Her hand came towards his and though it was slow, Lochlann's reflexes were hampered by the alcohol that had replaced his blood. Slowly, he put his opposite hand on top of her own.
"Don't you understand?" he brushed his hand across hers slowly, closing his eyes. Her skin was smooth beneath his, so soft, so very human. She was his most real hallucination to date. This was a waking nightmare.
She was so close now. Every cell in his body was alive with want, with need. The old, familiar ache was clawing at the inside of his body.
oYou'll feel better if you do this, you need to do this, this is what your body was made to do, it pleaded with him.
He didn't want to do it, though. There was no way he could do it. Loch had been clean since he'd came to the school. It'd been how many months since his last slip up?
But you don't even know how long it's been, his body pleaded. Maybe that last girlfriend of yours was a slip-up. You can't even remember what happened to her. You don't have to remember this. You're a monster, what difference does it make?"
He was shaking under her touch, his fingers could barely hold the knife. It'd be so easy to drop it.
"Please," he opened his eyes, begging her. "You don't know what it's like to live like this. I've done everything I can to make it stop. Nothing..nothing has worked."
He took a small step towards her, closing the distance between them until he was too close, until he could almost taste her breath.
"Please, I...i don't want to do this. I just want..."
He blinked, and what little green surrounding his pupil disappeared into darkness. "I just want to kiss you."
