"The work of the righteous never ends."
Name: Reverend Aurelia Camryn Agna
Age: 3081
Birthday: 22nd of November.
Gender: self explanatory.
Category: Miscellaneous: Reverend Mother of Our Lady of Righteous Judgment Church at the Manta Carlos Strip
Appearance Description: Shoulder - length blond hair falls from her head, often tied up into a high bun with strips of hair left to fall down from the sides of her face. Her blue eyes are sharp, and her white skin fair. Every major part of her appearance can accurately be called sharp - her posture is stately and crisp, and she radiates a certain sense of fury. At a good 5'8, she has a hard to ignore presence. For a reverend, she looks more like a businesswoman - always found in formal attire and with a pair of nearly - rectangular glasses.
Personality Description: Aurelia is the epitome of a blind zealot at first glance - most know her from her fierce sermons and fiery objections to the nearby opulence at the strip, particularly the Sierra Madre Casino. While she does have both the zeal and fire to fit the bill, she is particularly shrewd and manipulative, and for a reverend is far too amoral to be normal. She is dedicated to her cause beyond all logical reasoning - for so long as it involves her cause, she cannot be swayed.
Her advanced age has given her wisdom but it also means that she has grown distant from the world. While approachable, she is all too focused on her cause to grow close to anyone. Despite all these however, she is noticeably tense at all times and insecure - and she has an air of desperation around her.
Powers:
Broken Divinity
Aurelia still has scraps of her former power as an angel - this manifests in the form of light manipulation, restorative / healing powers, flight, and durability. However, most of these are minor powers presently, having weakened from long disuse. Her main power from here is angelic suggestion, a power that lets her observe and whisper directly into a person's soul. While she cannot force a person to do anything against their will, she can convince that will to bend most of the time with her suggestive powers and naturally dominant personality. Most often she appears in the guise of a conscience, nudging people into misguided absolution.
Her light manipulation allows her to bend light for invisibility, illusions and should need be, intense rays of blinding and searing light. Sadly, years and years of atrophy have reduced her powers, from being capable of purging entire plains and fields to simply being capable of smiting people and small houses at most.
She's basically your average metahuman in terms of durability - a bullet to the head won't put her down, but three might. She's tough enough to not go down from a car hit or something similar, but she is by no means immune to damage and still gets injured as a normal person would, though it takes around twice as much to inflict the same amount of damage on her.
As for healing, she can patch up minor wounds like shallow cuts in seconds, and grave injuries in up to hours such as a stab wound. However, she:
-cannot heal herself; she has to regenerate normally,
-cannot bring someone back from near - death injuries or anything close to lethality; one major wound is the most she can handle at a time and it is immensely exhausting for her,
-cannot just heal someone in the middle of anything because it takes a lot of focus.
Flight is done on wings of solid light, and she can only do it for ten minutes at most, less if she's carrying weight. She can fly up to twenty miles per hour on a good day, and on a windy or stormy day she can't fly properly at all. There is no upper limit to how far up she can climb however, but she refuses to go beyond fifty feet without good reason because anything higher has a high chance of killing her on fall impact.
Biography: Aurelia Camryn Agna is an angel in the sense that she is the scion and servant of a god - however, that god is long dead. She served in the ranks of the god Chydrego's army, in a realm other than the realm she currently lives in. For three thousand years she held high rank within that divine army, knowing nothing but war and the upholding of Chydrego's ways.
Then came an upheaval in that empyrean realm - other gods became discontent with their realms and began open war with one another. True to her position and role as leader and paragon of virtue, she fell upon the frontlines of that war, bringing wrath and purification to her enemies. It seemed that Aurelia and her allies were poised to win - but as a last - ditch effort to secure victory and / or spite Chydrego, another god sacrificed both itself and its followers to destroy that entire realm of existence. In the ensuing collapse, she fell to another realm entirely, in the process finding herself severed from the source of most of her power.
As she fell to Manta Carlos, she found herself aimless, her purpose for more than three thousand years now lost entirely. Destitute in a strange land, she at times slipped in and out of sanity from the sheer weight of losing everything in a single moment. For years she pointlessly wandered around, doing absolutely nothing relevant. Finally, twisted and warped by a desire to recover the past, she came to the conclusion that her loss of power and lack of access to her (now destroyed) home were due to her environs being so far from the codes and morals of Chydrego's realm.
Thus, she began to undertake a crusade of her own; she forced herself to learn the ways of life of man in Manta Carlos and set up a church where she could preach the ways of Chydrego. She reasoned that if she was separated from her home by the inherent corruption in where she was, then purification was the only solution. Progress was smooth for a while, but she grew impatient and began to implement some... creative means of persuasion.
She knows deep down that her quest is inevitably futile, but she refuses to surrender simply because without that, she has nothing to live for. The more she pushes through with it however, the more she is forced to face that fact. Her desperation is growing by the day, and living in The Strip makes it worse, what with all the debauchery and all the rumors going around that certain wishes in Manta Carlos do come true...
Additional Information:
Her church was burned down by Thaddeus Rector and Mikhainon.
