Appearance: Andrello is, for the most part, normal in appearance. He possesses two forms, but prefers to use his human one for almost everything nowadays.
Human Form: Andre's Human Form is what would be expected from a man over fifty years of age. His body remains strong and muscular from fitness, his muscle definition clear in his legs and arms. His stomach has rounded out over the years though, and his thighs have thickened. His skin is a tan color, and contains some wrinkles on the face. Andre's hair was a medium-brown pigment, but is now streaked with silvery patches. His facial hair is shaven but noticeable. His eyes are the only thing which tell him apart from other humans - they are bright red and sparkle in the sunlight. For this reason, he prefers to wear sunglasses or tinted reading glasses when around humans. Other items of clothing he regularly wears are loose T-shirts, knee-length black shorts, running shoes, hoodies and flip-flops.
Demon Form: In his Demon form, Andre looks ageless. His vibrant red complexion is unblemished and perpetually smooth. His hair turns jet black and thick. His muscle remains, although the body perfects itself in removing excess fat and touching up flaws with muscle. Cream-colored horns grow atop his head and his fingernails turn into sharpened claws. A thin red tail with a point on its tip sprouts on his lower back, and short fangs grow in his mouth. His eyes stay the same color. In this form, he will wear tighter, black clothes.
Personality:
Clever: While he is more book smart than street smart, everyone who knows him considers Andre to be clever. He reads a lot, so he has no shortage of facts and knowledge to share with anyone who will listen, as well as years of experience to back up his views.
Introverted: While his job requires interaction with people, they still tend to frustrate him. Particularly those who are human or angelic in species. He cannot be around crowds of people for too long or he will gradually become annoyed, nauseous or uncomfortable. However, talking to family, close friends or while working is completely within his comfort zone.
Easily stressed: When under pressure, Andre usually gets panicked and something goes wrong. Whether it be ordering the wrong coffee or impulsively killing someone, a mistake tends to be made.
Tired: Andre can now frequently be seen zoning out and staring into empty space, and around home drifting off to sleep. He needs coffee wake him up five times a day. His only other cure for tiredness is killing, which is much more effective and only required once every day or two.
Laid-back: Though his panicked state can be dangerous, Andre has a very relaxed personality which shows in his everyday life. At work, home and with known people in particular, he relaxes and rarely becomes angry.
Apathetic: Andre, although he is able to experience regular human emotions, cannot put himself in the position of others. If asked what emotion a person feels, he would reply correctly, but not be able to imagine how they feel. This is helpful when it comes to killing.
Healthy: In all definitions, Andrello is a very healthy man. He eats well, exercises frequently, visits the doctor regularly and gets more than enough sleep. His mental state is also quite good.
Observant: Andre loves witnessing drama and watching it unfold. His cleverness helps him to notice things and draw conclusions. However, his ageing resulted in slight memory troubles, so his conclusions are often drawn out of proportion nowadays.
Determined: He has strong willpower and once he sets a goal, he can work for a long time to accomplish it.
Experienced: Andre also has a lot of experience in life, helping him to make educated decisions about many things.
DEMON FORM: In his Demon Form, Andre becomes noticeably more malevolent, healthy, charismatic and calm.
Powers: Andre's powers are the same as the rest of his family's. They come from a group of Demons whose jobs were to infiltrate the Earth and feed on the weak. Therefore, their powers revolve around this need.
Power Sapping: Andre can sap power from others easily, which essentially fuels him. The most efficient way of using this power is killing someone, which fuels him for up to two days. Killing someone other than a Demon with a weapon/his claws, with poison/other indirect means or by completely draining them of energy successfully transfers their energy into him. The general rule is that if he is the reason someone is dead, he inherits all of their energy. If the killing was a joint effort, he will only receive the energy if he delivers the lethal blow or is the one who sets the trap which kills them. If it is undetermined who is the rightful killer of someone by nature itself, he will earn an even share of the power, even if the others involved with the murder are not Demons themselves. Energy cannot be created nor destroyed, so Andre gets more energy out of killing a powerful person than an exhausted one.
Another way Andre may sap energy from someone is through partial means, when he takes a share of a person's energy without killing them. A small share of energy, one that would give him one or two hours' boost, would result in a tingling sensation from the victim. It would not be unpleasant, but rather a feeling of weakness and vulnerability. A moderate share of energy would exhaust the victim, making them feel sleepy or even send them to sleep. This would fuel him for three to five hours. A larger share of energy would instantly knock an average human out, sending them into an unconscious state for varied lengths of time. This would fuel him from six hours up to a whole day depending on the victim. In order to power sap, Andre must take both hands of a person and look them straight in the eyes. Blinking has no effect on the process, nor does sleep, as people are weaker then and easier to drain. However, closed eyes when awake hinders or even prevents the process taking place. Andre must then focus on transferring the power. The process is very much a mental one.
He does not have to be in Demon Form to do this, although it is much easier this way due to the mental block his human form creates. Killing people is also much easier, mentally and physically, in Demon Form. Exhaustion to the point of death usually takes between four and seven days for a Demon, but a kill every one or two days, 1-2 large drains a day, at least a few half drains per day, 6-12 small drains per day or 5 cups of coffee a day make him stay awake and ultimately, alive.
Power Giving: In order to pay taxes, Andre's group of Demons must transfer energy to their leader weekly. To do this, the leader and the Demon must make a link for energy to transfer through. The process is the same as taking energy, except Andre must also focus so that a Demon to Demon energy transfer may take place. This power is also used to fuel young children who haven't mastered the skill of power sapping, at around seven years of age. Power Giving is not exclusive to Demons. Andre can do the same process and transfer energy to a human or other creature, as long as they allow it.
Species Abilities:
Shifting: Andre can easily and painlessly switch between his two forms by just concentrating in seconds. No dramatic processes occur, his bone structure stays the same but his body perfects itself and a few features grow or change color.
Increased Fitness: With the speed and strength of an Olympic athlete, Andre's boost in athleticism is exclusive to his Demon Form.
Emotion Blockers: In his Demon Form, Andre can block his emotions, allowing him to almost heartlessly kill someone.
Fireproof: Andre is immune to fire-based magic and fire itself.
Weaknesses:
Water: While not harmed by water itself, Andre is very sensitive to water-based magic.
Summoning: If a Witch, Wizard or any other spellcasting species attempts to summon him, he will be summoned.
Nature Magic: Demons use 'Dark Magic,' which goes against the forces of nature. Any creature wielding Natural Magic would be especially dangerous to Andre.
Angels: A Demon's polar opposite, Angels can be dangerous to them. This is balanced by the fact that they are also very dangerous to Angels.
Biography: Andrello Sinclair was born half a century ago in an oven-like city underneath the Earth's surface known to most as 'Hell,' and 'The Underworld' to some. His family were close associates of the leader, a Demon whose face was forever concealed by a wide-brimmed black top hat which cast shadows over their face. Consequently, his family was considered very respectable in the Demonic world.
He grew up in his own time, savouring his moments as a powerless Demon child but waiting for they day he'd finally be able to venture into the human world and continue the work that the rest of the Demons were already doing.
When he hit age seven, Andre learnt to sap power around same time as most, and eagerly went into the human world for short periods of time, sapping just small amounts of power from humans. Eventually he started to attend a human school so he could isolate students and either sap or drain their energy.
When he grew up and reached age 26, he met a woman who changed his life. She was only 20 at the time, but they fell in love and went on to get married and have a child. The baby boy's name was Alex, and they loved him with alł their hearts. After a year had passed, the leader sent them a note. Alex had been selected as that year's sacrifice to the leader himself.
In Andre's Hell, the leader chose one young child to be sacrificed every year. Each time this ritual was performed, the leader became more powerful, and so did the city. Usually, the parents of the child are very honoured to have their child selected, as it meant they were becoming part of the immortal leader's spirit. Andre and his wife Deana were not pleased. They wanted their child alive and well, so they planned to run away and live as humans.
Their plan played out successfully, with the two of them smuggling Alex into the human world. Or so they thought. After just a week of this, the day of the sacrifice, the leader sent his best Demons out to find the runaway family. They were quickly tracked down with the help of a Summoning Spell, and while they attempted to protect Alex with their lives, it wasn't enough and the Demons sneakily took Alex from them and killed him in front of their pleading eyes.
Of course, the leader was not happy his sacrifice had been wasted and unleashed his anger on his Demons, allowing Andre and Deana to escape unscathed.
The two of them began normal human lives in the city, discovering that coffee could be a weaker substitute for energy sapping. They still took on Demon Form occasionally, but retired from being killers. Andre completed educational courses and went on to become a fully qualified chiropractor. Deana became a police officer and fought crime.
When the two of them felt they were ready, they had a second child named Erinella. She was enough for them and they raised her with just memories of their demonic past.
When their child turned twelve, a mysterious person arrived at their door. They claimed to be a scout for a prestigious school called Starlight Academy, and offered an invitation to Erinella. After finding out that they were welcomed too, the family decided to move there. They have never again been contacted from their old leader, strangely enough, and they believe they have got away with their escape. Andre is going to Manta Carlos a few days before Deana and Erinella to ensure the place is safe enough for them.

Occupational Details: Andre was a full-time Demon up until he escaped from his Hell. This meant that he took on Demon Form at almost all times apart from when hunting for energy. Once he escaped, he caught up on schooling and completed a degree in science, which assisted him in becoming a chiropractor. He opened Manta Carlos Chiropractic upon arrival at the island, having already bought the land. He is set to commence work as soon as possible. Now, he uses his energy sapping to send patients to sleep or make them more drowsy occasionally, but usually he does not utilise his power nor switch to his Demon Form.
