Name and Date of Holiday: September 5th - 10th - Nation Orphan's Week
Description of Holiday: Look, being an Orphan sucks, but it's a common occurrence on Manta Carlos. On this day, not only are Orphans shown to prospective parents, but they can be handed off for a week in what is like a big sibling program. (Note that this wouldn't be lax, the person wishing to be a "big sibling" for an orphan would have been checked thoroughly, nor do they get to take the child home. Safety precautions 'n' all).

Name and Date of Holiday: The Day of the Coven - April 30/Walpurgisnacht
Description of Holiday: Walpurgisnacht has always been a relevant day for magic users. On The Day of the Coven, mages of all kinds attend a sort of pilgrimage at the highest peak of the Manta Carlos forest, right at the edge of the Forbidden Forest. Here, the mages practice their magic free of violence and judgment. It is said that any that attempt to break the unspoken rule of harmony during The Day of the Coven are used as sacrifices to the gods.

Name and Date of Holiday: Intergalactic Peace Day, June 20
Description of Holiday:

A day commemorating the Manta Carlos City Council starting relations with the Intergalactic Council. This was the very day when a member of the Intergalactic Council member became a Manta Carlos minister, as well. During this day, many alien students tour Starlight Academy and SA students could tour their schools as well. There are all day seminars about space politics, engineering, and medicine.

Name and Date of Holiday: May 15 - Angels and Demons Day
Description of Holiday: A day celebrating relations between angels and demons. The two races, sterotypically at odds, come together on this day to break tradition and live in harmony. Other races are free to participate and spread peace to all.

Name and Date of Holiday: Winter Solstice - Glaciokinesis Appreciation Day
Description of Holiday: This day is dedicated not only to the beginning of winter, but also to ice magic users and their powers. There are typically multiple individual meeting places and celebrations held across the island, including dances, parties, and parades, all winter-themed. Many ice magic users contribute to helping set up, decorate, and even perform magic for these events. At the end of the day, the glaciokinetics band together to bring forth the first snow of the season.

Name and Date of Holiday: August 2- Camp Carlos
Description of Holiday: Participants hold an annual overnight camp on this day out in the woods to celebrate unity. Tents are set up in a large circle in a clearing, a bonfire is lit, ghost stories are told, activities are held, particularly for children, and who knows what else could happen in a dark forest with a group of magical friends, enemies and of course total strangers.
