Name: Parker
Age: Around 19
Birthday: Unknown
Gender: Female
Species: Human
Category: Student
Class: College
Grade: 1st Year
College Major: Undecided
Appearance Description:
If Parker had to be described in one word, that word would be dark. From her big almond-shaped eyes to her darkly-tanned latina skin, she’s as brown as a chocolate bar. Her medium-length hair is choppy and dark brown, too. Of course, not everything about her is dark--her big smile is brighter than the sun. As for her figure, Parker stands at 5’8” and weighs 146 pounds. Her figure resembles that of a runner; she’s lean, with muscular definition on her legs and stomach. Though, it’s hard to distinguish her body type since the baggy clothes and jeans she wears disguise her.
Personality Description:
Parker can be quiet around strangers when she isn’t engaging in a conversation. She’s a naturally amicable person who likes to make friends, but starting conversations feels awkward to her. She doesn’t like small talk and has a hard time approaching others. Her solution? Drawing attention to herself. She has a flair for the dramatic and is willing to put on a show if it means garnering attention. As long as it gets others to approach her first, she’ll do it.
A spirit of adventure lives inside her. Energetic and always ready for the next adventure, she loves experiencing new things, seeing new places, meeting new people. On the other side of the spectrum, she has some commitment issues. If the world around her isn’t constantly moving and changing at a fast pace, she can’t be satisfied. She’s also more likely to actively seek out thrills or take part in risky situations.
Additionally, Parker herself is constantly moving. She enjoys sports and activities that involve physical activity. Though she doesn’t worry too much about staying fit, that is one positive side effect of her passion for active pastimes.
After living on the streets, Parker’s learned not to take many things for granted. Any kind gestures she accepts gratefully, and she’s sure to repay them twofold. Her generosity has little bounds. Because she’s so willing to give things to her friends, it’s surprising that she doesn’t spend much money on herself. She tries not to spend money on unnecessary things, like expensive clothes or jewelry. She’s learned to respect the little things in life, too, like a warm bed or a comfortable place to stay.
Parker is expressive. She experiences a wide range of emotions, and it shows. Her flaw of wearing her heart on her sleeve does have its drawbacks. When she's sad or mad, it's especially obvious. Tears will fall, hurtful words will be said. Sometimes it's better to bottle up your emotions.
Parker has an optimistic outlook on life. She sees the best in people and knows that tomorrow is always a new day; she isn't easily discouraged. She hopes for the best, but prepares for the worst, because she knows that not everything in the world goes right.
Powers:
Air Manipulation
Parker has the power to manipulate the air around her. She can rouse static air, or she can force a gust of wind to come to a halt. She can create a force field of outward-propelling winds to defend herself or others, or she can attack with a blade of air that slices through the sky (Although oxygen isn’t the most effective weapon). She can cause the atmosphere around here to move in any way she wants it to--at least, on a small scale. The air she can control is limited to that within a 15-foot radius of her or within the same room as her, and she can only control pre-existing air--she can’t create it. Additionally, she can’t create cyclones, tempests, or other disasters, and she can't create air vacuums or destroy air. Any time she controls air, she uses her own energy. Controlling the atmosphere continuously for hours could knock the wind out of her.
Biography:
Warning: Includes Noncon
The wilderness is no place for a child. There lies constant threats: disease, predators, the risk of starvation. No one is ever truly safe in the wilderness, no matter how much one thinks they are. But her family thought they were. In that moment, they were the most vulnerable. It took a death to teach them a lesson. After that, the widower took his daughter somewhere she could be safe.
The orphanage was no place for the child. No one would want a child that rowdy. No one would want a child so exotic. No one wanted Parker, but she stayed and she hoped. In waiting, she learned many things. Maths, english, and how to take care of herself. She learned how to become independent, then she yearned to become independent, then she became independent.
The streets were no place for the girl. She thought she could get by. She thought she could take care of herself. Then again, she didn’t really think it through. Hitchhiking wasn’t so bad. A lot of people were willing to give a ride to a young, pretty girl. Someone was willing to do more to that pretty, young girl. Parker thought the “rest stop” late at night was suspicious, but then it was too late. The sleazeball was on top of her in an instant. His fingers lingered on the waist of her pants. Parker’s innocence was saved by the gust of wind. She was still fully clothed when her whole body experienced a tingling sensation. He was violently thrown back, away from her body. It gave her the moment she needed to escape. It wasn’t until she made it to the next exit when she wondered how a breeze that strong could have gotten in the bathroom.
The world is no place for the different, they explained to Parker. They would take her where she could be safe.
