Leon looked over at Adelene at how she sounded when mentioning the storm. Did she not like them? Or was it just more bad memories? Leon picked up his mug and took a sip and set it back down. He gave her a smile before lightly rubbing her shoulder to help comfort her.

"Yeah they are comfy. Guess I see why would like them. Everyone has their own comfort levels after all. And this is coming from a guy who loves wearing windbreakers all the time."

Leon started to take another drink when Adelene started talking about her feelings concerning the picnic. Leon knew this would come up at some point. He knew she was way out of her comfort zone with everything that happened. Knew he caused some of that as well. Sounded like they just needed to find something more....Relaxing for her to help.

"Yeah can't be letting guns go off when you're upset or uncomfortable. People don't exactly take kindly and have the instant reaction to duck and cover. We could try to find something else that helps. I know I just randomly exercise to help take my mind off things at times. I would like to say once again I am truly sorry for putting you in such a spot. I feel bad for making you feel so uncomfortable but..."

He didn't want to bring it up. Leon and purposely been avoiding anything around the question he asked. As much as his feelings were, Leon cared more about how others felt over his own. Adelene was rather high on his list of people he didn't like seeing upset in any manner. His eyes didn't have the normal glint, but a hint of sadness. Not much to tell what emotion, but enough to tell there was something on his mind.

"Hmm...Have a feeling you're not letting me leave anytime soon with the storm as it is. Might as well enjoy ourselves. Well for starters you hungry at all? I could rummage up something simple to eat if you want. Then we could figure out something to pass the time. Storm sounds pretty bad so I think there is no chance I'm leaving for a while."

At the moment Leon wanted to do nothing more then make Adelene feel comfortable in her own home. This was where she lived. He already had a feeling she would possibly try to make something for them as he was her guest, but Leon already had decided he would cook something and let her relax. She needed it as much as he did.

"So, shall we see what wonder I can make today? Man even a simple PP and J sounds good right now to be honest."

Leon's eyes suddenly looked... different. It caused some swirling in Adelene's chest, and unconsciously, she began to lean closer, reaching out to his head absentmindedly. His hair was still damp, she was worried he might be getting sick already.

"Leon, are you okay? If you're cold I can get a blanket for you."

He suggested that they have some more stuff to eat while waiting for the rainstorm to pass. Adelene tilted her head before glancing at the window again, and then she held up her hand to say 'wait'. She got up and went to her mini-fridge to check what she had.

"Um..." Unfortunately, she had no left overs or already-cooked dishes. Why? Well, she hasn't eaten since the night before; but it was probably a bad idea to say that in front of Leon. She grabbed chunk of smoked ham from her small chiller and grabbed a chopping board. Hopefully, Leon won't ask why she didn't have anything cooked. "...Sorry, Leon. I haven't cooked anything yet. Maybe we can fry this and make some sandwiches? I have bread and a some lettuce and tomatoes and... other sandwich stuff."

Leon wanted to shake his head at the offer for a blanket, but then he remembered it might not be a good idea to take a chance at this. Leon put the towel on his head and began to pat it down to help dry it a bit before shivering again.

"Maybe after we eat a blanket would be nice. Don't need me getting sick or you getting worried about me getting sick. I'll be a good patient Doctor Adelene."

Leon didn't know how the joke would go over in Adelene's head but he found it a little amusing. She was always worried about his health and was even more so worried right now to the point he couldn't help himself. Watching her go to her kitchen to find something to make Leon gets up to follow. He was worried about her situation after seeing very little was made. He then just figured she was more an instant noodle type of person.

"Hmm... Well ham takes a while to warm up to the right temperature. Now for just sandwiches we could slice off a bit and warm it up like lunch meat. Might be the best thing to do. Make some simple stuff, nothing too fancy."

Before he could move towards the cutting board to get things ready himself Leon quickly turned around and sneezed. Wiping his nose another one came out withing seconds. Alright now he knew he was stupid. But wasn't sorry for at all.

"Uhh, I'll let you handle things. I'll just watch. Don't want to sneeze on the food. Cause that's kinda gross....Sorry."

Leon felt bad now that he might be coming down with a cold. Or something could have bothered his nose. He was feeling fine still but things like a cold sneak up out of no where. Leon pulled the towel off his head and let it hang around his neck once more.

Adelene was already about to slice the ham when Leon sneezed, once, twice... She dropped the meat and the chopping board and went to him immediately, grabbing him by his arms to keep him still as she settled in front of him.

"Leon, don't be stubborn... See? You're cold. Stay there and I'll get you a blanket." She was probably overreacting, but it was mostly because she's never been so close to anyone before, and she didn't want Leon to get sick. She did what she said she would, rummaging through her closet quickly and then handing him a thick gray blanket. She spread it over his back and shoulders. Satisfied, she took a step back and crossed her arms while she gave him another good look. "...You just stay put somewhere, I'll get some food done in a bit." She patted him on the shoulder before going back to the ham.

She grabbed her plain black apron from beside the counter and wore it. Funny thing was that it reached lower to her thighs than her shorts could, but she didn't really pay attention to that. She poked the ham a few times, only to find it, unfortunately, a little frozen, and hard. She inspected her knives, but she didn't take any; instead she summoned one with a really thin, yet really sturdy-looking and sharp blade, after her right wrist twirled and emitted her usual black particles. She tried to slice the ham once, twice, no trouble. Three times, four, it didn't matter that the meat was a little frozen, she cut through it easily.

She grabbed a frying pan from under the counter and immediately heated it up. The ham slices were already being cooked in no time, and while waiting for them, she prepared the bread and vegetables for the sandwiches.

All the while, she would throw worried glances at Leon, and if he ever tries doing anything, she'd tell him to sit down again and just focus on warming himself up.

Leon was surprised at how quickly Adelene came over and basically went Mom mode on him. Leon just nodded with the same smile on his face and watched Adelene walk off and return with the blanket. After she placed it around him, Leon grabbed the edges and wrapped them closer around himself to help keep warm. Leon had to laugh at how much Adelene was being cautious. Then Leon remembered that he was one of the few people Adelene was close to and it made him feel bad for running over here in the rain and possibly getting sick.

Leon moved into the kitchen a bit and watched Adelene work. Now folks let's be reasonable, Leon is still a guy. So seeing Adelene in shorts that were, well, shorter then her apron made him blush a little bit from the thoughts he was getting. The things she did was adorable at times, but Adelene was more beautiful then she gave herself credit for. Leon personally could never say that he had also been with someone, save for his parents, who took this much time and effort to make sure he was alright.

Leon raised an eyebrow at Adelene using her powers to cut the ham. Well, it was effective and got some of the ham sliced off. Leon started to take a few steps to help only to see a look from Adelene that basically told him to stay put. Leon just sat back and watched as she started preparing the sandwiches, unknowingly giving off a different smile and look in his eyes. Admiration? Or something else? He was just unaware of what he was feeling at the moment expect for being an idiot for making her worry.

"Looking, and smelling, delicious already. A great looking meal made by a great looking and wonderful person. Hmm...Dunno if I just didn't notice it but you have a TV and DVD player? Thought we could watch a movie to pass the time. I'm...Umm...Kind of embarrassed to admit that I've never actually watched a movie outside of a theater with people who weren't my parents. Though....Well I'm even more embarrassed to admit that this is the first place I've been to that wasn't one of my guy friend's. Well...Guess to put it another way, inside a girl's home. And with how you're taking care of my stupidity I don't know how to...Umm what am I looking for to say..."

Leon didn't know how to phrase what he wanted to, and didn't know if he had phrased what he said right. It was weird being in Adelene's home to him, though for her being in his felt normal. He began to think it might be because of the cold he was starting to get. But with Adelene taking care of him he didn't know. He was used to being the one to take care of others, not people taking care of him. It...Was different. And he didn't mind it strangely. He thought it was because of how he felt around Adelene that made it alright. He hoped his movie question wasn't out of place either. Didn't want to just sit here and feel like he was boring or worrying Adelene anymore then he was.

She placed some bread on the toaster while she washed the lettuce and tomatoes. When the ham was done, all the other preparations were, too, and all that's left was to put everything inside the sandwich. Adelene would still glance at Leon every now and then, but there was one instance that she caught him with a weird smile on, and she tilted her head curiously.

"What's so amusing?"

She continued to work on the sandwiches, and she was done in no time, setting four large ones to a serving plate. Leon asked for a dvd player. She shook her head, but she pointed at her huge backpack beside the closet. "Is my laptop good enough for that? I don't have too many movies to choose from but I have ones I haven't watched yet."

He said he was embarrassed but Adelene only chuckled, giving him a soft pat on the head. While genders didn't matter to her that much in a context like this, she did understand that coming over to a friend's place for the first time can be a bit embarrassing. "Of course I'll take care of you, even though you really were stupid for getting yourself soaked in the rain." She smirked, but only for the single briefest second. "But if you do something more stupid than this, I'll punch you in the gut because I'd rather knock you out than letting you get in a bigger trouble."

She put the plate down on the low table, telling Leon "Go ahead and grab one," before making her way to her bag to bring her laptop out. She briefly placed it on the edge of her bed before removing her apron and putting it back to where it was a while ago. And then she turned back to Leon with her usual gentle smile on.

"Okay, quick question, do you want to stay in the table or in bed? Because I honestly have nothing against eating and watching movies in bed because the bed is super comfy."

"Not used to this is all."

While true, he couldn't bring himself up to talking about what was really amusing to him. At the moment, everything was going smoothly and fun that Leon didn't want to ruin the mood. Seeing the bag Adelene pointed to Leon walked over and grabbed the bag. It would have to do, though it was a small monitor and they'd have to be pretty close to watch it together.

"Oh really? I shouldn't test my luck then. Not gunna lie those punches hurt."

Leon let out a small chuckle as he watched Adelene take the plate with the sandwiches at the low table. He had to admit that he was proud of the way she was handling everything. As he was about to sit down the idea of where to watch the movie came up. Leon paused and almost stood in slow motion as he looked at Adelene. Leon had managed to keep his face from getting any brighter, but the mention of sitting on the bed with her just watching movies made his ears burn a tad. He knew it was just two friends watching movies, but the other part of his mind was telling him something else. All he could think of doing was playing it off.

"Well given the setup, I think the bed might be the better option. That way we have a wall or pillows to lean against as we watch them. Better then sitting here on the floor hunched over."

Leon had a few other things he wanted to mention as well, but there was no more need to make Adelene worry. If the cold somehow took a turn for the worse he could lay down. And knowing her she'd sleep on the floor which he wouldn't allow. He'd pull her onto the bed and switch places with her. Leon was the type of guy who would give up his own bed for someone who needed it. He'd also just take an extra blanket and pillow and be right at home on the floor.

"So what kind of movies you got?"

When Leon said it'd be better to watch the movies in bed on pillows, Adelene immediately went to get all her pillows and make the pillow wall against the headrest. She wasn't exactly doing it on purpose, but crawling on the bed was probably going to be really awkward once she became more conscious around Leon. But she wasn't, so she continued fixing the pillows until they were all okay, and then she sat down and grabbed the laptop, before patting the space beside her. "Leon, get the sandwiches and come here."

She opened her laptop and browsed through her files, humming thoughtfully as she checked what kind of movies she had. She really didn't have too many of them.

"Hmm... I have historical ones... like China 1911 and Lincoln..." she muttered while still clicking through files and folders. Her brows were knitted above the bridge of her nose, unknown to her. "...Maybe they're boring for you though? Let's see... I also have... Black Hawk Down and other war movies... uh... and The Raven, the one with Edgar Allan Poe in it, and... Oh hey." She neared her face to the screen, squinting a bit in a confused manner. "...I don't remember getting this anywhere before. Sinister..? Huh." She shrugged. She hasn't watched that one, but she decided it wasn't up to her what they'd watch today. She turned to Leon to ask that. "So what movie do you want? I have other movies but they're mostly war movies with awesome guns and explosives, I'm not sure you'll like those..."

Leon had to turn away for a moment as he saw Adelene crawling to keep his eyes from fixating. After a moment he looked back and saw where Adelene was patting the bed and Leon took a seat next to Adelene, the plate with their food in his hands. As he sat next to her, Leon set the plate on his lap and draped the blanket around both of them so both could share the warmth.

As Adelene listed off the movies, Leon eyed them himself and started to think. What should they watch? Well, from the stuff he could see she really loved war movies. When she said he may not like those Leon just looked at her puzzled.

"I do like those kind of movies. I may jog a lot and detest violence at times, what kind of person would I be if I didn't love explosions? Let's see.....Well I suppose some war movie would be great. How about...Got Expendables?"

If they were going to watch something with action, might as well throw in some humor every now and then. It was also a movie on his list he hadn't got to yet. He moved closer to Adelene and pulled the blanket opening closer so they had enough room to move their hands out to grab their food if they needed to. Then it hit him.

"Say should I get the lights before we start watching?"

The blanket was warm and comfy, and Adelene immediately snuggled in it when Leon shared it with her.

She grinned once he's technically chosen what he wanted to watch. "Of course I do! That movie is so awesome... I get to see how lots of weapons work-- ah, I won't say anything more, spoilers." She giggled, before pulling her laptop closer and searching through her files for the said movie. She paused for a moment when he asked about the lights, raising a brow curiously. "Do you want to? I'm fine either way. Ah, there's a switch just by the bed's foot. Can you get it?" While Leon would get it, Adelene would briefly reach the lowest drawer of her nightstand. She had small speakers there, two spherical ones which could be connected to her laptop through usb. She plugged them in quickly and adjusted the volume and the base.

She also had the movie opened already, but she waited for Leon before playing it. At the same time, she grabbed one sandwich and started to munch on it.

...She didn't realize she was hungry until that moment.
