To that, Adelene agreed a hundred percent. It was nice to hang out with a friend without having to think of gender... Not that she ever thought about gender though. Leon was her first friend in years, after all. And he made her experience so many first times for things normal people do, like hang out, laugh, relax, etc. Oh, also coming over to someone else's house.

She smiled and shrugged, before eating one more cream puff and this time, she made sure not to mess up. "Mmf this is delicious," she muttered after swallowing.

Well... there came an awkward silence next. To Adelene, at least, it was awkward. Thinking she ran out of things to talk about. She covered her being uncomfortable by looking around again, taking note of what the kitchen looked like, before turning back to Leon once more. She chuckled sheepishly.

"I'm not... taking too long being here, am I? You were working, right?"

Leon couldn't help but laugh at how carefully Adelene was being at this point. He took a drink to help stop himself from laughing. Leon started to eat another orange slice when Adelene let out her own little chuckle. Leon looked up and tilted his head a bit.

"Naa. If Mom really needed me right now she'd open that door and tell me to come help whether we were done or not. She just didn't want me running all over town for no reason again doing who knows what with whatever girl."

Leon spoke more nonchalantly and tried to shrug it off. He didn't care much to what his parents thought about how he acted. He was more concerned that Adelene thought she was bothering him. If eyes could twinkle, Leon's would be doing so right now as an idea came into his head.

"Say if you're so worried about me working, want to help out? It would be fun and you could learn and taste some new things! Sound good to you?"

Leon's smile couldn't get any wider at the idea. It just came out of the blue, and he could also do things with her that would still be fun. Mostly because while Leon liked cooking, he didn't like baking. Different things to him.

Adelene perked up at the suggestion and... That didn't sound so bad. She nodded a little, but her smile was a little hesitant. "Is that really okay? I'd love to try but... I'm pretty sure weapons and food aren't treated the same way." She laughed sheepishly, lightly scratching her cheek with a finger. "I mean... you know, since I work with weapons, even Blades and Potions sell weapons, I'm not sure if I'm careful enough to try working with food."

Of course, it wasn't like she can't. She definitely can. But this was Leon's family's shop, she didn't want to mess anything up if Leon wants her to help out.

His eyes were wide and shimmering though. As if he was excited at the idea of her helping. How can she say no to that kind of face?

"Uh... how can I help, exactly..?"

"Of course! There is more to this then cooking ya know. One reason I'm in such great shape is all the heavy lifting I do sometimes. Don't worry, I did most of that this morning. There's still dishes to be done, checking cooking supplies, making a list of what to shop for later, and to check the delivery list. Though the last two Mom deals with herself. She prides herself in the connection she has with her customers."

Leon had gotten up from his chair while talking to Adelene and had walked over to a nearby door next to the Garage. Opening it inside were different cooking clothing like gloves, boots, and aprons. There was only a few of each sitting inside so Leon had to improvise an apron for Adelene. Both he and his parents were taller, his dad very much so, so he took one of his spare aprons and tied the collar a little to make it shorter and so Adelene wouldn't trip over it. Closing the door, Leon turns around and walks to Adelene with the apron in hand while the smile continued to stay on his face.

"Hope this fits. Best I could do for now. Say! I should see if Mom can get an apron just for you made! So for now I figured you could do the dishes while I double check all the supplies used this morning. That way you won't get confused as to where things on the list are. Sound good?"

Leon gave Adelene a wink as he said 'Sound good?' It was meant more as a trust symbol then anything. Leon liked to be simple sometimes and figured this was the simplest way to go about things. It always was easier that way anyway.

"I'll come join you if I finish the list and we can both play in the water. Sounds better then going to the beach I'd say, would ya agree?"

Adelene watched curiously when he got up to get the aprons. She unconsciously pouted when he knotted the part for the neck, because it just made her realize how short she was, though she didn't complain.

She took the apron and wore it. She was more than happy she could help out, and she smiled up at Leon when the apron fit her just right. But her eyes widened when he said they might make another apron for her, and she shook her head sheepishly. "Oh no, it's okay, no need! I have an apron back home, I can bring it next time I help out." She thought it would be a waste to get her another apron, she didn't even live here.

She chuckled. "Leon, no playing in the water, seriously. If we get into some water accident, I won't have any change of clothes." She reached up and patted him on the head, before giving him a thumbs up. " 'Sides, I think I can handle the dirty dishes on my own."

Leon was confused as to why she didn't want one. Well he understood why, but was just confused as to how much she said no to the idea. Then Leon got another idea that made more sense, to him at least.

"Hmm...How about this then. If we get you a apron that fits, it'll be one you can wear here and be able to use if you forget yours at home. Or if you come for a visit and want to help out. That way you don't always have to bring it over all the time! Complete with your name sown into it as well, like the rest of ours. That's my spare apron you're using by the way. Glad I got it to fit right too. Looking good!"

Leon gave Adelene a thumbs up after she put the apron on. It look snug and like it fit right naturally. At the mention of no playing in the water Leon made a small fake pouting noise and sulked his shoulders and let his arms hang before chuckling. Standing back up he simply smiles and giving her his own thumbs up.

"Alright then. Shouldn't be too many. Just some pans and mixing bowls. Be careful with the bowls, they are glass. Wouldn't want you to cut yourself if they accidentally break. Might be some cutting knives in there. Mostly dull, but never can be too careful. Soap is under the sink, gloves as well. Uhh...Well anything you need to was dishes should be under the sink. Unless we forgot to go shopping again. Small stuff goes in the dish washer to the right of the sink, and the bigger stuff pike trays and bowls can be left on the towels on the counter to dry. A couple of racks can be pulled down from the cabinets to place the trays on to dry. I think that's everything you need to know. Gunna do my list now so I can get it done and to Mom before it gets too late and she can do her order."

While talking Leon had walked over to the counter and began pulling open and closing drawers looking for something. A small "A ha!" as he found a pencil and notepad. Going into auto pilot, Leon began looking through various cabinets, lazy susanss, drawers, and at one point had gone into another closet while writing down what he found missing, what needed to be restocked and ordered, and generally going about his business.

"Are you allowed to go outside today though? I mean later."

Adelene had no problem washing the dishes; she actually begun right after Leon told her where the gloves and the soap were. She moved pretty quickly, too, though she made sure to keep the glass bowls close to the sink to keep them from breaking in case her hands slipped.

The shop was obviously busy, and Adelene understood he was working to help his parents out, but she wondered if it would be okay to go hang out somewhere later. He did mention something along the lines of Robin not wanting him to leave today, so Adelene just sighed to herself, already letting go of whatever hope she had of them going somewhere else, where no one else can make either of them feel uncomfortable or awkward.

"Hmm? If I get the order done I'm sure I can head out. No reason to keep me here. Sides Mom would make an exception since I got a friend over."

Leon continued to take count of everything while making sure it was right. He had to scratch his head a few times at some things that were missing but shrugged otherwise. Means they used a lot he figured. Leon had looked over his shoulder a few times to watch how Adelene was doing and smiled after seeing he didn't need to help out.

After a good half hour Leon had finished taking stock of everything, walking into a nearby room and placing the notepad with the entire order on a desk before walking out and letting out a sigh. He really hated taking stock but knew it had to be done.

"Now that that's done, what did you have in mind to go do? Sure I can talk Mom into letting me head out now. Hadn't heard from her so I'm assuming that things weren't busy. Morning and midday are our busiest times. Right now things tend to slow down baking wise. Dad picks up more work as the day goes on, but he has his own team for that."

A few minutes after Leon finished, Adelene was done with her work as well. She dried her hands up and fixed the things she used including the apron. She was more than glad to know that they could head out, and that was obvious with the way her pupils dilated at the news. Although that brightness on her face disappeared as her brows furrowed and thought, and she hummed as she tried to think of what they could do outside (aside from escaping people's attention).

"We already ate here and those were some really good stuff, you know. So I don't think eating again is so exciting. I was originally planning to drag you to this café in the city, but I don't think we need to go there anymore because your shop is more awesome." She shook her head, chuckling. "Hey, ever tried the amusement park?"

"Amusement park?"

Leon had to admit out of all the times he had been dragged out, taken people places, and jogged around he had not once been near or gone to the amusement park. He was sure his parents took him when he was little, but on his own he never went. It just felt weird going there by himself.

"Not since I was a kid to be honest. After how you compared everything though it does sound fun. Long as we can go on the roller coaster I'm game. Sounds pretty fun! I can cover tickets if you are pressed for cash right now, I don't mind."

Leon had a big smile on his face. He loved the idea the more he thought about it. He was ready to go right now, but first he had to check in with someone. If this didn't go over, well, he wasn't leaving he knew that. Walking over to the door that led out to the store, Leon poked his head out and was face level with his mother. All he got was a simple nod and he slowly shut the door and just stared. He starred at the door for a good couple minutes before finally sighing and turning back to Adelene while scratching the back of his head.

"God damn it Mom. Well I can go just...God damn it Mom."
