Well, he got them to agree to those at least. "Okay, then." He started. "My first one. I'm sorry if this is a hurtful topic, but why is Corneilius considered special?"

This could be pivotal in his research. Depending on what he was, Corneilius might be raising troops, creating an Ally, or just having fun. Regardless, he needed this one answered.

It was also handy to hear him say 'this person' again. That meant he was referring to himself, earlier.

Marcus was silent for a moment. He was right, this did change everything. He was the second son. That meant for all the Regalia to follow so eagerly, the first son had to be out of the picture. But then again...

He had to check. "I have my second Question. Is Everyone able to bond, or is it only the ones that Cornelius has met with?"

"Oh?" That made sense.

Two down. "This is my third, but its the last question about Regalia." He watched to see Claudius' reaction. "Forgive me if i'm wrong, but are you Corneilius' older brother?"

He was? Marcus wasn't expecting to be right. Well, in any case, it wasn't part of his research. Nice to know, but probably wasn't relevant if Claudius had been here for years.

Nodding, Marcus asked his final question. "Sorry, to ask this after all that. but I was looking for some books on magic. Specifically Conjuring and or maybe Alchemy. Do you have anything in stock?"

Unrelated to what he was saying previously, but even if he was researching the Regalia, he still had some hobbies. If nothing else, it might ease some of the obvious tension he was sensing.

The guy might have been a regalia, but Marcus wasn't going to ask him to bond. He had his own life to live.

Marcus didn't know Claudius was that afraid of bonding, awkwardly shuffling after him as he went down a aisle.

Was there something about it that scared him? He wondered, looking at the books. He wanted to ask him, but he already asked his four questions. Marcus was going to keep his word, hopefully.

He did want to try to ask Claudius if they could bond, but he almost already knew the answer would be no.

"I'm somewhat new to spellcasting. Are these a suitable level for me?" He did some runes a while back, but that was mostly just experience the energy flow.
