Madhukar Bhattacharya

Oh shit. Oh shit oh shit oh shit. Madhukar, with the ease of somebody far too used to doing this, quickly swept the tiny bodies into a nearby drain after looking to see if anybody was nearby. Everybody seemed to have cleared out, too busied by the cold and snow to bother sticking around for longer than they needed. He took a few of his pomegranates and smashed them against the ground, giving an excuse for the red that was just everywhere.

"Er, that didn't happen, okay?" he said towards where he thought the other person being chased was at. "I really don't want to go to jail for that."

Linael "Lina"
Linael blinked down at the human as he spoke before fluttering down to him warily. "Th-thank you..." she just told him instead, her voice soft and barely heard in her tiny form. "I won't tell... so please don't hurt me, too," she added softly, glancing around before fluttering down to his height where he could see the little light of the fairy. A tiny figure was inside the little light. She was a bit shorter than most fairies.

Linael "Lina"
Tilting her head, she blinked at the human as he told her goodbye but just as he was turning, she zipped to him and clung to his shirt. "No, wait, please," she begged. She looked up at him with a terrified gaze. "There's still more of them... I'm certain they'll find me soon. Don't let them take me back," she pleaded softly. Just as she had thought, the other dark fae showed up at their comrades having been killed off. She squeaked in fear and immediately hid in the human's coat.

Madhukar Bhattacharya

"Hey now-" He cut himself off, glancing around warily. He wanted to be out of the area before anybody else saw what he had done. That mattered more to him than the fact that there was a fae in his coat and his hair was standing up on the back of his neck from it. "Whatever, I'm getting out of here." He didn't stop walking until he and his cart were about twenty minutes out and even then, after another thought, he decided to go even further, just thanking God that he hadn't been too close to his apartment when the.... incident had happened.

Linael "Lina"
Linael stayed hidden for quite some time before finally peeking out after he stopped a second time, looking around worriedly. "Are they gone?" she asked softly. She looked up at her 'guardian' and gently but slowly flew out of his coat. "I... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you kill them... I honestly wasn't expecting any help," she murmurs, sitting down on his shoulder and looking down sadly.

He exhaled, still not stopping. "Yeah, well," he muttered, "what's done is done." Personally, Madhukar felt awful for having killed them. It felt a little like flying in the face of everything he'd done on the island, as if he had learned nothing since his years of being out in the field playing guerrilla tactics on fae nobles. He twitched a bit when she landed on his shoulder but refrained from making any other moves. God only knew he was acting too quickly that day.

"You should probably head off to the police or something if you really want them to stop coming after you," he said. "But, er, yeah, let's forget that this thing happened." He could figure out exactly how guilty he felt later. But for the time. Immediate concerns came first.

Linael "Lina"
Linael looked up at the human. She could tell he felt guilty and her elf-like ears folded some in sadness. Maybe he was like her? She thought back to the way he stabbed the dark fae and shook her head. No... probably not. But... she thought for a moment before fluttering up and tugging on his coat shoulder. "Come... I want to show you something," she tells him softly. She'd never done this before and she wasn't fond of doing it considering who they were... but she couldn't just let him keep feeling guilty like this.

Linael "Lina"
Linael blinked at the strange human in curiosity before shaking her head. "No, it won't. And if you'd like, after I'm done, I can leave you alone, too..." she murmured but tugged gently again. To be honest, he was probably barely feeling the tug. "But we have to go back to them now, otherwise it won't work," she told him, alighting on his shoulder once more now.
