Mal'akh Echo
"Are we there yet?" the angel heard Apollo ask, a question to which it could only offer a pause and a quiet um as immediate answers. Because the truth was, they were relatively close to the island, yes. It was just. They could have probably already reached it by that point, if not for the fact that Echo had purposely slowed their flight speed in order to carry on with the conversation. In hindsight, it thought that it might have been just a bit carried away in its excitement. Yet it did not really feel regret for having done it, just plain embarrassment.
"I -If I increase our speed, the amount of time it would take for us to reach Manta Carlos would be no more than five minutes, I think." Wait, but would it really? It was so hard to properly measure time on Earth. At least Echo was sure that it did not mean to say hours. Or seconds. Maybe. Actually, depending on how much faster it decided to take them, it might really be possible for them to get there in five seconds. The main problem with that idea, however, was physics. The laws of physics would most likely take offense to a violation that blatant, especially since the angel's powers would not mitigate their effects.
In short, Echo was worried about potential whiplash. Five minutes, though, that should be perfectly safe. Well, whatever five minutes really translated over as. Maybe it would be better to say, the speed that Echo associated with five minutes was perfectly safe.
"If you would like, I am willing to do that."
