Hey there! Those of you in the cbox last night might remember the peeking guest, and that was me. I figured I'd wait until the morning, since morning site activity is super important to me, and 'lo and behold, the site was pretty dang active at 7AM.

I'm in my 20s, live in America, and spend way too much time RPing. I'm vaguely wary of that super dangerous 'time spent on the site' counter, because mine is going to end up too dang high.

I'm big on video games, and read a little bit of a few manga, but most of my time is spent either gaming or RPing. I'm on HabitRPG if anyone is over there - great little productivity tool.

RP wise I've been RPing for more than a decade, although my experience varies. I started out on self hosted stuff that was super structured (one character only, travel times, etc), and later moved onto fairly structured ones (activity checks, face claim lists, one-account-per-character deals). Starlight is a pretty big departure for me, as I've never been on a site that was quite so sandbox. It's actually pretty daunting for me - I'm not quite sure what to make, or what needs to be made, or anything like that.

Hi, welcome to SA! (Again!) Glad to see that you're official now. :)

You.. Pretty much described me in that second paragraph. Trust me, all of us are way too addicted to this site. Just check my time online. Or Poptart's. Better yet, check Poptart's average posts per day. It's terrifying and wonderful.

For quite a few people, I think, myself included, SA was our first RP ever. Freedom is a weird, weird thing.

But I think you'll fit in just fine! Promise! If you need anything, feel free to PM me or another mod. Or drop by the chat box, ahaha. There's that too.

Considering your massive list of character stats, I'd say we're going to get along just fine.

Honestly, the hardest part is going to be coming up with a character concept. Seems easier to come up with something when you have limits - wide open is so much harder.

I know you've probably already gotten the jist of this but...Brace yourself, my standard welcome speech is coming: If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to shoot me--or any of the other staff--a PM, and don't hesitate to ask in the cbox! Our members are super friendly and knowledgeable and there's usually someone online to help, although we are slower on the weekends!

It's great to have you on board! Don't be too intimidated by the flexibility--we do a lot of open-ended plots and members are always scheming things, so there's a little bit of structure if you're craving it :)
