Sid was just walking around when he decided that he wanted to fight someone.

That in and of itself was not a novel thing, but he was feeling it more often lately. He couldn't help but shake the feeling that he needed to fight more, like he was getting weak. Normally his urge to fight only came when he could see Ardos, standing in the distance being the same height as him but built better, like a stupid line-faced drow Adonis and he wanted to crack a rib or two but always ended up with a broken collarbone and a mouth full of blood.

He hated being weaker than Ardos. He needed to be stronger, somehow. Even just a little bit.

Sid crossed his arms and looked around. Who would be a good person to fight? He'd asked Lei about it--she was notorious for picking fights, despite her round face and tiny stature.

She mentioned someone named Elias.

"If I were an 'Elias', where would I be....." he asked himself as he looked left and right.

Elias was punching a tree. The tree was not a particularly into it but that was fine. It would have been kind of scary if it had been. This was really more of a workout than anything else. His fists were in gloves and okay, it kind of hurt a bit but it wasn't bad. He was more worried about the slush on the ground but that right there was the entire reason why he was out. It was always a good idea to figure out some balance and how to not slip down right on his face.

But also, he just liked punching things. They made his arms feel better, like he was actually doing something. Maybe he should have approached an actual person for this sort of training but Elias had learned a little from his interaction with Emily. Maybe what he had to do was figure a new approach. A new way to introduce himself and get people to see that fighting wasn't bad. At least, not if anybody got hurt.

Elias, of course, would get hurt but that was just something he accepted as a price for not hurting other people. It was really easy to get consent for himself, after all. So. Yeah. There was that, too. Always had to be the positive side of things.

As Sid looked around pondering, he noticed someone a little distance away, punching at a tree with gloves on. He didn't seem to be doing much to the tree itself, but it was interesting to say nothing else.

His eyes were about to rove onwards when he glanced down at the guy's feet, and noticed that he seemed to be a bit higher than everyone else.

It was hard to see because of the snow, but Sid remembered being told that the guy he was looking for couldn't stand in grass. He stood on top of it, on top of blades without damaging them like he weighed nothing at all. It wasn't much to go on, but it was worth a shot.

He tucked his hands into the pockets of his coat before walking over to the guy. "Hey," he said, moving a little into his field of view to distract from his tree-punching. "You're Elias, right?"

Mid-punch, Elias was distracted by somebody calling for him. He continued with one last round at the tree, just because if he didn't, he was probably going to get thrown off balance and right onto his face. He quickly faced the newcomer with a wave, not even hesitating at the fact that he was very clearly not human. "If you're looking for the Elias with the ridiculously long name, that would be me, alright!"

"So, what do you need me for?" Elias asked cheerfully. "Sorry, but I don't think we've met, have we? I'm not that great in terms of memory." He was pretty sure that he'd remember somebody who was probably a dark elf or something, though. Pretty sure. But Elias had lots of weird dreams, too, like that one with the pirates and the floating islands made of magma. Sometimes things bled over or just got lost. No big deal or anything. At least it kept things interesting.
