High society socials/networking events

Do you have a wealthy, powerful, important character? Do you have a character that desperately wants to become more of all of those things, or fits at least one of if not all the categories? Are they willing to behave themselves in terms of physical fights and destruction, and only be antagonistic in the subtle game and long term manipulation area? Are you a fan of that kind of theme?

Then they just might get an invite to join the private, high society social events put on by none other than Alva Crowther. As a direct quote from her character profile:

Even if they haven't personally met her or been to one of her events, people on island and further should be at least vaguely aware of Alva's existence and reputation, and the fact that she'd the current head of the Crowther family. Old magic, old money, plenty of connections, and not stopping any time soon.

While her son Clarence puts on the big, showy, raging parties, she puts together smaller more personal and respectable things. High society get togethers/business opportunities, in a nice, neutral enough setting. Alva makes it her business to meet new friends and partners whenever possible, and puts on these intimate events regularly- around two times a month or more.

If you're willing to behave yourself, be intelligent and willing to make things happen or at least be friendly, and you'll respect your hosts, and you're important/wealthy/etc, then you'll probably be welcome there. Pleasant company, and networking. Those that have children, family, or relevant business partners are also welcome to bring them along- if they can behave/be trusted. Especially seeing Alva's son is always involved/advertises for her when he can.

If anyone shows too many signs of violence, attempts to steal from the Crowthers, or generally impolite and antagonistic behaviour, there will be no hesitation to kick them out. The Crowther mansion is a no danger, neutral zone for get togethers, and will be staying that way if Alva has anything to say about it. Those that throw tantrums will not be tolerated, or taken seriously.

Characters can either be assumed to have contacted her first, or to have received an invitation to these events. Absolutely! Go right ahead and assume the families are already familiar with each other- that'd be more than accurate to expect. Although Alva puts her personal touch and pride into her little events, the Crowthers have been putting on things and playing the game for generations. Although new allies are welcome for the rps, more familiar faces are just as enjoyed.
