Demonic Student Union (DSU) Plotting

Aaand I couldn't really think of a lot of things to add to the protest thread at this point. It would have gotten repetitive, kind of like they do in real life. And it would be too easy if I made the CAE start some shit that got them in big trouble in public.

A few of you riffed on this whole DSU vs CAE thing, notably Nikki, who had Pandora getting attacked in her own home by a radical offshoot of the CAE. It hit the news, and I'm sure that the CAE has lost a lot of popular support by the end of the year. In the future if we do protests, it might be more fun to do the sort with a lot of symbolic gestures involved.

Meanwhile, the DSU is supposed to be doing a lot of other stuff. I think it'd be cool to have some threads focused more on Chloe's efforts at building up the demonic community.

First off, I want to try out a support group thread. This would be a meeting for those demons who are either in the closet as being demons, or who have unnatural urges owing to their demonic heritage that they have to cope with. These two things generally go hand in hand. It would be a judgement-free space for people to vent about the taboo things they've felt or done - though Chloe would be obligated to report if they were involved in a currently unsolved on-island murder, and she would be up-front about this at the meeting itself. The time and location of the meeting would only be disclosed by email, to people who reached out to Chloe first through a school email address.

Anyone interested in doing something like that?

Secondly, I was thinking we could do a thread or two for some of those informal get-togethers, but I'm not sure what sort of get-together we should have. One option is for Chloe to bring people along to party at Gomorrah for a bit, but as fun as this would be, it would only be open to the college-age members of the club - this would follow a group thread no-posting-order format with everyone running around and doing dumb stuff at the club. Another option is for them to have dinner together at some restaurant - again, we would have no posting order, but all the members involved would be having a big lively conversation.

Any interest in either of those two get-together ideas? Any thoughts or suggestions?

Also I finally moved the roster for this club from the old dead claims thread to this thread. Starting now you should post here if you want you don't see your character on the roster and you want them there.

Any more comments about those ideas for threads I mentioned earlier? I'd be super down for a family friendly social gathering, so the spider kids could tag along - and Chloe would try to bring them.

I'm also considering a thread with @Pallas in which Chloe tells Nasci to never show up to a meeting again, set after Nasci gets out of jail for attacking Pandora. Chloe would justify it as an extension of the restraining order keeping Nasci away from Pandora and her daughters, the spider girls. That's something the other members might have heard about. Maybe there's some rumors floating around about it.

@Kyros hell yeah! Chloe will be v surprised that Emily is an incubus, if she even chooses to share anything - and it will probably be structured in such a way that she doesn't need to share. I might wait a little bit longer for people to get a chance to bite on this thread and also so i can figure out how to structure it lmao

@Ninjapa maybe Chloe might reach out to Deana for a handful of reasons. For one, she'd be able to clear up some misconceptions about the relationship between demons and the law for the general public. On the other hand, she could be a great contact for any demon students considering going into law enforcement - and Chloe would think it's important for people like Deana to be on the force.

So, if she's willing, Chloe might invite her to talk at two events - one where she can give a general presentation about demons and law enforcement for the general public, and one more informal thing where she can talk to the DSU. Chloe could help her with the presentation, and she'd probably cover her lunch and/or dinner somewhere nice as a thank you.

As for the 12-year-old, she should definitely be able to join if Kadakism's character Dalia can. I'll probably think more about how Chloe could structure the general meetings to be more kid-friendly and get back to you all on that.
