Where there is light, there is shadow. In the supernatural community there is a looming phantom that is only talked about in hushed whispers. Like a stealthy predator, some claim, they wait around every corner. They are the boogieman of gifted humans and magical beasts everywhere; the suit and tie agents who hide behind black sunglasses and a veil of mystery. Their leaders rule the corporate world while their agents watch from the darkness and strike, delivering their victims into the hands of deranged scientists for twisted experiments. Their agenda is hidden and their name is feared by all who know of their existence. They are SPECTER, the foremost sinister force in the supernatural community, and they are active on Manta Carlos.
SPECTER is an organization founded by the world's most influential business leaders for one purpose; to exploit the vast resource that is the supernatural world that exists alongside and within the mundane one. A corporation in and of itself, SPECTER's reach is massive. It is even rumored by some that they act in other dimensions entirely. However, while rumors persist of grand multi-planar armies, what is known about the group is that, at least here on earth their activities are more clandestine. SPECTER moves discreetly, acting as a shady, corporate boogieman that strikes from the shadows. So, what does all this mean for you or your character? What exactly is the SPECTER plot? Details are below...
Unlike the EITA plot Emy is cooking up which has an end point, the SPECTER plot is a continuous, mutable thing that will constantly change over time and never truely -end- unless people decide to end it. While SPECTER'S ultimate goals are massively ambitious due to the sandbox nature of the site when it comes to their activities on Manta Carlos and indeed the entirety of Earth SPECTER'S plans are much more...well...corporate in nature. The SPECTER plot is not one continuous storyline with a single end point, but rather a series of many plots and events that will be created as the organization makes more moves and people get involved. While there is a loose chain of events planned, they are not bible and I intend to take ideas and get totally unrelated SPECTER-based plots moving with interested parties.
SPECTER will, more or less, act as a continual, antagonistic force that will be constantly instigating new plots that could involve different people then the previous ones. By being in one SPECTER-related plot, you are not automatically in all the others. SPECTER is not so much one plot as it is a plot device for members and interested parties to create and forge their own plots as they see fit. So, with that in mind, I will get to a few important roles that need to be filled in SPECTER to get things moving as well as listing the current SPECTER plots in place..
WHAT KIND OF PLOTS CAN SPECTER CREATE?
So, you want to plot with SPECTER, but don't know where to start? What roles can the organization fill for your character's needs? The answer really depends on your character. For villainous characters and the easily manipulated/swayed, SPECTER can be a group that you could potentially join. For most characters, though, SPECTER will likely play the role of the antagonist. Simply put, if you want to put your character through hell, SPECTER is likely a good candidate to do it. As a corporate organization out to exploit the supernatural resources of the world, SPECTER can do almost anything you need them to. However, most SPECTER-related plots will involve them using students and/or their powers for profit, power-grabbing and other nefarious ends.
Kidnappings, experimentation, and the harnessing of student's powers for selfish gain are all the kinds of things that SPECTER can and will do. While the current SPECTER plot doesn't seem to have any "heroes" yet, I eventually have plan to have SPECTER to cause enough of a stir to eventually get a small band of heroic-ly minded students together and possibly allied with Joshua and the Antoinette to make life uncomfortable for SPECTER and hinder their efforts both on manta carlos, but also on other worlds. Ultimately, I'd like to see an "anti-SPECTER resistance" club formed at the school, with the members partaking on semi-regular adventures against SPECTER, though for such a reaction to occur SPECTER itself must first act. So, with that in mind, if you have a hero who would be interested in being a member of an anti-SPECTER movement, a villain who would be interested in joining(or destroying) them, or somebody who you just want to put through hell and possibly get kidnapped, experimented on or worse...please, consider posting here in this thread with your ideas for SPECTER plots!
IMPORTANT ROLES IN SPECTER
While SPECTER'S membership is starting to grow, it could really use some certain characters to flesh out it's ranks and provide for more plot opportunists. If you are looking to make a new character and want to try a villain, or have a character you think would fit well in SPECTER, there are a few roles that need to be filled. I have them listed below..
THE LEADERSHIp- The true leadership of specter who controls the corporate executives that founded the group through mind-control powers. This is Alice Mordrake, and thus is a taken role that is simply listed for reference.

THE ADMINISTRATORS- While Alice is the mastermind of SPECTER, it has other leaders beneath her who have a significant degree of autonomy in their actions. These people should be corporate/business-minded and corrupt. They also should have, during some point in their past, been a successful SPECTER agent as admins are recruited from the ranks of SPECTER's agents. Other then that, all their details, their personalities, histories, powers ect.. are up to you. I do not want too many of these, and for now only really desire one, as SPECTER doesn't have enough member characters on the site yet to demand more then one of these be played. However, having one around would be nice.

THE MOLE- This person is a SPECTER agent who has taken up a job as a teacher at Starlight Academy. Their personality, history, powers and what class(es) they teach are entirely up to you to decide, however, they must be a member of SPECTER and must also be a teacher. They also would actively hide their involvement with SPECTER both from students and the rest of the staff, and would likely be a very deceptive person and a naturally good liar. Their primary function would be to have an insider's view of the school that can be used to both gather intelligence but also provide access and aid to other SPECTER agents if/when the need arises for them to take actions in the academy. This person would be GREAT to have around so if you want to make a Teacher or a villain please consider taking this on!

THE AGENTS- Agents, the eyes, ears and enforcers of SPECTER. Agents are the ones who do the dirty work of the corrupt corporate executives that run SPECTER and it's ruthless admins. Agents vary in experience, skill and power and actually have a formal ranking system. S-Rank agents are the strongest and most experienced and skilled, with A-Rank agents beneath them and then B and C-Rank agents filling out the lower wrungs. Finally, SPECTER keeps around a supply of disposable grunt soldiers, too, though they generally are not trusted with the sensitive missions Agents are and are primarily used as extra muscle.
Agents are generally gifted humans or magical creatures, though in rare cases particularly skilled mundane humans will be allowed entrance into the ranks of the agents. In the SPECTER plots, agents will have a massive role and will often act as the overt, primary antagonists. Simply put, if there is a kidnapping, they will be the ones doing it. If there is an attack on a student(s) it will be an agent carrying it out. If you like to be a villain and be at the center of the action, consider making an Agent or having an exsisting character join their ranks!

THE SCIENTISTS- In addition to having many agents, SPECTER also employs legions of scientists. Brilliant and sometimes twisted minds, SPECTER'S researchers are the best and the brightest....but also must be -ok- with doing work others may call wrong. While not all SPECTER scientists are mad, they are all ok with doing morally questionable research and work. Other than this factor, their details are up to create, and unlike agents who usually are gifted or magical a SPECTER scientist is just as likely to be totally mundane as they are gifted or a magical creature. SPECTER scientists will generally be involved in experimentation related plots that will be likely to come out, though they can certainly branch out!

What starts with manipulaton will eventually culiminate in a much darker saga in which Oliver's powers are abused by SPECTER for some very nefarious purposes!

After finding out about his technology nullifying powers Alice will stop at nothing to defeat Joshua for good. To that end she will start by sending agents after him, however as her efforts only meet frustrated failure the stakes are raised when Joshua's DNA reveals new secrets and possibly a new threat to SPECTER'S power base!
