(Say we should do like mini-time skips of things they're doing during the movie. Honestly had to start rewatching Expendables so I had an idea xD)

Now it was Leon's turn to crawl. Getting out from under the blanket Leon made his way to the foot of the bed and hit the light switch. As he got back under the blanket, Leon grabbed his sandwich and took a big bite out of it. He was pretty hungry and ate nearly the entire sandwich before the movie had even rolled up the previews.

Leon wasn't exactly one to talk during movies. He sat there and watched them, reacted when he thought something required it. As the movie went went Leon had finished his sandwich and stared at the monitor intensely. It was a really good movie! He couldn't help but have the sudden idea to act like some of them. Well, with a sword instead of a gun anyway.

At times he would glance down at Adelene to see if she was enjoying the movie. Then again given the types of movies she had and how excited she got when he had asked about it, he figured she was. At some point during the movie, when they were both finished with their sandwiches, Leon had pulled the blanket around them a little more. Without even realizing it or noticing, he had also wrapped his arm around Adelene and drew the blanket in more.

Throughout the entire movie an excited grin never left his face. It was one hell of a movie, and it was awesome!

Adelene wasn't the type to talk much while watching movies either, but this movie had too many explosions in it and those scenes excited her. She'd jump in her spot during one scene, giggle for another, or mumble soft comments like "This is so cool I need to learn how to do that..."

She also finished her share of the sandwiches quickly, so most of the duration of the movie, she was snuggling in the blanket, against the pillows, against Leon. She didn't mind his arm around her; actually, she felt comforted by them, with the thought in her head that she was safe inside Leon's arms.

Few minutes before the movie could end, she was already leaning against him, unconsciously hugging him back. She loved cuddles and she couldn't help herself.

...But... it didn't take too long for her to realize that. So when she did, she gingerly removed her arm from around Leon, before shifting to lean on the wall of pillows instead of him. If only it didn't seem awkward though, she'd really rather stay cuddling with him. Cuddles were her weakness. But it was embarrassing.

The movie eventually ended, and she stretched her arms and her back and flopped limp on the pillows. She sighed, before shooting Leon a grin. "That movie's awesome! Did you enjoy it?"

Leon was as excited throughout the movie as Adelene was. He hadn't even noticed that Adelene had started hugging him as well, his arm moved on its own and simply kept her close. It was weird. He rarely got that close with people and when he did he was fully aware. However this time he was completely unaware of anything. That is until Adelene had moved away from him.

As the movie ended he watched as Adelene dropped laying onto the pillows, Leon joining her and looking at back at her with his own grin being given. He felt like he should be running around doing things like in the movie. He was hyped up, but felt like he needed to settle down some.

"Hell yeah. Guns, explosions, and some of the best action actors in one place. How can you not like it?"

As Leon laid there next to Adelene all he could do was grin and look into her eyes. He didn't know what else to say at the time. His face slightly turned red as he continued to look at Adelene. It dawned on him that during the movie the two were....Hugging each other. He think it was called cuddling. It made him feel weird, in a good way. He enjoyed the feeling it gave.

"So....Umm...Sorry if it got a little awkward with the hugging. It felt nice."

Oh, how she wished he didn't point it out.

Adelene's face was instantly flushed red, her eyes averted quickly. This wasn't supposed to be so embarrassing but... the fact that she wanted more hugs was.

"Was it awkward..?" she mumbled. She attempted to look back at Leon, but it was suddenly not so easy to fix her eyes on his.

Too bad the storm was starting to pass, and it's calmed down a bit to a less heavy rain. She wanted Leon to stay for a bit more. She's been alone for days and his company was more than a relief to her.

She cleared her throat and sat up again to close her laptop, leaving it on standby for now. And then she pushed it towards the foot of the bed, and also put the empty plate on the nightstand for now. She huffed quietly and fell back down on the pillows.

"...I like hugs," she confessed, almost too shyly. "They're... warm and comforting. Almost makes it sad whenever I remember I lived without them for six years." She chuckled, hoping to give her words a lighter atmosphere, lighter impact, even though she was genuinely sad about it. Maybe those six years without close contact with other people were the reason she constantly searched for them now after all.

"...It did feel nice, didn't it?"

Leon raised an eyebrow as Adelene muttered something. Was it something he said again? Then again he had a feeling something he said was spot on as she went red and tried to hide it like she always does. Leon's grin became a smile though slightly different then normal.

He watched Adelene move to set the laptop away from them and place the plate on her nightstand while all he could think about was how they were sitting and how close they were during the movie. His own face showed a little more red to it as Adelene laid back down on the pillows.

"...I like hugs....It did feel nice, didn't it?"

He didn't know how to take those words. Her tone told him she missed the comfort, but the way she spoke told him something else. What he didn't know. He tried to think of what he could do to make it better, but his mind started drawing a blank. Then he got an idea.

Without even saying anything Leon moved closer to Adelene and put one arm around her and snuck his other arm under her, bringing Adelene into a hug. It was sudden even for him, but he thought it was something she would enjoy. Leon leaned his head back enough while still hugging Adelene so they had some room between each other.

"So...How does this feel? To me, it feels nice."

She didn't expect that. Leon's hand snaked around her, and for a moment she only stared at it, until she felt his second arm under her, and she was pulled into another hug. She looked confused for a moment, searching Leon's eyes for some kind of explanation. Leon's words were enough an answer, and Adelene felt herself smile at him.

She understood he kept a space between them on purpose but she didn't think removing it was a bad thing. After all, cuddles were supposed to be normal to her when around her two dear friends, because Leon hugged her a lot anyway, same with Lochlann. So, she chuckled and removed that space, snuggling closer to him and wrapping her arms around his torso as she buried her face in his chest.

"It feels like..." The rain was still spattering against her window but it didn't even matter anymore. "...a safe place. Warm..."

She was silent for a moment, as if she were falling asleep quickly. But she was wide awake, listening to Leon's heartbeat absentmindedly. The silence made her think of things, her mind automatically replaying the last time they were with each other. She felt guilty that she averted the question back then.

"Leon..." And then she called his name ever so softly. She was tracing random shapes on his back. "I'm sorry I'm such a handful... Um... About your question back in picnic... I was wondering if we can just... stay like this? I mean... I think it was nice for you to ask but... it's scary when I remember that everyone else important to me ended up leaving my life somehow..."

'Leaving' was a general term. She lost whoever her real family was, because of a car accident and her amnesia; she lost her adoptive parents because Seth killed them, and she lost Seth because he was blinded by greed and anger and she's run away from him ever since. Those things scared her. And she was scared that if Leon becomes more than her best friend, something tragic would happen between them, too.

Leon made the space just so it didn't get, well, any different but Adelene seemed to want the full experience. She moved closer and her head rested on his chest. Leon was...Happy. For once in his life he had made a selfish decision and it hadn't backfired. Leon enjoyed the silence, just feeling Adelene's warmth and her own comfort.

"I'm glad. I feel like I could lay here forever. This is nice."

Leon was wondering which of them would be the first to bring it up. The question. He wanted to avoid it himself to be honest, but he knew at some point it was going to come up today. He just didn't expect it in such n intimate moment. What surprised him was that she was afraid of losing him. Well it sounded more like the people she was close to in general.

"Adelene...What is there to be sorry for? You're not a handful in any way. You're a good person and are real, not fake like some people. And I'm not going anywhere. I'll always be here for you. I want to be there for you always. Whether it be someone you can always talk to or just someone to cuddle with at a moment's notice. I want to be there for you. And I will always be there for you when you needed it."

Leon tightened his hug lightly. He wanted to let her know through his tone, his gesture, and his words that he was being true to himself and her. He wanted to be that special someone in her life. Make her feel unafraid of anything. Leon gave a small kiss on Adelene's head.

"But....I still have to ask. Would you be my girlfriend?"

As much as he tried not to, Leon's voice cracked a bit in a hushed voice as he rested his head on Adelene's. He wanted her to feel as safe as she has ever been. That nothing could touch her, but also that he was serious about the whole thing. He wanted to feel happy himself. He knew he would still be her friend regardless. He just felt like it would be more special. And it was, he had never asked anyone else despite many attempts from other girls. He just felt better with her. A connection. One he would be happy to share more with her if she allowed it.

Leon's words embarrassed her, but it was nice to hear them. It was nice to know that he wanted to assure her against her fears, and that he'll always be around. She felt his arms tighten around her. His lips damped on her head, and she suddenly felt so much lighter. She closed her eyes and gave into the feeling, the comfort.

But he asked her that question again. His voice cracked, and Adelene felt her face burn.

She was silent for a moment. One hand was making patterns on his shirt, shaky ones that showed she was a little nervous.

"I'm not saying no but... can I think about it more?"

She had gathered all courage she could to say that. Because she didn't want to reject Leon, and she didn't want him to feel like so, yet just like in picnic, she still can't say yes. Even though they were hugging, even though she could believe in him, she was still hesitant about this.

Adelene pulled away and pushed herself up to sit. She clapped her hands together in front of her face as an apologetic gesture. "Is that okay..?"

To be fair, Leon wasn't expecting a straight yes or no. He wasn't expecting an answer like prior. He was expecting to simply feel it through her body motions, her tone of voice. While he was a little bothered at not getting an answer, he wasn't upset or blamed her. All he did was smile and felt good about the little gestures. He had to admit it did feel very nice feeling her hand trace shapes as it did. It was rare he got to feel such things from people.

As their embrace disappeared Leon sat up with Adelene, the same smile on his face and a more distinct glimmer in his eyes. They shined in a manner that said Leon understood why she was hesitant, why she wanted time to think. In the back of his mind Leon also knew that even he needed more time to think if this is something he wanted to do or if it-

No. He knew this was something he wanted to do. As Adelene brought her hands together Leon sat up wrapping his around hers and smiled while lightly gripping her hands in the same manner as when their cuddle had first started.

"Of course. If I have to wait for an answer I will. Only when you know this is something you truly want then I'll expect an answer. If you are still unsure for whatever reason that may be, I promise to wait one way or the other."

Leon was trying not to tear up at his own words and at everything being said between the two, but because he had never shared a moment like that with anyone. He wasn't even feeling awkward, embarrassed, or even weird about the moment he spent with Adelene. He was...Happy.

Leon was really sweet. His words were enough to make Adelene's heart pound, his smile enough to brighten her world, his attention enough to make her feel wanted. Being his girlfriend was actually a very welcoming idea, and she was happy he wanted her to be a special girl to him. But she was much happier that he was willing to wait for her to really make up her mind. For her fears to go away first. For her wholehearted answer.

She was happy and relieved, and she couldn't stop herself from giving him a kiss on the cheek. "Thank you! You're the greatest person ever, Leon! I'm lucky I have you!"

She was probably too affectionate, her gestures were mixed up, but that just proved that she was still confused about her feelings and was probably not that emotionally mature yet to know which one is a special kind of liking, and which one wasn't. To her, all of this was just friendly gestures.

But she was genuinely happy and relieved.
