Wong Ha Jung

Wong Ha Jung tilted his head to the side. Oh? That's strange. William seems like a smart boy. Although his file did specifically mention disrespect towards authority so stubbornness was probably the primary issue in that case. The counselor knew that Itou in particular might be offended by that sort of behavior, although, considering the fact that the economics teacher seemed to spend a great amount of time taking orders from a teenage girl... Ah... Sometimes he felt like Itou was far more patient then he let on. Or maybe it was the other way around?

"It is an interesting field," Wong Ha Jung agreed gently. "It's very broken up, though. What interests you the most? Studying disorders or treating them? It's all spread across several subfields. Even so, disorders are only a small part of psychology. You might find something else that you like as well." He laughed softly, "Personally, I find Freud pretty interesting, even though I don't agree with many of his conclusions."

I'm not too sure. William said, biting onto his lip. Talking about future made him uncertain in the worst of ways, for he really didn't know what he would like to do. He just knew, deep down, that he wanted to do something. Something that would... he did not know himself. Just something that wasn't sitting in the office from nine to five, bending his head to some idiot that called himself his boss. He had done enough of that in school, the teachers using every chance they got to show him that yes, they were still the authority. He had his on opinion about that, though.

Though I definitely wouldn't chose treating them. he laughed, scoffing. I'm too fucked up myself to be telling anybody what to do. Hell, have I been in your shoes, I would have killed myself seven times already. he laughed again, rolling his eyes, as his hands fell in his lap again. He really had no trouble admitting that he was insufferable. He knew that very well. It was people treating him like shit for it that really got him mad, for, none of this, in his head at least, wasn't exactly his fault. He could track back every act of anger back to how people were treating him, and, yeah, well, maybe he could have reacted better, but the point was, that he did not want to. If people were going to treating him like a criminal, well, he was damn well going to act as one as well.

You'd be better doing something with those hands of yours. Spirit spoke from the floor, having relaxed once it seemed that William wasn't going to try to kill Wong again. He was surprised, yet again, both by the fact that William had spoken, and by what he had said. You're always reaching for one thing or the other anyway, might as well do something with it. And isn't that what all this talk about psychology comes down to? Fixing people, taking them apart? Spirit wondered, speaking half to William, half to himself, leaving the boy in stunned silence, until Warrior decided to speak.

It is his decision, Spirit. the usually silent creature said, and the other spirit raised his head to look at him. Do you think I don't know that? the wolf scoffed, twitching his tail. I am simply stating an opinion. the giant head fell to the floor again, the creature's ears twitching in irritation, and William couldn't help but burst with laughter. You two sound like a pair of concerned parents. he said, still laughing, his grin stretching from ear to ear.

Wong Ha Jung

The counselor turned his head in surprise, hearing the second spirit finally speak. The feeling only grew when William suddenly started to laugh genuinely. Wong Ha Jung looked at the boy's grin then to the spirits and then back. Ah, so this is what is it. For all intents and purposes, the two spirits really did act as William's parents, didn't they? It might have been meant as a joke but from what he could see, it was very much the truth.

I think that I might have been forgotten. Not that it was a bad thing. He wasn't quite sure he would have been allowed to have seen this interaction if they had all been paying attention to him still.

It was always sad to him whenever children couldn't get along with their parents. Probably because of how happy his own family life had been, it was sometimes hard to imagine not having that base of support. But it was always nice to see happy relationships form regardless, as they did often do.

"You're not that bad of a person, William," Wong Ha Jung said eventually, feeling slightly as if he were intruding. He was fairly mortified about that one comment, however. Hell, have I been in your shoes, I would have killed myself seven times already. "I don't believe it."

"In any case, time does have a tendency to change people. The person you are now probably isn't the person you'll be a decade from now." The counselor thought distantly, God knows that I'm not the same. "Maybe in a few years you'll change your mind about it. If it's the type of thing you already like doing, though. It might be worth looking into now."

In all honestly, William did forget about Wong's presence for a moment as he enjoyed a rare moment in which he could simply laugh with (at) his summons and not worry about a thing. Wong's next words shocked him out of the mood though, and his smile was soon fading away.

Don't get yar head up in the clouds there, doc. he said, his expression hardening. He felt vulnerable all of a sudden, having suddenly realised how much of himself he had actually shown here, and vulnerable didn't sit well with him, not any more any way. All that shit they say about me there... he said, pointing to the file Wong was holding before. It's true, through and through. he said, clenching his fists. Hell, that's not even most of it. The file really didn't look big enough to hold the list of all the fights he had started only in the last two months, let alone the whole year.

It's just that I'm interested in as why exactly I am like this. he smiled, something dangerous making its way from behind his eyes, hardening them while he glared. That is all.

Defensive mechanisms are defensive mechanisms, though I don't know which one this would be.... and posts-not-liked-by-me look something like this xD

Eh, that's fine. Wong has his fair share, too. Many of which are present in this thread, even.

Wong Ha Jung

Wong Ha Jung sighed softly at William's words, thinking that they did seem awfully familiar. He kept it to himself, though, and just smiled since there wasn't anything else he could do about it just then. "All right," the counselor said. Hopefully, William could be convinced to come by again, of his own volition. The counselor would really rather not have Itou haul anybody in again. For one, it wasn't very nice. For another, it seemed like a likely way for somebody to get hurt.

"Well in any case, if you're so interested in the subject, there are some texts over there that you can take." He gestured towards the bookshelves, saying in a slightly dreamy tone, "It would be nice if they could get back to me eventually, though. Some how." He hadn't had any problems with people borrowing from him before but Wong Ha Jung was reasonably sure that he wasn't going to start hounding after people if they started.

He will return them. this time, Spirit did speak before William got the chance to say something crude and disrespectful again. The boy tsked, letting his eyes wonder carefully towards the texts Wong had shown him.

I will make Warrior return them. the boy corrected, standing up and looking at the creature.

I refuse. the creature answered, eyeing him with his silent, silver eyes.

Rolling his eyes, William laughed, having already expected such an answer. Yeah, yeah... Seems you don't have to worry, doc. he said, turning towards Wong. I'll be coming back, you don't have to look over your shoulder for angry economics teachers and such.

"Ah, I'll hold you to it, then, William," the counselor responded peaceably, standing up as well because it felt rude not to. "Whenever you have the chance is fine, although if you want to set a particular time, we can do that, too." Since he was sure that the two spirits would hold William to his word even if the boy himself wavered, Wong Ha Jung didn't feel the especial need to press the subject.

"If languages interest you, there's some of that there, too," he added, looking at the books. "A few college textbooks on Japanese, but the rest are just entirely in another language." Speaking of which, when was the last time he had read any of those, anyways? Maybe it had been in the first week after arriving at the island...

In case you haven't noticed, doc, William said, grabbing a few books from where they were standing I'm not too good with words in my own language. I think another might just be too much for me. Looking down at the few heavy books that he had taken, he smiled a bit. But, thanks for these...I guess. he said, turning than towards Warrior. Carry these for me? he asked, trying to manage a puppy dog look but failing.

I refuse.

Wong Ha Jung

He did a partial bow out of habit at William's tentative thanks. "I'll be seeing you later, then," the counselor said softly, opening the door for a boy as he left. "Take care." That one was done much more quietly, since he wasn't sure how that would be received. The spirits following the boy would have surely heard it, however.

Wong Ha Jung stood at the doorway for a short while, watching as the three went down the hallway before retreating back into his office. Ah, that wasn't so bad, he thought, leaving the door slightly ajar as he usually did. No, not at all...

Perhaps he had better have a talk with Itou about maybe letting up on the boy. That, that would be...difficult.
