Yoka Sake could not remember the last time she had intentionally slept on the ground.

Since she had been first able to afford a bed, Yoka had always had one, and now she was giving it up in order to provide her workers with team-building exercise.

They had no idea the sacrifices she was making for this. Sleeping without a bed.

The kitsune was dressed in a pair of jeans, a long-sleeved shirt, and her dark hair was pulled up into a bun. She'd applied a layer of bug spray and had dark paint under her eyes to keep the bugs away as she scrounged about setting up her tent.

It was already starting to get late and the fox wanted to have everything set up so someone could start dinner soon. Everyone knew the rules: No Powers Allowed this entire weekend. No cell phones. No technology. No fighting.

Just a nice, relaxing weekend with booze, music, and good company. What could possibly go wrong?

"Who was supposed to get fire wood?" Yoka called, brushing her hands on her pants, satisfied that her tent was up for now.

Cynthia has arrived a few hours ago, she had brought some alcohol, smores, and a change of clothes, she had wanted to bring her phone to try and watch the new episode of Powerful Rangers Hyper, but she wasnt allowed to use technology, and Yoka would've found out... Whatever she could wait a few days, she only hoped that the readers of her blog could also wait.

She was wearing some jeans, and a green t-shirt with short sleeve, everyone could see her arms... I mean, literally everyone here had seen her half naked at work, but that was work this is real life... Its different.

Her tent was already set up and she was sitting by the fire in a , or at least where the fire was supposed to be if someone had lit it up. "I dont know who was supposed to get fire wood but it wasnt me."

Crow was wandering around the forest, glowing. This was meant literally and metaphorically, since the slits that made up his grin and his eyes actually did flicker with an unseen fire. He had just nicked another store of it's silverware section. It would take a bit for him to melt it down into bars but hey, it was worth it. This world had a bevy of resources, but the magic was far different than his own worlds. He could get some of his items to work, but most seemed inert. Oh well, his bags seemed to not be effected, nor did some of his more important tools.

He continued wandering aimlessly, when he heard voices in the forest. Intrigued, the scarecrow wandered over that way. Hmm...Seemed like some description of camp out. Crow took note of all the participants about, staying at a fair distance. He wasn't worried about being sniffed out because of his trusty Scentblinder, but being stealthy always helped.

All the figures seemed to have good skin, well taken care of hair, and were all attractive by normal standards. From Crows experience, that meant there was probably something interesting located in the camp. Either way, it was a win for Crow. Scaring these people would put him in an even better mood.

The scarecrow waited until nobody was looking his way before appearing at the side of the clearing, leaning against a tree and willing the light in his face away. He stretched his arms out like an actual scarecrow and waited.

Cat was, well a cat, she had stayed hidden for most of the trip to chill though always keeping an eye on Yoka because even if Yoka trusted her employee, cat didn't know them or what they where capable of and part of her contract was to protect Yoka.

Once they arrived she changed back to her human form, this was the last time she could use magic if Yokas instructions where to be followed but she continued to build her tent with anticipation and giddiness, she was gonna live like a human who camps.

Her choice of clothes where practical military styled and she had packed with her three knives, flare gun, band aid, disinfectant and other survival things however she had also packed two non essential things, marshmallows and a book of what humans call scary stories.

Ardos didn't really see the point of this. Work was work. As touching as it was that Yoka wanted them to make friends and work as a team, it was really unnecessary.

He didn't like the no fighting rule, and he especially didn't like the no cell phones rule. How was he supposed to check up on Zen? How was he supposed to check up on Amphy and Stormy? What if Amphy got hurt and he wasn't around to protect him? Ugh, terrible. He was half-tempted to call one of Amphy's raptors so he could check up on him, but he felt like if he did that he'd just end up leaving.

He ducked under a branch with arms full of firewood, arriving exactly when Yoka started asking who was supposed to do that. He placed the pile next to a log that had his backpack with his belongings propped against it. It wasn't heavy. Inside, he only had a bottle of water, a swiss army knife, canned goods, a carton of cigarettes, a lighter and three whole bags of Hershey's Kisses. Next to it was his sword.

"Should I start the fire, Ms. Sake?"

Not that the campsite was necessarily busy, but there were still a lot more people than Kiyana had expected. Though she had no problem with crowds, she more so hoped that everyone would go to bed at a somewhat reasonable time, but considering that she wasn't their mother, reasonable would most likely be 2 at the earliest. Flipping her access hair out of her way, to go behind her pale shoulder, she quickly tied her hair up in a ponytail, wanting to make sure that it stayed out of the way as she worked to make her camp area look as she wanted it.

Unzipping her tent zipper and crawling in, she placed her blanket over her bed. An ocean spread, with a dolphin leaping up out of the water to her direction, with a sunset in the background. Laying it perfectly over her sleeping bag, she then reversed her step, zipping up her tent once she was completely out. Wearing black leggings with dark blue jeans shorts, dark brown cowboy boots and a orange tank top with her favorite dark blue plaid sweater, Kiyana don't look all campy. Scoping her surrounding area, she stood there waiting until someone needed her, or until someone noticed how stupid she looked just standing there.

Doll, or Eve as it was officially going by in this situation and job (or Adam, for any who preferred it that way), was rather amused. This wasn't the first time it had taken on this sort of work, not even close to that- but it was the first time it had a group trip included so quickly. It was probably the timing, but it didn't change the fact that it was, on a whole... an exotic dancer camping trip? It was silly to even lace those words together mentally. Still, amused was a better mindset to go into something with than some of the alternatives.

At first, with the 'no powers' rule, Doll had been thinking it wouldn't be able to go along at all. Seeing its ability couldn't really be turned off. It had tried before, to no avail. That wasn't the case, though. Passive, uncontrollable powers were acceptable. So Doll- barely even starting in to this new job- was along for the ride, just like that.

Doll, not having much experience with its coworkers, wasn't sure just how it was all going to go- but it was going to take advantage of whatever it could.

Doll didn't have a tent to set up. Seeing its skin wasn't quite what bugs wanted, there was nothing to worry about there, and the opportunity to do only little pretend sleeping and a great deal of stargazing wasn't about to be missed.

Doll had put down a small tarp, to both lay its sleeping bag and belongings on, and to keep everything clean. The things it had brought along included: a very well made swiss army knife, several changes of light but nice clothes, some makeup, for-travel sneak cleaning supplies, and two books. One was a mystery, the other an expansive survival guide- just in case something happened. There might be a chance to get some likability credits for simply having it, even if it doesn't end up needed. Reputation, reputation. Its setup wasn't overly far from everyone else, but not too close, either. A large messenger bag was the current container of Doll's things.

Doll itself wasn't overdressed (although it had been hard to resist), but wasn't underdressed either. It had on high waisted, mint green shorts, and a see through button up with a tank top underneath, both black.

Doll wasn't personally doing much quite yet, just listening and observing, very carefully.

Doll leaned back on its soft sleeping bag and watched the sky, and the small amounts of stars it could already pick out coming into view as it grew darker. Somewhere, out of the corner of its glass eyes, Doll thought it saw a little movement- and while it didn't move its head to check, it hummed under its breath.

Murphy cursed as he stumbled under the weight of his heavy rucksack. He hadn't even been hiking for two hours before he'd become horribly lost and separated from his group. Last night the dorm head had mentioned that they were all going to go camping in the woods as some sort of misguided attempt at team building, and this morning he'd gotten up at a god forsaken hour to make sure he'd packed everything. To make matters worse he'd managed to pack everything except for food. Now he was lost, tired, hungry and, from the looks of it, night was coming soon... wonderful.

Something ahead made him pause and listen. Voices? Oh thank god, maybe they could offer some assistance in guiding him to the others. Well, assuming they weren't a pack of hungry werewolves or a coven of witches or something.

"Hello?" he called as he approached, "Anyone there?"

Yoka made a frustrated noise in the back of her throat, wondering what the hell was going to happen with this camp. Would it ever be set up in time so they could actually start to party?

"How are we supposed to finish setting up if we can't even--Oh," she said, as Ardos arrived. She hadn't been thrilled when he brought a sword camping, anticipating a drunk sword fight, but Yoka was pleased if it meant he was chopping wood.

"Yes, Ardos, if you could please start the fire, that would be much appreciated," she said.

Yoka was determined not to micromanage, to let this be a good weekend but...

"Cynthia, you're one of my most experienced employees, you've been with me perhaps the longest," Yoka said, looking at the young woman. "We have Eve with us tonight, a new hire, and I would like her to feel welcome into the Cross Fox family. Would you be a dear and see that she is situated and feeling welcome?"

From here, Yoka picked up her bag and went to address Kiyana.

"Kiyana, if you're free, do you feel like helping me get dinner started but--oh," Yoka paused, hearing a voice near the edge of the clearing. Behind her illusion, one of her fox ears twitched.

"I take that back. Kiyana, would you see who that is? I hope that's not our other hire, he insisted on traveling here by himself and I had the feeling that boy didn't know his ass from his elbow," she said. Of course, Yoka was referring to Murphy's calls from the edge of the forest, but she was mistaking him for a different employee.

"Just be careful, there's a weird looking scarecrow out there, who knows what they have planted around him," Yoka called. She started to dig through her bag but realized she was missing.....well she was missing a lot of things. Like cooking wine. There was no way in hell she was going to use sake to cook tonights dinner.

"Did anyone bring cooking wine?" she called out to the group.

"Hnnnnngh... alright." Cynthia sighed and picked up her chair, lazily carrying it over to where that new employee was. She hadnt really gotten a good chance to see them, she had heard a few rumors that they were a living doll of some sort. Cynthia at first thought it was just bullshit, but having spent most of her life on this island she had seen weirder things.

Looking at whatever they were, it was weird. Cynthia tried not to stare but it was sort of difficult. She plopped her chair down and layed back down on it.

"So uh... hey I guess..." she spoke in a lazy and bored tone, and her expression was the same. She was pretty disinterested in this whole trip and just wanted to get back home.
