Milk stared blankly at Bedivere. Was he calling her weak? Did he think she couldn't hold a simple cart? Milks normally expressionless face turned to a frown.

"Are you assuming I am weak?" She asked, her chocolate eyes staring directly into Bedi own orbs. A hint of anger was perceptible in her voice as well.

"I do not require assistance. My diet is balanced."

He turned a bit red in the face but otherwise, gave a sigh as if this was something that he dealt with on a regular basis. Which may have been the truth depending on interpretation, really.

"That's completely missing the point," Bedivere said, trying to ignore how off step comments like that made him feel. "No matter how strong you are, it's only proper that I carry your things for you. In any case, if your diet doesn't even fill out half of the food pyramid! That can't possibly be good for your health!"

Milk continued to frown, and allowed Bedi to take her basket. After he head it, she simply picked him up and continued on her way through the store.

"I eat other things. The school does not let me have multiple onions. I buy them for myself. Do not assume things." She chastised, her grip too strong for Bedivere to escape.

He made a confused sound as the woman suddenly lifted him up. For some reason, Bedivere really felt unusually threatened despite that no violence was involved at all. Attempting to wiggle out did something at all so Bedivere simply fell very still and stared at the ceiling.

"So then," he said after a brief awkward pause. "What other sorts of things do you like to eat?"

Milk continued to carry him around, looking for another gallon of Chocolate Milk.

"I enjoy steak, and other such meats. It is important to eat a lot of protein for my line of work." She droned on in her monotone, placing the milk in one of the baskets Bedivere was holding.

"Meat is always a good thing," Bedivere said brightly. "If you don't mind me asking, what exactly do you do? It does seem like with your strength you would need a lot of protein so it's good that you already know that." Lots of women liked to go vegetarian, which was all well and good but as a cook, Bedivere thought it was so strange to limit yourself.

"You should take the other brand of the milk, by the way," he said as the woman took dropped a carton into the basket. "This one has lots of hormones in it."

"I am the assistant physical education teacher at Starlight Academy." She said, glancing at a clock on the wall as she carried Bedivere around. There was a surprisingly low amount of strange glances at the pair, this was Manta Carlos after all.

The fighter paused, picking up the carton she dropped in. "...What difference does that make?" She asked, curious.

"Well, some companies like to give hormones to their cows so that they'll produce more milk," Bedivere explained, feeling unnaturally patient. He was talking about food and being that much in his element was a comfort. "If young children drink too much of this sort of milk, it tends to make them a bit taller and maybe even stronger than normal. But it's not a healthy sort of growth at all and sometimes there are complications later on from chemicals."

He wanted to make sure that she understood the unhealthy part of it, despite the things that seemed like benefits. It was important!

Milk nodded, staring at the carton. She put the two gallons back, and started looking for a better replacement.

"I am not a child though." She noted while she looked for another gallon of Milk that was a reasonable price. "Why does it matter to me?"

"Well, I mean, the chemicals can still build up in your body," Bedivere said from the woman's shoulder. "You might not be a kid anymore but there's just no helping that. The growth hormone itself might not make you any taller or stronger anymore but these sorts of cows also tend to get a few diseases here and there. When it gets into the milk, that's just awful."
