The fairytales referenced here are the Twelve Dancing Princesses, The Snow Queen, Snow White, and Sleeping Beauty.

Aurélie Fée Perrault

For a single day, that self named princess with inhuman blood would hold the title of Snow White. Truly, this abomination was a perfect fit to such a mold. What a pity it was that beauty could be marred in this grievous way. Yet at the same time, for Aurélie's purposes, it was a brilliant stroke of fortune.

While her twisted Snow White sat in the sunlight, the gilded young lady wove the fiction upon it, wholly unseen. On Aurélie herself was a tapestry of fairy tales already in place. She wore the enchanted invisibility cloak from Die zertanzten Schuhe and the mantle of the Snow Queen from Snedronningen. Both were insubstantial but their powers accepted her anyways. Perhaps the fox would be able to scent her presence. Perhaps it would not. In any case, Aurélie knew that she was safe. It was minutes to noon.

...skin as white as snow, lips as red as blood, and hair as black as ebony.

In the original tale of Sneewittchen, it was a blessing. Here, Aurélie used it as a curse. There would be no dark Queen Krimhilde in this story, however. The magnitude of that woman's failures were too great to include her. Instead, there was only dear Adrian hidden atop the nearby tower, scrying for any potential trespassers. Aurélie would suffer no other witnesses to her craft.

And take another one, my dear, she thought in distaste to that fox. There was really no reason for such half humans to exist. Honoring her good ancestor, Aurélie took the next curse from La Belle au bois dormant.

The Princess should have her hand pierced with a spindle and die.

The curse wrote itself over a thousand times at Aurélie's will, omitting the part where the princess should die of any singular wound. That would be too quick, that would be too painless. Though she was every inch the perfect aristocrat, Aurélie had learned that she could carry that triumph through the darkest acts as well. All it took was good enough grace.

And that, too, was another reason for why she so despised Megumi no Miya Sayuri Naishinnou. It was a disgrace for everything she stood for to see this thing masquerading as good blood. Not even its temperament was proper, from what she and her sister had seen.

The rooftop froze solid.

How could I be so reckless! Sayuri thought to herself as she sat seemingly alone on the roof, contemplating her latest defeat. She had tried to assault the Genocide Mistress herself, but came up terribly short. What she thought was a SPECTER lair had turned out to be a trap, and now Sayuri was left with a terrible gash across her arm where -something- had been inserted into her. She didn't know what that terrible fluid was, and quite frankly, she didn't care. She just wanted out of all of this. Out of this mission. Out of the war with the Genocide maiden. Out with all the terrible things in the world, She just wanted to be back there, beneath the cherry blossoms with her father. Yes..the emperor. He could see her face right now. The powerful yet kind kitsune...how she longed for the warmth of his nine tails against her skin.

Yet, she knew she could have none of this. Sayuri let out a deep sigh, and gazed down at the ugly wound that had scabbed over on her arm. It was a sign of her failure, her constant losses against this Alice Mordrake, little did she know, however, that both Alice another soul would prove to be her downfall...Above it all, invisible eyes watched. A Yata Garasu unit, with it's cloaking device keeping it hidden, circled endlessly, feeding a view of Sayuri to it's mistress...

——-

In the chamber of her SPECTER lair, Alice Mordrake watched with twisted glee as she watched Aurellie's murder come into place. Indeed, Alice had arranged the entire thing herself, a fact she was quite proud of. While she gave Aurellie free reign to do as she wished, she had ordered the murder herself, as this foolish fox and her empire of Kitsunemori was a threat Alice could not let exsist.

Alice let out a twisted giggle as she sat surrounded by anime plushies, twirling her fingers through her long blond hair as she watched. "Oh Sayuri...now you'll learn why you never cross the Maiden of Genocide!" Alice exclaimed excitedly as the Yata unit continued it's feed.

———

Right as Sayuri's mind wandered to thoughts of her father..something happened. She felt a cold chill down her black-furred tail. A slight icy breeze whipped her long black hair around and the ground beneath her became solid ice. What the hell!? Sayuri thought to herself at the sudden change in the environment. Could this be Alice? Is she trying to finish me off!? She continued to think as she immediately lept to her feat and withdrew her katana.

"Whoever did this, show your self at once! If your with SPECTER I'll tell you this...I'm not going down without a fight!!" Sayuri exclaimed, passion in her voice as adrenalin flowed through her veins. She clutched her blade tight, anticipating the sure to come attack...

Aurélie Fée Perrault

Aurélie ignored the fox's declaration, seeing that it was the word of a silly, frightened child. Less than a child, she would say, only that would seem to degrade the value of real human children. An animal, then. She viewed it with dark amusement, confident that its bravado would be in complete vain.

Balanced perfectly on the ice, the still invisible young lady strode towards the abomination, adjusting the fairy tales in place even more to suit her exact expectations. With each second that passed, the scene on the roof top flickered, portions of it shifting to the interior of the Snow Queen's palace. Once the warped reality had pieced itself together, nobody besides those who were already standing in that area would be able to see either the palace or what was happening.

Oh, Aurélie was well enough aware that Alice Mordrake was most likely looking in on this encounter. That was why she had set the focal point of the warped space just a foot above her head, effectively blocking out the entire world above that limit. The task at hand promised to be quite messy and even if she was invisible, the golden haired young lady wanted absolutely no recordings of this. The two of them might be allies but paranoia had always served Aurélie well in the past.

With a glance, the young lady caused the walls and floor of the Snow Queen's palace to erupt in delicate looking spikes, all of which were a foot and a half in length and far sturdier than their appearance suggested. She herself, having taken on the mantle of this elemental queen, was entirely immune to them. So because of this, she spared no empty space for herself and let the needles pass through her harmlessly.

She was not particularly worried about the fox's weapon -it looked too young to have any mastery of it, anyways. However, she saw no reason why she should let it retain it. At her silent command, a number of needles shot up straight at its hands in an attempt to knock the sword away.

Damn it! Sayuri thought to herself as the scenery changed again...this time to the interior of a castle? What the hell kind of power is this!? She continued to think as needles appeared all around her. Gracefully dodging the few that erupted near her feet, Sayuri gazed around to find who could possibly be causing this, but yet nobody could be found. "You coward!" She yelled out to the empty castle. "Come out and show yourself!" However, Sayuri knew full well her cries would be in vain. She had no choice but to use that technique. Focusing her mind, she created a swift hand seal and prepared to drag everybody in the area into a massive illusion...but to her horror as soon as she tried to use the ability she felt a sharp pain jolt through her body and head, and for some reason she could not use her powers!

In her mind, she could hear the childish giggling of the Genocide Maiden. It was maddening. If your hearing this, know it's simply a recording that I've placed in the nanobots that are now coursing through your veins.
They are wonderful things, really...they cut off all your powers, and have another special function I can't tell you just yet! Have fun!
The pre-recorded voice of Alice Mordrake said in Sayuri's mind with a giggle. Alice...you bitch...I see what your doing now...but I won't let you....I won't let whoever you've sent to kill me win! Sayuri continued to think to herself.

——

Back in her lair, Alice screamed out with rage as the view from her Yata unit went blank. "Can't Aurellie let me have fuuunnn!?" Alice whined, pouting and throwing one of her large anime plushies against the floor. Seeing no further reason to sit around and watch nothing she got up from her seat and walked off to go to her personal arcade. Videogames, after all, always helped to pass the time...right?

——

In the frozen castle, Sayuri's confidence was wavering. No illusion powers meant she was sure to lose against this invisible foe, but part of her would not back down. Even though this fight was looking more and more like suicide, she would make it one hell of a battle! However, despite her resolution, such an engagement was not ment to be. To Sayuri's surprise, several of the needles under her feet shot up, piercing her sword-hand. The sound of her sword dropping to the ground filled the Fox's ears as blood splattered across the frozen ground. "Damn you!" She shouted out to her invisible foe. Now, it seemed like there really was no hope...or was there. She knew Kitsunemori was still around...even if she fell, they would send more after her. Her great Empire would not lose....they would not let Wonderland consume all of reality...would they? Sayuri's mind started to fill with fears and worries...of what would become of her world without her.....indeed, it seemed she feared her own death less then she did the fate of the multiverse....

Aurélie Fée Perrault

Ice glossed over her body and clothes like a second skin. It would keep her clean of blood. Aurélie did not normally execute her craft in such a personal way but an exception was made in this case since the fox had hit human four main points of disgust. First, that it was an animal which had the gall to claim some kind of humanity. Second, that it intruded on the noble sphere. Third, that it was the most arrogant and loathsome creature. Fourth, that true humans actually were made to serve this monstrosity.

Hmph. So it bleeds red after all. But as sullying as it was, there was still not nearly enough to satisfy the aristocrat's quiet rage. She called up chains from the ground, which wrapped themselves around the fox's wrists and ankles before yanking it down onto the bed of needles.

The Princess should have her hand pierced with a spindle and die.

The Princess should have her hand pierced with a spindle and die.

The Princess should have her...pierced with a spindle and die.

The Princess should have her...pierced...and die.

Just two omissions were what Aurélie needed. The curse, eager to work its course, had been given enough of her will to know that the needles were only the introduction to her vengeance. It took the edits willingly.

And this, this marked the point where the gilded young lady took her aristocratic grace and let it carry her as she ventured deep into depravity.

It was certainly clear to Sayuri that she was finished. As icy chains bound her wrists and legs, there was no hope left for the princess of Kitsunemori. However, in all of this, there is one thing she could control....how she died...and she was't going to let her life be claimed by somebody else. No, suicide, she reckoned, was more honorable a death, so despite the fact she could not ritually kill herself, she decided to take the only route she knew; she bit her tongue, hard. She slammed her teeth right through the pink fleshy apendage, causing blood to flow down her throat She tried to take a deep breath through her mouth, hoping to choak herself to death on her own blood...she would not let her life be claimed by another! Yet, to her suprise, the flow of blood stopped, and she didn't choak. What the hell!? Sayuri thought to herself in disgust. Just then her head filled with that same diabolical giggeling....Alice...I should have known...you'd want to put me through torture! Sayuri thought to herself. Finally realizing that Miss Mordrake had made every method of escape impossible, Sayuri had no choice but to try and get through what was to come...

As she was pulled downward, she could feel the spikes peirce her flesh. Her tail was first. countless needles all burst right through the furry appendage, sending blood spurting all over her back. She winced in pain, unable to scream out due to the damage she did to her own tongue. The needles, however, didn't stop there. After her tail became nothing more then a shredded rag, the needles pierced through her legs and arms, blood spraying out all over the room. She cried out in the only way she could with her ruined tongue as her kimono was stained a bright shade of crimson red.

Father...I've failed you...She thought to herself as pain rushed through every part of her body. Kitsunemori...I've failed you... She continued to think to herself as the pain only got worse. If' I'm to die...though...can I at least go back there...under the cheery blossoms? Will you at least allow me that great kami? Or has my failure dishonored me too much for such a fate? Sayuri continued to think to herself, tears welling up in her eyes as the pain got worse...

An icy athame formed in Aurélie's hands, excluded from the effect of the invisibility cloak. Without a second thought, the aristocrat sliced at the fox's tail, taking it off entirely. Trophy taking was yet another habit that she had never developed but in this case there was really no telling the difference this tail and the tail of some other fox. Casually, she took the severed part and tossed it a little behind her, where it was impaled by a spike.

My, my. Anything else for the second strike? Thoughtfully, she brandished her knife. Since all wounds caused by the Snow Queen's magic froze over almost immediately, Aurélie knew that the fox could not possibly bleed out as she deliberated. Perhaps it will die of hypothermia instead. The idle thought crossed her mind as she systematically cut off the fox's hair next. Her perfectionism bled through even in this act. She was altogether uncaring that its ears were also being hacked away in the process, bit by bit. The process was sufficiently neat enough to suit her tastes, uniform, bloodied pieces falling on the ground before freezing.

The hair was surprisingly silky and soft. Wasted on an animal! She cropped it until there was only a slight, black fuzz remaining. As for what was left of the ears, Aurélie twisted the athame viciously at their bases, splattering some blood over its head before the wounds frosted over. Then, almost gently, the aristocrat put the tip of the athame to the corner of the fox's upper lip before digging it in and brutally dragging the blade across. She could have done more but the face was a curious thing. Ruining it now would only break the fox sooner and Aurélie was only getting started.

She did think it odd that the creature was so silent but peering through its lips, it seemed like the silly thing had tried to bite its tongue. For whatever reason, the action seemed to have been unsuccessful. Though she had to wonder about it, Aurélie paid it no mind for the time. While it would have been pleasant to have heard screams, it was also true that it could be rather annoying if her mood was ill.

Well, I suppose that I might have torn out its vocal cords anyways.

Was this what they felt like.. Sayuri thought to herself, tears welling up in her eyes as Aurellie's ice dug into her flesh and hair. Is this what all those innocents felt like...when the Genocide Maiden slaughtered them!? Sayuri's mind filled with horror as Aurellie started cutting away her hair bit by bit. This was hulimation. This was everything the princess feared. For so long, she had been used to being in power...to tasting victory. Yet now she was reduced to this...a mockery of what she was. A bleeding, flayed corpse of a Kitsune stripped of her pride and dignaty. She couln't help but let out tears. She was always strong in the past....or at least she put up a front that made her seem that way. However, now, her emotions where on full display.

Tears streamed down from her eyes as she finally faced reality...the Genocide Maiden had won. As this mysterious assailant began to chop off her ears slowly, Sayuri knew it was all over. In her mind she heard nothing but the giggling of a young girl. "Foolish Sayuri...you honestly think you could beat ME!? HAH!? What a naive little fox you are...Kitsunemori is destine to be destroyed...yes...your home, your family, will be sacrificed for wonderland! the same voice exclaimed in Sayuri's head as it started singing to itself. "lalalala one little fox dressed all in red...lalalala...poor little foxy laying dead! the voice continued to taunt as it lout another giggle. Her vision blurred by tears and blood, Sayuri looked up to the sky in desperation. She tried the best she could to block everything out...the pain, the Genocide Maiden continually taunting her from beyond time and space. In her mind, she did the onlu thing she could to be at peace...reminisce.

She went back to those times..with her father and her siblings...back in Kitsunemori, away from it all of this She remembered the warmth of her father's nine tails brushing against her skin. His kind smile. She remembers her siblings..how strong her older brother was...how kind and gentle her older sister acted...and how bouncy and playful her younger siblings where. There, in the world of her mind, she was standing with all of them again...in the garden in the Imperial palace. She saw herself kneeling at her father's feet...facing him with shame....yet...he didn't scold her. He knelt down to her level, with a kind smile on his face and a hand extended towards her. He asked her to come with him, and they where all there too...her brothers and sisters. All of them where smiling and happy to see her. There was a warmth behind them, and a bright field of cheery blossoms...all beyond the darkness she sat in. Not hesitating, she grabbed her father's hand and as a family they all walked off together...into that bright field of cherry blossoms.

Sayuri's mind was at peace and ready to finally move on, but her body still was wracked with pain. As blood splattered everywhere, Sayuri realized it would soon be all over..

——

In a time and dimension far away, a young girl who looked no older then 14 sat happily on an ebon throne. Dressed in elegant, form-flattering armor and wielding a gigantic scythe, her crimson eyes gazed at the scene of Sayuri's death through a tear in the fabric of reality. Brushing the bangs of her long blond hair out of her face she smiled wickedly as she watched the ice slowly crush Sayuri's body. "So...it ends...the chapter of Kitsunemori. It's too bad it had to end so quickly....fighting them was a fun game. No matter...there are always opportunities for more games...after all....every time is playtime in wonderland!" the girl said, letting out a deranged giggle as she started singing to herself. "lalalalalalalal." she sang happily to herself bouncing up and down in her throne as she jammed her feat into the bloody corpse of a nine-tailed fox clad in the robes of an emperor.

——

Meanwhile, back in the present era and dimension, Sayuri's life was just about over. As she ran off with her family in her mind, her body was on it's last leg. The pain was excruciating yet her mind was at ease. At least...at least I can be with all of you.. Sayuri thought to herself as tears continued to stream down her eyes. Now, it was only a matter of time before she was dead, and Sayuri had accepted this.

Aurélie Fée Perrault

An honorable death was a curious thing. If done properly enough, it could be a beautiful last dance. Aurélie could respect such a display. However in this situation, the aristocrat felt a little torn, due to her utter lack of empathy for this particular fool. For once, the golden haired young lady was at a loss. Did she want an honorable end, finally befitting the rank that this creature had claimed? Or did she want even more than that, a hysteric, undignified butchering that was appropriate for the demise of an abomination?

Had it feared enough yet? Aurélie wondered, drawing the tip of her weapon lightly over its abdomen. Not hard enough to do any damage, but it would be soon in coming. I wonder does it even understand the reason for this? And she did not mean the machinations of Alice Mordrake though of course her desires were instrumental bringing about this scenario. Aurélie was sullying her hands for more than just the sake of an ally. In truth, she served the idealized nobility. What did not belong should be purged and pruned.

Megumi no Miya Sayuri Naishinnou did not belong. So of course, it would have to be pruned from the tree. But should it be crushed under foot and be lost in the mud? Or should it be put into a vase and left to wilt beautifully? Rot was rot and either way would be satiate Aurélie's pride. So which was stronger, then? Her duty to the code she lived by or her hatred of all such foul things?

Frowning delicately to herself, the aristocrat stepped away from the fox in consideration. Yes, how foolish of her. Personal duty was obviously superior to personal hate. Only commoners afforded to reverse that order.

Oh, dear. Very well, then. I will give you this mercy, just this once.

At her command, a thousand spikes shot through the fox's body, killing it within seconds and turning it into little more than a grotesque heap of freezing lumps. Then, without paying much attention at all, Aurélie retrieved her trophy from where it had been put away and began the process of dismantling the scene.

By the time she was finished, there would be nothing left to find. And given just a little bit of time, nobody would even remember the haughty kitsune princess who claimed to come from a different time and place. That being would simply vanish from memory.

Time was an ordered entity. Perhaps that fox had finally crossed too many lines and the erasure of its existence was meant as divine retribution.

In any case, this was an end.
