"I don't know, wouldn't instant hot chocolate be like cheating?" Anh Sang asked doubtfully. "I wanna do it the right way!" That was how real adults did things, and she wanted to be actually taken seriously for the elections. If that meant making actual hot chocolate in an actual kitchen with actual ingredients, then the girl didn't see any reason why she shouldn't try it out.

From experience, she said, "Internet is much better than cookbooks! I can't ever understand the books in this school anyways." And that statement did extend to her textbooks.

Anastasia couldn't help but let out a tiny sigh."No, it would not be cheating. You would not be going out to harvest the cocoa yourself to make the chocolate, would you? Would using pre-madechocolate not be cheating as well?" It seemed to Anastasia that it would be extremely odd to say no to some things and yes to others, even if they were the same level of 'cheating'. They were all using things that had already been processed.

"Don't they have textbooks in your language, or anything?" Anastasia could read English more or less without issue (although writing or speaking it was more of a struggle), so she'd never considered the possibility to people having to deal with textbooks they couldn't even read.

Anh Sang thought about it for a moment. "It's kind of different?" She said. "I mean, still, powdered hot chocolate is just really different from hot chocolate right before you drink it?" There was probably a correct answer to this question but Anh Sang just wasn't seeing it.

"I think there's some books in Vietnamese but not too many," she said when Anastasia asked. "There's more Japanese books than Vietnamese, anyways, but I'm not supposed to be reading any of them because my parents want me to learn English better." The girl squinted in thought. "I guess it's kind of working? But science stuff is hard and food is just like. Hard."

Anastasia genuinely couldn't remember the last time she'd had either kind of cocoa, so she could only grimace. Was their really a difference? It seemed... minor, at best.

The mention of Vietnamese and Japanese felt a bit off putting. Just how many languages to this tiny little girl know? Anastasia only knew Russian and some English, and yet Sang seemed to have already learned three different languages well enough to read and speak them. That was... well, she was a little bit envious.

"I do not think it would make a difference. The idea is to give a nice warm treat to people on the cold day, so that they will vote for you." She didn't actually know for sure if that was the point, but it seemed sensible enough for her."So the quality of the hot chocolate shouldn't matter, as long as it tastes nice and is warm." She was still of hte opinion that more hot chocolate would be better than a small amount of high quality hot chocolate.

"Well, I guess," the girl grumbled after a little bit of thought, shoulders slumping slightly. "It just seems so weird taking the easy way on things, though." In Anh Sang's mind, it was almost like quitting, maybe just a few steps short of it. While she know logically that sometimes -meaning a lot- people had to and did quit on things, herself included, it just made her feel so awful.

"So, I should just go to the store, I guess?" Anh Sang said doubtfully. "But how much should I even buy?" And would her parents give her more money for it? She really was running a bit low on allowance money these days.

Yes, yes she should go to the store. Just like everyone else would in her situation. "Yes. Just buy enough for however many people you want - most packages will say how many cups it'll make." Or at least they did in Russia, but it was a clear enough thing that made obvious sense, so she saw no reason for it to be different here.

She paused, stopping her walk. She'd still been on the way to the home ec rooms, but it seemed she'd done a good enough job of convincing her.

"So you will just do that, да?"

"I guuuessss," Anh Sang said again, dragging the word out to show exactly how much she didn't agree with it. She'd probably be a bit unhappy with it for a while, even though she did understand why the older girl's plan was probably a better idea. Losing just felt weird like that.

"Are you sure that just any kind will be okay?" She asked, as if this was something that could not possibly have been thought of before this point and Anastasia would change her mind just off of that alone. "Because there's a lot of different types, too."

As far as Anastasia was concerned, it didn't matter if she didn't like it. Making instant hot chocolate was a perfectly suitable way to draw attention to your campaign, and making hand-made hot chocolate was really just being excessive. It was too much work for too little return, especially when she was press ganging someone else into helping.

"I am absolutely sure that any kind will be fine." She said, giving Sang a firm look. That was it - she wasn't going to let her weedle out of it. It was going to be instant hot chocolate or bust.

She deflated just a little more, recognizing Anastasia's expression to be The Look. Older people always seemed to have it right down pat, leaving Anh Sang wondering just how they did it. Whenever she tried to look scary and stuff, people always got this weird look on their face. She didn't know what it was but it probably wasn't the same as this.

"If you say so," Anh Sang said, glancing down the hallways. "Nghh, then! I should go right now!" Who knew what the other candidates had been doing in all of this time! Maybe some of them had even come up with this same idea? No, no, no! Then she just had to make sure that she was first so everybody knew she wasn't copying anybody!

"Okay, sorry! I guess I need to go and do the thing now ahhhh!"

Now, which way was the fastest way out of the building? Left, right, should she just backtrack? Anh Sang decided to open a window and just jump out of it instead. They were only on the first floor anyways.
