I'll have a bruise the size of your head. the boy said, as he applied the antiseptic tot he wound, hissing lightly as he medication stung. He was used to it by now though, so he just kept going, using what gauze he didn't need to cover the wound to wipe the grim from his face, feeling a bit better after he did that. He massaged his chest again as he gave the gauze to Warrior, the creature pressing it silently to his forehead. Otherwise, it is fine. My lungs just had a shock, it has happened before. He remembered the feeling now, after he had actually calmed down enough to think about it. Once he had fallen so hard on his back while on training that all the air was literary kicked out of his lungs, and for the rest of the day, he wasn't able to take even one proper breath. The teacher had explained to him that that was normal in situations like this and that it shouldn't last that long, which it didn't and...

It was a distant memory, from a time was still going to his trainings regularly. A year before that camping trip that he had summoned Spirit, if he remembered correctly...

He suddenly couldn't think right, the thoughts getting all jumbled up in his head, and for a moment, he couldn't tell left from right and up from down.

Doc... he chocked, before dropping lifelessly into Warrior's hands a second later.

I have no medical knowledge. o.o Don't kill me xD

I don't even know what this is right now in this post. Oh well.

Wong Ha Jung

Cantonese was a very good language to curse in. In some situations, even a simple Hello, how are you? could sound like one of the rudest, most aggressive profanities on the face of the earth. Which was why Wong Ha Jung had broken an old habit of mumbling to himself in it all the way back when he had arrived in the States for the first time. There were far fewer misunderstandings that way. Everything considered, however, he still wasn't a saint. Which was why right then, it was a very good thing that nobody within hearing distance could understand the some of the words that he was half sputtering out. And at least it was a tonal language...

I should have known, I should have known. The man could have sworn that he had seen William's collapse coming just seconds before it had actually occurred. He cursed his own idiocy a few more times in his head.

Frantically, Wong Ha Jung checked William first for a pulse before pulling aside the boy's shirt to get a look at his injuries. The counselor sucked in a breath and just stared for a moment. The fight must have been going on longer than he had thought, because there were already about a dozen bruises starting to show up on the boy's torso. The one that must have been giving him the most issue, though, probably was much, much more recent because the man couldn't see exactly where it was yet.

His hands trembled a little and he fisted them by his sides because he didn't want to see them shaking. He was angry at quite a few people at that point, himself included. But later. He'd deal with that stuff later. For the time, the thought that coming back to him was Now what? No medical training. My God, why don't I have any medical training? Not even something as simple as basic first aid.

"Let's get him out of the sun," the counselor said to the spirits, feeling quite panicked as he gathered up the contents of the first aid kit again. It was all kind of useless now but... "Here -just, under that tree over there, please." Wong Ha Jung started in the direction that he meant, glancing about anxiously for the two spirits to follow. Not being an especially strong man, he probably couldn't have moved William on his own like he wanted to. So if the spirit with the white hair didn't bring the boy, then they were kind of stuck.

Placing one hand under William's head and shoulders and putting the other under the bent of his knees, Warrior slowly picked up the now fainted boy, carrying him with ease to where the shade the teacher had pointed to. The boy felt light in his arms, nothing more than a rag doll of flesh and bone, with barely any life in him, his chest rising and falling sporadically, and for a first time, Warrior truly feared for William's life. His grab on William's body tightened, and he suddenly felt ready to tear all those punks who had dared hurt his boy to pieces.

Calm down. Spirit said quietly as he walked slowly alongside him so he could be close to William as well. I can practically smell the murder on you. the wolf explained as the silver haired creature sent him a glaring look. He will not die. His skull is ticker than that. he added, as the other spirit put the boy down, putting immediately his huge body between him and the hard ground. He is simply tired. He has been fighting for almost an hour. nuzzling at the boy's hair, Spirit laid his own head down. And honestly speaking, so am I. he admitted, keeping only his left eye opened. Keep guard? he asked, and Warrior nodded. Always.

And with that, both the wolf and the boy were now asleep.

Wong Ha Jung

Because he was a terribly useless person, Wong Ha Jung simply sat next to the unconscious boy and clasped his hands together tightly. William was clearly breathing, at least, but it wasn't a steady action in the least. He needs help, the counselor thought. Actual help, not just some silly man fumbling around with things that he didn't even understand very well, just as likely to hurt as he was to help.

The man sighed sharply, glancing at the white haired spirit who was standing watch before looking away. "I really should take him to a doctor," he said tiredly, absently brushing at a thin streak of dried blood on the boy's face. "It's unethical not to. I know he dislikes them but-" He shook his head. "I'm not a medic."

The counselor really hated just watching, too, but that was part of human psychology, wasn't it? Always having to feel like something had to be done. Well, fine. The man could admit to having fallen into that trap. It bothered him.

He shivered.

Out of habit, Wong Ha Jung raked a hand through his hair and held it there for a moment. He blinked a little at the patches of black that had appeared but couldn't be bothered to feel surprised, only more upset at himself. He let his hands drop to the grass. It didn't hurt too much yet but it might given a little more time. Calming down would be a good option.

I am calm, the counselor told himself. He told himself it a few more times because his brain was getting the message just fine. The rest of him, not so much.

Well, whatever.

He turned his attention back to the still awake spirit. "You know William far better than I do. What now?" His voice was soft.

It was selfish of him, so selfish of him, to not be dragging the boy off to the infirmary right then. Because William's opinion did matter to Wong Ha Jung. Maybe it shouldn't have so much. At that point, it was the primary reason why the counselor hadn't immediately taken what seemed to be obviously the sensible option. It was his job to make sure that students were safe. And... he wasn't doing it.

We wait for him to wake up. Warrior said as he sat on the ground, half turned towards Wong, half towards school from where the potential threat might come, for even after a year of being in the human world, he still didn't have a need to sleep like Spirit, William, and the rest of the world did. It seemed to him, though, that he was getting more and more tired after each fight lately, so maybe, soon...

For now though, he was keeping guard, while talking with William's therapist. And when he wakes up, Spirit will yell at him. Warrior said shaking his head affectionately. For even though he seems calm, he has actually gone to sleep so he wouldn't fret. he said, looking at the giant wolf and the boy buried in his long fur. And then William usually yells back. If he doesn't, though, then there will be a reason to be worried. he said, frowning, as his own fear for the boy's life suddenly came back. He pushed it aside though, repeating Spirit's words to himself and taking a deep breath. And if you wish for the boy to trust you ever again, you will not even think about taking him to the doctor's now.

Sorry, lame post is post.

Wong Ha Jung

Ah... The selfish option, then. "All right, no doctors," Wong Ha Jung said quietly. Really, he thought that he ought to be fired. It did feel kind of like neglect in a way, even if it was what William preferred.

I'm sorry, I know I'm useless seemed like something he should be saying. He just didn't want to. It should have been clear enough from his not being able to do anything. But there was still this horrible, desperate urge to fall out all over himself in apology anyways. Which still also wouldn't accomplish anything. I just want people to be safe and happy...

"I'm glad that he has at least two people he can count on," the counselor said instead, trailing off a little in thought. A few awkward moments passed before the Wong Ha Jung continued hesitantly, "Administration probably needs to know." Would it even make a difference, though? The fact that he was doubting it then just was an indication of what his mental state was at that time.

He felt a little sick, and it had nothing to do with panic attacks or Black Winter. "But I suppose I've always been good at forgetting things, too." It was true, he was. That was why he never thought too hard about anything before college anymore. Or anything before graduate school, actually. Why am I even offering this?

I should be fired. I should really be fired.

The Administration does know. Warrior said, looking at Wong with a sharp look in his silver eyes, the effect being that of a two small blades looking ferally at the world from his long, thing face, the lower half of it still hidden behind the black mask. However, the boy is too stubborn for his own good and has created more than enough trouble before hand. Thus, everybody simply assumes that it is his fault now without even asking. Behind the mask, the creature gritted his teeth angrily, gripping at his knees. The idiocy of humans never stopped to both amuse him, and anger him to the point of boiling.

And in a way, I guess, they are right, for all the fights he gets into right now are some form of contribution from the ones he had already beaten before. he said, thinking about all the faces he had seen today and how most of them were familiar. But nobody thinks about the fact that the cycle goes further than that, and that his initial reasons for the first string of fights tie deeply to the behaviour that they have adapted towards him a long time ago.

He hadn't been present then, not really, being simply a possibility within William's power, a branch, an Attack that was there to follow his every command. He, however, still remembered the feeling of wanting to burst out every time somebody talked to the boy, and the wolf that was his counterpart, William's Defence, had later helped him tie that back to the merciless teasing that the boy had gone through, and for what? A few stupid rumours that the students have imagined, and spread, all by themselves. It had only led him to conclusion that these children were cruel, and that William should be allowed his fair amount of punches. Still, as the time passed, it became obvious that the boy was changing and that he wasn't doing it just from the need of self-defense any more, and that was when the things became worrying.

You need to get him to talk about it. Warrior said, looking sternly at the counsellor. The two of us are not enough. We know him, we love him, but we cannot get him to stop, because he doesn't listen, and we can't allow ourselves to let him get hurt. Looking at the boy, Warrior let out a tired sigh.

It is your job to get him to talk. Get him to tell you about his parents, about the time he did not talk, about getting here. Get him to tell you about why he does things that he does now. Do all that, and then yell at him for being such an idiot for so long. looking at Wong though, Warrior had to rethink his statement. Or at least explain to him why it was wrong...Psychologically looking.

Your post is fine, but, man, William's story is such a cliché xD

Wong Ha Jung

The counselor bowed his head at the spirit's words. "I know," he said softly, before confessing, "Sometimes I just worry about pushing people too far." He smiled a little, somewhat unhappily, and tried to not look too pathetic. He certainly felt like it. "I'm a silly person. I'll work on it." Meaning both his own reservations as well as attempting to get William to open up. For the former, shutting up about it would probably work well enough. Wong Ha Jung really did hate lingering on those things.

He sighed, actually feeling something resembling calm now instead of just thinking it. There was just this general blanket of tiredness over all of his emotions now. At least the stinging feeling in his hands were gone. Oh right, he hated Black Winter, too. Well. There was nothing he could do about it but he supposed that was fine.

"What does he call you by?" Wong Ha Jung asked the long haired spirit after a time. "Maybe I missed it, but it seems wrong to keep referring to the two of you just as William's spirits." Now that he thought about it, they had never really gotten a proper introduction, had they? Because of how angry William had been back then, the man had never asked.

I am Warrior. the creature said, bowing his head lightly, the strands of his long, silver hair falling around his sharp, masked face, his eyes closing while he bowed, and then opening again, still focused at Wong. And he is simply Spirit. Warrior said, pointing his head towards the wolf. He wasn't sure how exactly they had gotten their names. There was never an exact moment at which William had told him 'You are Warrior'. He had simply started calling him like that, he had answered, and it stuck. He was pretty sure that was what had happened with Spirit as well.

Though there is nothing wrong with referring to us as his spirits, for that is what we still are. he said a second later, casting a fleeing glance at the boy. He didn't want mindless dolls following him around, so he had allowed us time to develop our own personalities, but we still come from his power. he finished, turning towards Wong again. And I'll tell you something now: you will never get anywhere with him thinking like that. He needs to be pushed, and if you wonder about how far...He will never let you do anything. Like I said, the boy is too stubborn for his own good. Just as he said that, the said boy started steering around his makeshift bed of Spirit's fur.

Wong Ha Jung

Wong Ha Jung tipped his head back a little, looking at the sky after Warrior had given him the warning. "I see," he said, rather passively. Not because he wasn't going to do anything with that information, but because he needed some time to internalize it. It just wasn't in his nature to be pushy. Which was probably a failing in his field. But he could be if he really needed to. He simply disliked it. If being pushy was what somebody else needed him to be, however, the counselor would try his best to be that.

He breathed out something between a sigh and a laugh at his own frustrating softness. "That's good to know."

As the counselor began to hear the tell a tale shifting sounds of a person coming close to waking up, he looked back to William. Almost immediately, he was hit by strong wave of relief. Oh. Oh, good. The urge to cry was starting to come up, which was completely inappropriate for the situation and was just another indication of what a silly man he was. He pressed his hand to his eyes and kept the tears back.

And then there was nothing else for Wong Ha Jung to do but wait for the boy to wake up.
