaning. Since their new year was in the autumn and it was good luck to do cleaning then, that meant that they'd be throwing away things all year long instead of just one time. There didn't seem like there were a lot of those on the island, though. So. Oh well. People couldn't have it all.

Oooh, this is a nice clock! Picking up a large, circular one out of the trashcan, In Suk stopped to admire just how salvageable it was. The clock was a nice black one with metallic numerals, with the hands all bent and a good dent visible on one side, probably from being dropped. It didn't look as if it had been made with a glass face, which was a shame but the girl supposed that she wasn't really lacking of glass these days. All she had to do was pick up beer bottles that people left behind on campus and that gave her more than enough to experiment with.

She stuffed her find rather carelessly in the large, black trash bag she had brought along with her. It was maybe a sixth full right now and she wasn't particularly optimistic about finding much more from plain old public trashcans. Normally, she'd go for dumpsters since that was where the real stuff was at but she had gotten held back by class and missed her chance. Now, all the good dumpsters had already been emptied. If it were any other place, she'd just head to the dump instead, but somebody had told her once that the dump here was less of a dump and more of a place where trigger happy people with fire powers got together to violently destroy things.

Effortlessly, the girl picked up the bag and swung it over her shoulder. It was pretty heavy from all of the metal she had found -somebody had decided to throw away a dumbbell for some reason. In Suk counted herself as being extremely lucky that day- but it was nothing to be sweating about. Now where else? she wondered as she looked around. Huh?

There was a sharp tug on her hair as the metal dragonfly there started to fly away on its own. Hurriedly, the girl untangled her hair from it, before she became partially bald. The creature was just like a child so she knew that it would have struggled until it got its way. Guessing that something had interested it, she decided just to let it go and observe whatever it was. At least, that was how she felt until she saw that the target of its attention was a girl with a light blue sweater.

Oh! I hope it's not going to bother her! That girl didn't look like an angry one so In Suk thought that maybe she wouldn't mind. Frowning a little bit, she tried to one handedly fix her hair, which had originally been tied up in a complex but neat web of braids. Now it was messed up on the left side of her head and all she could do was tuck the strands of hair behind her ear. Oh well, no big deal.

As she tried to find a nearby source to scavenge from, however she couldn't help but look back over to where the dragonfly had gone, just in case. Eventually, worry got the better of her and she began to approach the girl that her creation was now flying around.

Closing her eyes for a second, she smelt a sweet essence of flowers, though she wasn't sure what the source of it was. Opening her eyes, she cautiously looked around for a flower shop, or even a flower still in bloom, but there was nothing. Thinking on it, she guessed that the scent had traveled from it's original spot over a course of time. Interesting. Sighing briefly, she put her hands back to her sides and reequipped her gloves. Carefully looking down at her newly colored sweater, she smiled lightly, as she was again thankful for her powers.

Biting her lip softly, she smelt around her again, but it seemed that the scent of flowers was gone. She was about to continue to walk when she heard a strange noise coming from her right side. Curious of the sound, she looked up a bit higher to see something, in the sky above her, but what it was, she could figure out.

Maybe it was someone's pet? Because of their powers? She couldn't be sure of anything at this point, so all she did was look at it, to make sure that it didn't get any closer. It seemed be staying in the same spot, but she was not confident that it would stay that way. Interested, she reached her hand upwards to see if it was low enough for her to reach. Just as she thought, she was not tall enough to reach the strange thing.

As she looked at it more closely, it seemed that it was mimicking a type of insect, or was at least trying to look like it , even though it was obvious it wasn't. Maybe the person who was controlling this thing would come around to claim it? She hoped so, because the last thing she wanted to hear was that it didn't have an owner and was just here to attack her. Looking to where the thing originally came from, she saw someone that was coming towards her.

Scared of there being more then one person, she pretended to look at a flyer for 'Free Cakes on Tuesdays!' very in depth.

Maybe it was the hair? In Suk thought, trying to figure out what her dragonfly had been captivated by. That girl in the blue sweater had some of the prettiest hair that In Suk had ever seen -and it was white, too! Even though that color seemed to be only uncommon on the island, she was still fascinated by people who had it. It made her feel a little plain with her normal black hair. My eye color is Asian, my hair color is Asian, my looks are completely, utterly Asian. The thought was like a recurring joke for her and she giggled quietly to herself. Really, she was perfectly happy with her looks. Black went with everything, after all.

Oooh but so does white, huh? Getting closer, In Suk could see that the waviness of that girl's hair gave it naturally shiny highlights. She stopped and stared at it for a moment, before self consciously studying the loose lock of her own black hair. It looked a little dull in her opinion but it was hard to tell when it was only a few strands. Maybe mine looks better from a distance. Uh yeah! With a childish frown, she absentmindedly combed the hair with her fingers, really bothered by the idea that maybe her hair wasn't nice. Being a sign of her womanhood, it had to be nice.

After a while had passed, she realized that she had been staring off into space. Hopefully, that other girl hadn't been paying attention to it -it seemed like she was reading a flyer- because otherwise, she would have seen In Suk giving her a slightly opened mouthed, dreamy stare. How embarrassing would that be?

She made a few one handed signals to the dragonfly. "Okay, okay, come back here. You're supposed to be my look out for suspicious people -not people that you just think are pretty." Reaching up above her, she tried to snatch it out of the air, but the little creature darted around her fingers.

Pouting, she signed, "You always do this! Come on, we need to find some more parts!" Today, she wasn't just looking for scrap to work with; she was also looking for anything that she might be able to sell for a bit of money. There was this really cute gourmet candy store that she had found but everything blew her budget sky high. As much as she really loved making things, she liked doing normal things for herself sometimes, too.

The dragonfly, in her perspective, flew in a taunting pattern before landing squarely on the head of the white haired girl.

Keeping her focus on the bland flyer, she continued to lock her eyes only in that place. She then heard someone close to her, but Fontaine was to afraid to see who or what it was. Would it be a gang of people? No, there were only footsteps for one. Was it a huge, tall, muscular persom that was going to beat her up for looking at the flyer for too long and ignoring them? No, the steps seemed lighter, which meant that she was lost likely wrong about it. Puzzled, she thought for a moment as to whether she should look over at whatever was beside her, or if it was best just to ignore it until it talked.

Curious, she breathed in heavily before making the choice to take a quick glance at whatever was there. Slowly moving her head to the right, she quickly saw a girl, staring at her. Because of this, she immediently turned her head back to the flyer, with a huge redness closing in on her face. Who was that person? Was that the owner of the weird flying thing? Was that a secret admirer? She had so many questions in her head, but she didn't know how to answer any of them. She was a bit relieved though, as at least it was a girl and not what she had guessed ealier.

She decided to stick with her plan, and to wait for the girl to talk to her, or for the flying thing and her to be gone. She looked over to see the girl, moving her hands all about, as if she was trying to commuicate with the insect without talking to it. Sign language??

As she continued to watch, just out of the corner of her eye, she became more and more interested in this girl and the insect, looking at everything she said, even though she didn't know sign language. Thinking about turning around and greeting her, she then started to hear the noise of the flying thing closer to her, until it showed like it was above her. Scared, she was as still as she has ever been, because even though she was interested in it, she had no idea that the thing and had now landed on her head could do.

Oh! That frustrating thing really was so disobedient at times. Pouting a little at it as it buried itself into locks of white hair, In Suk signed mournfully, "You know, I'm pretty much your mother. You should listen to me sometimes!" It ignored her, as it often did whenever it was utterly charmed by something or somebody, and she took that as an excuse to get closer to this girl who had attracted its attention. With the distance between them thus decreased, she couldn't help but feel just a bit out of her element because now she could see that in reality, there was no way that she couldn't envy that kind of hair.

Which was why, In Suk reasoned to herself, she had to get that dragonfly out. Right now. A few steps away from the other girl, she tilted her head to the side, blinking as she pointed a finger vaguely upwards as an indication of her motives. She still wasn't sure how to do greetings to people on the island -was there a set custom, anyways? Maybe not- but she was pretty sure that it was okay to let it slip this time because there was fear all over this white-haired girl's face. In Suk didn't think she had ever seen a person stand that still before. It was a little odd.

Even though she was shorter than the other girl, the difference in height wasn't so great that In Suk couldn't just grab the dragonfly and try and dig it out. But the thing held on persistently as she tried to gently pull it away, and she really was afraid to mess up this girl's head by tugging any harder. You don't just mess with somebody else's hair.

She relented for a moment, pulling a step away from the white-haired girl. Her creation shifted itself slightly but otherwise stayed where it was. "All right, what's caught your attention this time?" she signed at it, neither expecting nor receiving a response. "You're not going to do this to everybody we meet, are you? There were so many people on Manta Carlos with so many interesting abilities -it would be completely impossible to keep up with all of that!

Sighing, In Suk took out her phone, opening a translation app and typing something in before opening her notepad. Having copy pasted the text, she then showed it to the girl. It wasn't very good English at all but it was somewhat comprehensible.

"If any thing before, are you able to do it again? Sorry."

Looking blankly at the girl, she stood there motionless. She still had no idea what this thing that was still on he head was. She wasn't going to try to rip it off or shake it, as it seemed that it had found a new home in her white locks of hair. What was it's deal? Did it have some type of obsession with the color? She had no idea, and it wasn't like she could just ask it, as she was pretty sure that the thing didn't understand English. As she gazed at the girl, it seemed that sh was again trying to talk to the thing on her head with sign language, but of course, it didn't seem to work at all. Sighing as lightly as possible, she began to blush a bit as the girl that she had been almost staring at this whole time was approaching her. Was she going to try to get it off? Or burn her hair off with fire or some other magic? The thought made her worry more then she should have been.

As the girl started to touch her hair, most likely in hopes of trying to free the weird thing in her hair, she couldn't help but blush and stare. Why was this girl going out of her way to help her? Was the thing in her hair that important to her? She thought it was a weird behavior, but she at the same time wanted to know more about it. This girl seemed interesting, and weird, like her in a way, though she still knew nothing about the girl that had slowly decided to step back a bit from her. As she did this, but blush decreased and she let herself sigh lightly as she calmed herself down a bit.

The girl then got out her phone, and looked at it for a few seconds before turning it around so that Fontaine could look at it. As she looked at the words that she had wrote, she was quite puzzled, as what she had said didn't exactly make sense to her, but at the same time she understood it. Looking up at her head, she think that she finally understood as to what the girl wanted her to do. Maybe if she changed her hair color, the thing in her head would leave her alone. Being a bit embarrassed of showing her powers, she nodded slowly and sighed as she let her bare left hand touch the blue bench which caused her hair to turn into that color. Immediately after, she realized that maybe that color was a bit too flashy, which gave her the idea of touching the girls black hair instead. Walking over to her, she reached her head up and lightly touched her black hair, causing hers to be the same color. Smiling a bit, she reequipped her glove and lowered her hand as she waited for something to happen.
