Pham Thi Anh Sang (Himiko)

Celestial Guardian Himiko ran towards the scene of a minor mugging, having heard a man cry out moments before a ping went out on her evildoer senses. She rushed towards the sensation, pausing briefly as she felt a different presence nearby. It took her off-guard, a feeling that this person was neither evil nor an abomination. No, they were something else. Perhaps. Another guardian? It so distracted her that she lost focus for a moment too long, losing track of the person she had been trying to track.

Himiko pouted. She hadn't even gotten her evildoer and the other guardian was already running away from her! Based off of her senses anyways. Fine, but if she wasn't going to fight evil today, she was at least going to meet another person like herself.

Quickly, she followed the other guardian's trail, trying to find a place to essentially box them in. She hadn't been to this part of the city that much so it was a bit of a struggle to strategically plan her movements. Not that she was really one for strategy at all usually anyways.

That was strange. All of a sudden, she heard somebody screaming at her, from the same direction as the other guardian she sensed. They had changed their mind, apparently, and Himiko was delighted. Well, assuming that they didn't want to fight or anything but that couldn't possibly be fair. They hadn't even been guardians for more than a week! There shouldn't have been any purges going on yet.

She ran around the corner until she found the person in question. "Hey! You're the one I'm sensing, right? Let's be friends so that we don't have to kill each other later!" Even now, the idea of death was quite foreign to her. Maybe it was because she had accepted on some level that death was a strange, wondrous thing. That came in the form of your former best friend turning into a rampaging T-rex and maiming one of your cousins for life. Yes, Himiko's grasp of death was a bit... Out there.

She gasped with indignity. "No! You can't just give away your regular name like that!" Himiko said, completely horrified by the lack of theatrics. "You have to make one up for yourself while you're like this! Like me! I'm Himiko, nice to meet you!"

"But yeah, I didn't think that the real world actually worked like Sailor Moon," she said excitedly. "I was just doing my homework and then bam! Here I am!" Granted, considering that the existence of powers was a thing, she should have expected something like this to come up eventually. Her very family was super big on magic.

She looked around but there didn't seem to be anybody else nearby. They were in a pretty secluded alleyway and all the traffic was passing in front of it. Nobody gave them another look; they were just normal on the island. Strange, but normal nonetheless.

"Oh, my family is super magic," Himiko said matter-of-factly. "It goes back all the way as far as we can tell. I've got some pretty cool powers when I'm normal, too!" She tilted her head curiously. "But so, like. Are you just normal normal when you're not like this, then?"
