May You Smile Again Today [Bolt]

Their pace seemed to be gradually slowing down as they got closer to their first ride. Because Adelene saw the queue, and was suddenly having second thoughts. She wanted to go for this ride. Badly. So even though the line just managed to make her frown, she still joined the people to wait for their turn, and was still holding Leon's wrist.

"I hope we don't have to wait too long," she mumbled, sighing. She watched as the ship swayed in a giant arc in its place, following it with her eyes as it went from left to right, seeing how the people already in it were having fun.

She turned to Leon, tilting her head a little. "No, I... This is my first time," she said, but she paused and tried to think about it again. Maybe it wasn't her first time, maybe she's been to a place like this before when she was still a small kid, but she may never know for sure, because she never got her memories of being a small girl back.

She chuckled when Leon mentioned the prizes. She was both pleased and embarrassed. "Really? A fort? Isn't that too much?" she asked, giggling a bit.

She hadn't noticed the girls eyeing them. Maybe in a few moments she would, but as of the moment, her attention was focused on the pirate ship ride and Leon.

"Maybe a few more minutes. Gunna be real exciting to see your first time on there."

Leon had blocked out the other girls though he was still very, very, very much aware of them. He just decided to pay them no mind. He was here with Adelene, not them so that was his main focus. Besides it was fun not having to lug around everything on his own. He looked at the knight doll in Adelene's arms and smiled. It was adorable how close she was keeping that to her.

They reached the front of the line where the attendant pointed at where they could leave any belongings too big for the ride, namely the model revolver and the knight doll. Leon took off his goggles and wrapped them around the knight for safe keeping, he'd know his handiwork anywhere if someone decided to steal it. Leon wrapped his around around Adelene's as they were point to their seats.

Leon sat down and buckled himself in, looking towards Adelene "I can help if you need a hand. Otherwise let's just sit back and enjoy the ride! This'll be fun just you wait."

Leon noticed the two girls sit down behind him and Adelene, a few hushed whispers over who Adelene was. Why she was with their Leon. Leon didn't hear any of it because he was simply tuning it out.

Adelene wasn't all that confident about leaving their prizes in the counter, but Leon seemed fine with the so she didn't say anything against it. The wait was worth it, and excitement and nervousness quickly took over her as they got to their seats and buckled up. "It's alright, I can handle this, " she told Leon then as she settled down.

Although she wasn't settled for king. She was clearly not dead, and the quiet whispering behind her and Leon was audible enough to disturb them. She turned to the girls causing the noise and stared at them long enough to deliver a death threat. "I can hear you, you know." She turned back in front of her and crossed her arms. She didn't look angry, but it seemed that they just ruined her mood. "Leon, who are those people?" she muttered, side glancing at him.

Crap. He hoped this wouldn't have happened. Well too late now he supposed. Might as well deal with it now and get it over with before anything big happened. The ride began to stir and making noises, preparing to go off at any moment.

"They're, well, girls I've been nice to. And high on the popularity chain. Remember when I mentioned about that stuff? Well....I'll explain after the ride," Leon's voice rose loud enough for the two girls to hear him, "And you two need to lay off. She's my friend and that's all there is to it alright?"

Leon's voice, combined with the death glare from Adelene, caused the two to stop whispering for the time being. Leon hoped that's all it was for now as the ship began to climb backwards into the air. The ride was beginning and all Leon could do now was look at Adelene and grin.

"You ready? Cause it's about to- YYYYYYYYYEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

With the ship rocking forward Leon had to start screaming in joy before even finishing his question to Adelene. He held onto the harness that had came down over them as the ride started and was laughing and screaming his head off with the rest of the riders.

Adelene was murmuring things under her breath, exasperated, but she decided to let the matter go. She held onto the hard metal that kept her in her seat, just in time as the giant boat began to swing. She yelped, her heart skipping a beat as she felt like she was being pulled away from the surface of her seat. The boat swung higher and higher. Leon was screaming beside her.

Whatthehellwhatthehellwhatthehellwhatthehellwhatthehell!!

Adelene didn't even realize that she, too, was beginning to scream on top of her lungs. She had no fear of heights, but the sensation of free fall every time their side of the boat swings from top to bottom caused so much adrenaline to rush through her veins. Her left hand was still gripping on the harness. Her right hand was holding onto Leon.

But the ride eventually slowed down, and stopped. And Addy's hair was such a mess because of the wind, but it only took some handcombing to fix them while she was trying to snap herself out of the experience. Her heart was racing, and she couldn't move because she knew her knees were too shaky and probably too weak to let her go anywhere.

"That was incredible," she said, huffing still, while trying to stand up and get off the giant boat. For safety purposes, she was unconsciously holding tight to Leon's arm.

Leon hadn't noticed Adelene gripping him so hard till the ride stopped and passengers were being let off. Leon waited till the two girls walked off before looking at Adelene with a grin on his face. Man that was fun and he could tell it was a great first time for her as well.

"I get told that a lot ya know," a small wink while he made the joke. It was too funny to pass up saying something like that, not really sure if it would go over Adelene's head or not.

It was then Leon noticed Adelene holding on his arm rather tight. Guess she needed to get used to rides more. He didn't mind though. It made him feel better knowing that he was a sort of security blanket. It made him smile bigger.

Walking to pick up their prizes, Leon decided to pull a small joke on Adelene. Since she was holding his arm, he decided to pull her a little closer. It was mostly to show off to the other two girls and make them back away. It was his way of saying "He was her's for now." A jealous aura was in the air as they walked away which caused Leon to sigh in relief.

"Sounded like you had a blast. This was only the icing on the cake too, just wait till we start on the other rides! But first do you need a moment to catch your breath? Some people love rides, but aren't exactly great after getting off them. Though you have my arm to keep you steady so I think you'll be fine. I'll catch you and carry you around if I have to."

The ride already stopped but Adelene could still feel the sway, even as all the customers already got off. She didn't remove her grip from Leon. Her knees were wobbly and she wasn't sure she'd still be able to stand on her own ten minutes from now.

She thought she could handle it but maybe she was wrong.

"I feel faint..." It came out as silently as a breath. She tugged on Leon's arm gently, not really confident with her legs' strength. "I do need to catch my breath... I think. Can we look for a bench?"

Leon nodded at her request. And then got another one of his ideas. As she tugged on his sleeve Leon then grabbed her arm, his arms going under her legs and lifted her up bridal style, the stuff knight and model revolver being given to him. She seemed to not be already used to rides so she needed a breather. Well she had a mobile bench, and he already had spotted one they could rest for a moment. At the bench Leon sat her down and took a seat himself.

"If you need me to get anything let me know. Or I can carry you around again. Whichever you want."

Leon smiled, but was worried about how she was doing. If just that small ride did that, she may not be up to a roller coaster. Even Leon didn't take well to it all the time, but he could enjoy it without feeling faint.

"Wha-- WHOA HEY--!" Petite arms immediately clung around Leon's neck. Adelene wasn't used to being carried like this, which made it a bit scary on her part. "Leon I'm okay, you don't have to do this really..."

But they were on a bench even before she could stop complaining. It was slightly disturbing, not that she was offended by it or anything, but she immediately put her knees together and put her hands on them as a defensive posture after feeling uncomfortably vulnerable.

"Thanks... But no need to carry me around again. I'll be fine later." She smiled at him for reassurance. "I'm okay. What about you?"
