It was quite frustrating. How was it that this mangy little cat kept getting away from him? It only made him more determined to get him—violent even as he toppled over lockers, ran over students, and bashed through doors like a raging bull…Or werewolf in this case. He was burning off a lot of energy and while that was good for the calories, he couldn’t be doing this all day…But god dammit he was going to try!

Now the cat was getting too fancy for it’s own good! The cat made the sharp turn into the ballisters and Cross was going to do the same. He leapt to the wall, claws punching through the cement before he launched off. He went head first through the ballisters, taking the entire rail with him down! Other rails were severely damaged on his way down and caved in Cross’ own hunk of rail along with chunks of wall as he descended.

CRASH, SCREECH, CRASH, SCREECH, BOOM!

He landed right on top of Remmy in his moment of disorientation, the tile cratering beneath his massive feet. Involuntarily he was drooling, most likely getting some of that saliva on top of Remmy’s stupid coat…That stupid coat he was about to eat. MINE. There was a series of grunts that could easily be taken as laughter from the werewolf as he reared back, jaws opened and descended—

BANG

For some ungodly reason, there were two trashcans on either side of him that just so happened to collide with the twisted metal that was once a handrail, keeping him from getting a mouthful of disoriented demon-shifting stinky cat. His jaws snapped shut on the hairs of the tip of Remmy’s tail before he bounded off again. Remmy was lucky the trashcans were strong enough to handle, but Cross was furious. He let out a frustrated howl and continued the hot pursuit!

It was seconds after Remmy had sped through the door, that there was a girlish shriek from the guy that opened it. He dove to the side as Cross rammed…against the doorframe. The doors burst wide open, warping the hinges from the incredible force. The twisted metal around his neck trapped him! He was stubborn though and with the cat in his sight, he began to push against the doorframe, the sound of bending metal and crackling cement loud and clear over his snarls.

The moment the feline shifter regained his bearings, he was off, squirming his way from beneath the enraged werewolf and scurrying past the startled stranger. He let out a disgruntled hiss, however, as the canine's disgusting slobber seeped into his normally carefully groomed coat. 'The mutt'll pay for this!' He thought wrathfully, vivid green eyes narrowing as he plotted the werewolf's continued doom. Even if there was a shred of doubt before, now there was absolutely no chance in hell he would allow the werewolf to keep his pride intact. No, the chase wasn't for laughs anymore-- Ren was getting serious. He knew that angering the wolf further was the first step. Cross would surely slip up and make a mistake in his all-consuming rage, which is when the shifter would strike.

Like now, he supposed. Feeling safe for the moment, he paused for a few scant seconds to glance over his shoulder. He purposefully exaggerated his imperious expression to bother the little puppy, looking for all the world like a cat with a bowl of cream. It was actually quite amusing to see the predicament Cross was in, and even better, would give him a head start, even if only a small one. With that in mind, he shot forward, dodging the poor, unsuspecting people that were minding their own business walking down the hall.

He kept his sharp gaze out for a room with an open window, and after several turns down the interconnecting hallways, he finally found a classroom with an open window and backtracked a bit to run into the room. It was being used as a club meeting room at the moment, and one of the students had decided to open the window. Luckily, there wasn't even a screen, just the glass window, which gave Ren the chance to hop onto the desk closest to the opening and jump right out-- they were on the ground floor, and it wasn't much of a distance from the window to the ground. The feline shifter was planning to weave through and around the various gym classes and sports teams that were playing or practicing outside.

He was getting frustrated. BAM, BAM! The rail just wouldn't give and his head was too big for him to get the damn thing off. Plus, he was panting, trying to keep his body temperature down. The only thing he could do was go back to normal and that's exactly what he did. People watched with awe and horror as bones broke, realigned, and muscle mass shrank just a bit. Red fur piled around his feet and the last part of him that went back to normal was his beautiful face that was briefly a hideous wreck as the bones were forcibly pushed back into their original human form. The rail was much easier to remove and that was tossed aside. He stood there bare-assed for all the students to see. Girls blushed and screamed, some stared at--ahem-- and for a moment he smirked proudly with his hands on hips until that creepy girl with braces came along, oogling at his man-meat. Braces...on 'him'...He shuddered and suddenly remembered why he was in pursuit. With a quick shake and a growl, the massive naked man took off after the cat!

He barreled through the same hallway, getting gasps and shrieks from students and staff alike, one who was a particular busty woman that dropped her clipboard. He rushed past her, but then doubled back with a compliment to her breasts. A slap across the face later, he resumed chase and followed the scent into the very same room. Chaos broke out in a matter of minutes as Cross ran through the class room. "Man-meat coming through! Out of the way!" he commanded and dove out of the window, going into a perfect roll! Onto his feet, he ran faster than ever, the naked man going through the field like a mad-streaker. "Come back here you little shit!" he cursed at the tiny black cat. Ohoh! He was closing in on the little critter! Was it getting tired?! It had to be! His shadow casted over the cat--It was now or never! He leapt for the cat, his heart racing as fingers closed in on the little furball. Was he going to catch it!? "Got you now, you little asshat!!"

Taking advantage of his head start while Cross was busy with the twisted metal railing, Ren didn't stop for even a second, continuing forward as quickly as his slender black paws could carry him. He was thanking his lucky stars that the training each shifter of the Constantyne clan was forced to go through was so damned rigorous. It helped his agility in both his human and feline forms, as well as his endurance and speed. He wasn't just any old cat, after all. Though, he didn't think he'd ever need it like this— his train of thought was cut off as he sensed the mutt of the hour approaching once again. A twitch of a small, almost dainty pink nose later, however, had Ren realizing that Cross must have reverted back to his human form-- the large man still stank like wet dog, but it was mixed into Cross' human scent.

Mere moments later, his sharp gaze registered the shadow hovering over him, his little cat ears picking up the thumping, lumbering gait of the werewolf. Letting out his own battle cry-like yowl, Ren dug his paws into the dirt of the baseball field they had invaded, immediately skidding to a halt and causing Cross to overshoot him as the werewolf leapt. Had he kept running, he certainly would have been caught-- he had felt Cross' huge hands just, just brush the fur on his sides. Luckily enough, he had stopped just in time and now watched on in amusement as Cross leapt straight into the a group of boys crowding around a pitching machine that had broken only moments before.

'Ouch, that looks painful. I almost regret doing that.' The feline thought as he quickly turned around and started back towards the Academy buildings. He chose a different building to dart into, squeezing between a pair that had opened the entrance door and flitting down a hallway. All the while, he all but cackled in his mind, mentally taunting the mangy mutt instead of laughing aloud in order to save his breath for running.
