Milk nodded, content to leave it at that. She didn't realize how strange she sounded most of the time.

"I have known Bear for a while now, yes. He is a good partner, eager to improve." She answered stepping forward in line. Almost to the front now! "We have been talking about me for a while. What about you, you said you were a cook?"

He perked up a bit. "Oh, yes! It's really more of a hobby but I put so much time and love to it that it's almost become its own job. I'm more of a baker than an actual cook but that's not to say that I don't do a lot of the latter. I'm actually an accountant by trade. Makes more money and all, to support the cooking."

"I work at the soup kitchen sometimes, too," Bedivere continued. "It's nice to help out and everybody does deserve to have a good meal now and then."

The woman nodded, stepping forward. "That is true. I believe that everybody should get a chance to have food." She began to look through the case of meats, non-chlantly. She knew what she was going to buy, but it didn't hurt to look.

"What is the difference between a baker and a cook? Do they both not do the same thing?"

"Well, a baker specializes in baked goods," Bedivere explained patiently. "It's like a branch off of the greater scheme of culinary arts. If you're a cook, you're normally dealing in with the things that don't go into an oven and are mostly made of starch."

"There's more measuring and science that goes into baking, too." Not that it was any more prestigious or such because of that. If the end result wasn't any good, then no matter who you were or what you made, it's a straight up failure. "In cooking, it's more of guessing as you go. But if you mess up a recipe for a cake, for instance, well. It's hard to salvage after it's gone in to bake."
