Traditionally, families would court a dola's good graces at the birth of a child to have the dola look after the child and help them live a good, prosperous life. While a dola might be compared to a guardian angel, angels are traditionally seen as benevolent, where as a neglected dola might turn spiteful. As a result, Anielka has several minor magical traits related to her species.

Minor Shapeshifting: Dola have minor shapeshifting abilities, though the forms are always limited to a humanoid form, a cat, or a mouse. Anielka is only capable of shapeshifting between a cat and human form.
Her human form seems to be the default but Anielka turns into a cat when frightened, or irritated. Anielka is not so good at shapeshifting; in fact, she is pretty terrible at it. Anielka's cat ears are an unfortunate side effect of having a difficult time. While the transition between human-cat is quick, it can take Anielka anywhere from fifteen minutes to an hour to get the energy to transform back into a person.

It is possible to bind Anielka to a single person. If this occurred, Anielka's powers would only affect that individual and no one else. Binding requires a formal contract or ritual and Anielka is not fond of this idea. However, binding would mean that her powers are fully functional and significantly stronger for the individual.

Sight: Aniekla can see flashes of past actions that may influence an individual. However, she may not understand the context.
For example, Anielka might foresee a person being late for work, getting stuck in traffic, and taking a wrong exit. She does not know what conditions caused the person to become late or what may have caused the traffic accident, but she can see these events in something of a stream.
Anielka also has the limited vision to see the future.
However, Anielka cannot control what she sees. She cannot think, I want to look at Lochlann's last relationship, and get information specific to it. The flashes are typically random and intrusive.

This is partly dependent on mood. Aniekla in a happy mood is more likely to bring good look and fortune to someone--say, finding out that your lunch was on special and was half-off today. When she's in a bad mood, it's more likely to include things like stepping in a puddle and discovering a hole in your shoe.
At this time, this is a passive ability. With training ( a minimum of five completed threads), Anielka could learn to control her influence to be larger in scale. Anielka might be able to actively control her influence to achieve a specific object, for example, help a certain individual get a job.
Her powers typically require an intense mood shift. When/if Anielka learns to control them, Anielka will be limited in the use of her powers by energy. She will become tired, sluggish, and need a large period of rest after performing a large action.

Anielka was supposed to be the fate of a young man named Jacob. However, Anielka was a young fate herself. She was supposed to be watching out for him, but instead, Anielka accidentally caused a toddler to kill another child through a series of unfortunate happenstance related to her powers.
That provided something of a dilemma. After all, both the child and Anielka were innocent, but they were also responsible for a change of fate. Anielka hated that she was being blamed for something out of her control and she hated the idea of having to deal with mortals and fate.
This was not proper behavior for a young fate. It was suggested that Anielka attend a mortal school. Unfortunately, Anielka could barely keep one shape or another. it's disastrous to see a cat with human hands or a girl with cat ears, so after a brief scandal in Krakow, Anielka was sent to cyber school with a young fae family passing as human. They had knowledge of Starlight Academy and contacted a recruiter to see if Anielka was elligable to recieve some training, and to help minimize the power mess ups.
