Marco is a devout Catholic and a family man. Marco justifies his heinous actions with good intentions. If he ever committed atrocious things, it was because he wanted to take care of his family. He wants to make sure his children never suffer through the poverty he did. He uses a portion of his money to either build or repair churches in the areas he moves to. He believes that, despite the blood in his hands, he is ultimately a good person and it shows in the way God never seems to lead him astray.
He is a very cold, typically masculine kind of person, priding himself as the unfaltering family provider. If he ever feels strongly about something, he lets it show through his actions. This means he shows his love in the way his children always have money to spend and a good education that will help them in their future as well as a beautiful house to live in. But he is also a strict disciplinarian, and his love is a tough kind of love. He’s not afraid to raise his voice or his hand against his children if they get out of line. But the minute other people hurt his family, he will use the tremendous power he garnered over the years to crush those people.
Outside of his family and church, he is a polite gentleman and a persuasive negotiator. He can come off as intimidating but he is pretty reasonable most of the time. If his money drops to zero or if he ends up heavily in debt, Marco will most likely age rapidly or, if it’s a debt he can never recover from, die.
Magic-imbued money: Unlike most people, Marco can bargain with supernatural creatures using cash. This is because, as Greed, all the money he owns is automatically imbued with magic. Supernatural creatures will be able to use the money they got from him to warp reality;
Paid Reality-Warping: Marco can literally pay forces in Hell to warp reality to his favor. He addresses the payment to a special network, and once his money goes through, his wish will be granted. Most transactions take about an hour to go through, and reality warping is expensive – a small scale purchase like turning all his garden’s flowers orange would cost him at least two million dollars. A bigger one like setting his rival’s house on fire would cost billions. He prefers to avoid this method as much as he possible because of the aforementioned income-based immortality.
Sin Patriarch: As the self-appointed patriarch of the sin family, Marco has access to powers that can reel his fellow sins in check such as:
Half-demon: Marco is half-demon. He is three times stronger, faster, sturdier and smarter than the average human but he also has some of the compulsion demons have when they are given orders by a superior. Marco cannot disobey his mother’s orders.
(item) Seal of the Father: A gift he received from Rosa when he was younger. It is a spell he can use to confine his more volatile peers in check. He often uses this to ground his children to their rooms when they’re having their episodes.
(item) Wrath’s Tethers: Marco possesses the only item that can keep his son Wrath in check: his tethers. At the moment, it is in the form of cufflinks he wears in his suits or carries around in his pockets.
Mother’s Love: Not Marco’s powers, per se, but the powers of his mother Rosa which only he can access. She can do two things:
Telepathy: Due to her vegetable state, Rosa is literally unable to talk. She can only communicate to Marco via telepathy. She often gives him advice, orders or information. Sometimes, it’s not clear whether Marco decided a decision for himself or his mother ordered him to.
Sin Location: Rosa can locate where the sins are but she is severely weakened. If they are in the same house as her, she would be able to locate them immediately, but if they are on the other side of the world, it would take years for her to give an estimate of where they are.

Theirs was a passionate love affair. He took good care of her despite her status as an unwed pregnant woman. She fell in love with his kindness and generosity.

He would set up illegal gambling rings during lunch breaks and smuggle in items that weren’t allowed in school such as elaborate candies that weren’t sold at the cafeteria. Somehow, they were never in any trouble financially. But his rapid development took a toll on his mother. He was the more powerful demon and she had to suffer as he unconsciously drained the life out of her.
The minute he stepped out of high school, she degenerated into nothing but a vegetable and she feared for her fate in his hands. With a smile, he said, “Mother, let me carry you now.â€
She told him to follow his destiny to find the six other sins. When she lost her speech, she realized this was probably what her demon lord intended for the two of them all along.
Greed’s potential as a businessman blossomed after he finished College. He worked menial jobs for a few years, working retail in the day and scrubbing plates at the local eatery at night until his hands were sore and calloused from overwork. He used what little money he saved to purchase a “haunted lot†near his house, sharing the deed with a close, childhood friend.
It was in this haunted lot that Greed began to hear whispers of his kind. He and his friend began their plan to open a sugar plantation, but after they set it up and the lot provided a bountiful harvest, Greed shot his partner in the back of the head and buried him six feet just like the demons suggested. At first, he sold the sugar to the local market but the profit was barely higher than the cost of labor. Eventually, he expanded the lot and sold his sugar exclusively to a local factory. The brand and the contract proved to be effective. Greed’s economic status grew from ‘poor’ to ‘upper middle class.’
He moved him and his mother to a slightly bigger home but he wasn’t content. He needed more power, and in order to get more power, he needed more money. He decided to use his money to open up an Italian restaurant – the first Italian restaurant in their city. The food was high class and, for the most part, affordable so many rich people came to his restaurant to eat. The revenue was so high that he expanded his restaurant to all of Mexico and then, eventually, the States.
Greed was around thirty when he eventually reached ‘rich’ status. This was also around the time his aging began to slow down… and around the time he met Pride.
His mother told him to fly to a coast and meet the incarnation of Pride there. When he laid his eyes on the beautiful Siren, he knew it was love at first sight. Greed spent a hefty sum of money to give the beautiful Siren legs. He became her manager, her lover, and eventually, her husband. The two were in love and inseparable.
Greed’s business only began to grow. He was a mogul with a quick brain and a ruthless fist. He got into the music business because of his wife, his franchise spread all over the world and he became the silent partner of many important businesses. He opened many casinos and clubs, and he got involved with the illegal distribution of drugs in the shadows.
Marco became an incredibly powerful man. So many businesses today owe their creation, partially, to Marco, from the rubber in sneakers to the glass in light bulbs.
He began gathering the other Sins recently. He was fortunate enough to have Lust as a biological son, but Micah was an incredible disappointment so he used him as a shell to imbue the spirit of Wrath in. He also pulled some strings and adopted Esmeralda into his own family.
Recently, he moved his family to Manta Carlos to open up a Casino called Sierra Madre, as well as to enroll his darling children in a school that can understand them.
