I'm not very good at talking, doc. the boy said, still glaring at the tree as if it had just uttered a personal insult towards him, his lips folding themselves into a very thin line as he tried not to bite on them, for he knew that if he would allow himself to do that, he would bite them until they bled.
He tried to think, to clear his head, and figure out what he should and what he wanted to do as well as the difference between the two. On one hand, he felt tired, and not just from the fight. He wanted to talk, even though he wasn't really sure what he would say. On the other, what was the point of all that? Would he suddenly change back with a wave of Wong's hand? Will talking make his teachers forget all the disrespectful things he had said? Would talking change the fact that some of those things were true? No. Then, why? Why waist air on talking that could be breathed in during another fight...Well, maybe because he got tired of fighting already.
So he opened his eyes again (when did he close them anyway? He had somehow missed that) and with a small smile turned his head towards the other man. But if we're going he said, a smirk already replacing what trace of a smile that was there I hope you have enough money to feed a hungry wolf. he finished, and as he said that, the said wolf immediately opened his eyes, proving, as far as William was concerned, that he couldn't have been asleep at all.
Knew it. he scoffed, and Spirit growled just a bit, and somewhere in the back of his mind he hoped that Wong wasn't excepting too much to come out of their talk because this was who he was now and the only thing that could change was how he choose to express himself.
