Wong Ha Jung

The man with the hats was...ah, confusing was probably the best word for it. Unsettling was a close second but that was a rather biased impression in Wong Ha Jung's opinion. And going over the last thing that the man had said to him, the only thing he could really think was What? The way that he continued to look at him, though, was somewhat disturbing and did not help the counselor's current state of anxiety at all.

So, admittedly, Wong Ha Jung was kind of hiding behind that pink haired woman. Beside. Behind. One of those. He nodded his head a little when she asked if he was all right but didn't get to say much more about it before she excused herself. Just as well, there wasn't too much more that he could have said about it right then. I'm sorry, don't worry about me, I'm just a silly person, it's nothing new. Repetitive. He was already saying too much of that today and didn't really feel up to going on about it anymore. It was just...not good.

By the time that the woman had come back, however, he had pulled himself together enough give her a far less strained smile. He hoped so, anyways. "Wong Ha Jung," the man introduced himself. "Or Elijah. Some people call me that. Not too much around here but-" he trailed off with a soft laugh. He really hadn't been introducing himself like that as often as he was used to on the mainland, probably just because of how diverse the island was. Sometimes -well, often- it simply slipped his mind.

Orion was not easily deterred. Not by Wong's extremely visible anxiety at Orion's presence, or actions; and certainly not by the sour looks Yura was throwing his way. If the situation had been any less fun, then maybe he would have considered giving them their space, and Wong the time to not lose his mind. But what they perceived as annoying and intrusive, Orion interpreted as actually being pretty damn entertaining. It was his time on the town and he felt like enjoying himself, even if it was a little at the expense of this person or that.

"Oh, my name?"

Keeping up his air of eccentric disconnect, Orion plopped down on the bench as well, opposite Bunny and sandwiching Wong between the two of them. Not wanting to half-ass his action, Orion even threw an arm around the back of the bench like he was going to throw an arm around Wong's shoulders.

"I'm Orion. Pretty new around here. Sorta. And it's great to meet you, Bunny!"

He then leaned over to looks at Yura.

"And it's great to get your phone number too!"

Yura’s reaction was a deadpan look at Orion, turning around, and walking away. She also quickly pulled out her phone so that she could block his number. Or try to. He wasn’t using a cell phone, so she wasn’t sure if it would actually work…

“Nice to meet you, Wong,” Bunny said with a big smile. Yup, we’ve never met before, not once, never ever… Ah, the awkwardness of meeting someone she already knew while maintaining a different identity. She was very cautious about little details—the way she spoke, the way she moved—because she worried some little thing might tip him off that she was Lydia. Wong was a smart guy, and a psychologist even! She assumed he was just the type of person that would pick up those little details and potentially put the pieces together…

Bunny suddenly realized Yura was gone and managed to catch just a glimpse of her in the crowd.

“Ahhh Yura!!” Bunny suddenly called out as she jumped from the bench. She quickly whirled around to apologize profusely to Wong. “I’m sorry sorry sorry—but I gotta go catch up to her! I can’t leave without her!”

She then managed to calm herself down a little and put a big grin on her face. “But! I bet we’ll see each other again, okay? It was nice meeting you, Wong!”

She waved with both hands before quickly turning around and running after Yura. Yeah, of course she knew she’d see Wong again—she saw him every day at school. But would she actually meet him again as Bunny? Maybe it was better if she didn’t…

“Yura, where are you going?” Bunny asked as she caught up to her.

“If I didn’t leave, I was going to murder that guy,” Yura muttered under her breath.

…Now Bunny felt really bad about leaving Wong alone with that strange guy. Oops.

Wong Ha Jung

He blinked as Bunny got up suddenly to leave, feeling panic spike back as she made her apologies. What he really wanted to do was jump up and beg her to stay but they were in public and he didn't know her that well anyways. He didn't have the privilege of asking her to stay. So Wong Ha Jung just smiled hopelessly as she went after her friend, swallowing the panic down to a level that he could manage. The realization that he was left with that other man now hit him a moment later, just as this wave of nausea that caused him to throw up a bit in his mouth.

Worriedly, the counselor looked at him. It was rude to be staring, he knew, but he couldn't help it. Even though he wanted so badly to be polite and like people, he just couldn't operate that way while having a panic attack. It wasn't working and it wasn't going to work and just thinking about it was making him feel more bothered and more upset, and now he was sure that he was starting to sweat fountains. I think I should go, he thought, his voice sounding very small in his own head. I think I should really go.

"Um, it was nice to meet you," Wong Ha Jung still said to that man, sounding embarrassingly squeaky as he made a last ditch effort to be nice. "I-I'll just be going now, sorry!"

Just get away, just get away, just get away. He just wanted to find a good, abandoned place to have a breakdown. That was all. If he stayed any longer, he thought that he would probably have to leave in tears.

Just -ahhh...
