Raising an eyebrow at Adam's comment, which he supposed he wasn't really supposed to hear, but, well, he's hearing was sharp and the silence in the room was dead but for the low volume of the TV, Sebastian smiled again. ''Trust me, I don't need any help sleeping at night. I have ways to tire myself out'', he smirked, an amused expression on his face.

''No, I don't have a car, but...'', Sebastian said then, just about to suggest an alternative means of getting to town, when suddenly he found himself raising an eyebrow at Adam from a completely different reason. ''Are you sure that is safe?'', he asked, though the more the thought about it, the more appealing the idea sounded to him. It certainly sounded like it would be very...interesting.

''You sure you can get us both to town?'', he asked though just to be sure. He didn't really feel like dying today, or having somebody dye on him either. ''Without, I don't know, overusing your power and collapsing on me half way?''

Adam's grin widened as he nodded. "Of course it's safe. I superspeed my way to wherever I want almost half the time," he said. But it'll be different with a passenger. Adam wondered what's the best way to carry Sebastian as he lapsed into a thoughtful moment of silence. "I might have to carry you bridal style so most of my body will act as a catch for yours when I'm running... That's the best way not to give you a whiplash or anything."

He knew someone's sense of time wouldn't change once his does so Sebastian might not even know they've already gotten to their destination until after he blinks.

Adam pretended to be offended when Sebastian asked if he could get them to town without overusing his powers. He frowned at the other and put his arms on his hips. "Of course, I'm sure. Dude, I've got this, don't worry about it," he said. "Unless, of course, you're implying that you're going to be real heavy and whiny on the road, which I doubt with that slim figure of yours, then... There still will be no problem."

''I am heavier that I look'', Sebastian said, huffing as he rolled his eyes. He may care about his looks and all, but he was not one of those people who starved themselves so they could weight less than a paper bag when wet. ''I can't promise anything about whining, though, especially if there is a thread of whiplash involved'', Sebastian said jokingly, though it did make him thing. Going at whatever speed Adam would be going would probably put a lot of stress on a body even if he wasn't the one actually doing the superspeading. Adam's body it's super straight to go along with the speed, but what would stop himself from breaking under it?

''Seriously, have you tried this with anybody before? Anything?'', Sebastian said, his voice serous as he looked at Adam. ''I don't really want to be your test subject just in case it turns out it isn't safe for somebody else to travel at the speeds you're going.''

I just realised I forgot 3/4 of what I learned in Physic class in school xD

Adam decided Sebastian wasn't only intriguing when he was being serious, but a little frightening as well. He tried to remember a time when he had tried superspeeding with anybody else. No one came to mind. And he couldn't exactly use Superman or the Flash either. Those were made-up stories.

Then he remembered that one time he ran to the aid of a cat. "You're not," he said, equally serious. "There's this one time a cat sneaked into the mansion. It was a stray and it had gotten into the garden somehow. And it got stuck, typical, on one of the trees. I was just recovering from my accident at that time. I thought it would be great to get some air. That's when I saw it. I tried to coax it down, but it wouldn't. It just climbed higher up. So I just watched it from there. After a while, it still hadn't come down. My brother's toy helicopter came buzzing out of nowhere and it hit the tree."

He frowned when he remembered the time he saw that damn cat jump. "It panicked, I guess. And off the tree it went. But it was too high for even a cat to land safely... I remember time slowing down. I watched it fall slow mo, like in the special effects in the movies. I walked up to it just as it was falling to my chest level. I held it an walked all the way to the adoption center. Then time came back to normal like nothing and it's fine as rain since I last checked. Even got a new owner, little girl named Cassie."

Adam smiled at the memory. "That cat never did learn. A couple of times, Cassie would call me to get it out of a tree or their roof. Since then, it was called Sky High. Get it? Cuz it's always climbing on high places like it wanna reaches the sky?" Adam said before he winced at the bad joke. That wasn't his fault though. And he had the same reaction when Cassie explained it just like that. He sighed. "Anyway, my point is you're not the first to get supersped to some place, all right? So it's perfectly safe."

As have I, my friend xD

"Yeah. Every twelve years here on earth, there's a harvest moon happening in Equilibrium. And every..." Dreizel trailed off to calculate in his head again, his forehead forming lines. Math was never his strong point. "Zero point eighty-three? Yeah, every zero--Ah, no actually, that's 0.083. Yep. Every point oh-eight-three-three-three-three and so on years in Equilibrium, a harvest moon rises here. Pretty cool huh?" He grinned proudly at his little achievement with regards to the mathematics as he walked with Samael through the thinning forest.

Dreizel could see the top of the school buildings better now that there were less trees covering them from sight. He wondered how they'd look from one of those high windows traversing through the edge of the woods. He listened about how troublemakers here are taken care of.

"One of the reasons why this place is going to be my favorite places," the fallen angel added. "It already is, actually. Mostly because the food here is incredible." He didn't know how food from his place actually tasted because his race never needed to eat. But Dreizel wouldn't know how to explain that without lying. Luckily, he had a solution to get them away from that topic.

"You're student here too, right?I'm in 12th grade. What level are you in?" he asked curiously. It would be good if they had some classes they could take together. And it'll be nice if Dreizel and Samael could hang out during break times.

I gotta say I'm surprised to find this thread in the OTM list.

''I see'', Sebastian said, humming quietly in response to Adam's story. At this point it didn't really surprise him that the man was apparently of the cat saving kind, though, admittedly, he wasn't sure he wouldn't jump in to save it either, it's not like he would want to see the cat get hurt, so no jokes were made about that.

''Fine then'', the blond man said, agreeing to the suggested means of transportation to the city. He had been interested from the beginning anyway, but his survival instinct was just a bit stronger than the instinct to find new things and try them out in hope that they will actually stay interesting after that first try. Also, he had just got into a fight on Hari that basically started because he thought Hari was reckless and could have died, so it wouldn't really do well if he went and did the same thing just after they had made up.

''You do realise though that that makes no sense what so ever?'', Sebastian asked, his mind somewhat unwilling to let go of the fact that everything but Adam should be pancake moving at that speed. ''Then again, powers rarely do, so, there is that. I need to change, meet you back here in fifteen minutes?''

Adam grinned. He was finally going to be able to share the awesome stuff he has with somebody. And it's not everyday he could convince a friend to let him carry them and superspeed them to town. Not that he'll always be ready to make the offer. He didn't want to be anyone's personal speedster. He just wanted to share the experience with them because it was hella cool.

"Okay," Adam said. "I also gotta get some money from my room anyway." He spent a few seconds to check his wallet first before he headed to the his dorm room. He entered to get to another wallet that's meant to keep most of his cash and transferred some bills to the wallet he uses whenever he goes outside.

The one for keeping cash was still pretty thick, but Adam knew the cash remaining in it wouldn't last if he kept on with his addiction to buying comics. But whatever, he thought carelessly. He could still get a job in the island and there are certainly going to be ATMs in town, if there aren't any around the corner. The school was pretty advanced despite the magic and superpowers students had.

After getting his cash, Adam leisurely made his way back to the lounge, knowing that he still had time to wait around before Sebastian's promised fifteen minutes are up. So while the raven waited, he surfed the channels on the TV.

For a moment, Sebastian was lost as to where he had left his credit card, having put it somewhere safe on the day he moved in and pretty much not having seen it since then. That, however, had not been what had made his fifteen almost turn into twenty. Staring at his closet, he bit into his lip, harshly, his hands planted at his sides and not moving as he tried to make himself change into a short sleeved shirt. It was hot outside, hotter than inside the school, and he was already at boiling point. He really shouldn't risk overheating himself in long sleeved shirts. In his mind, he knew that. He still changed into a white, long sleeved shirt before grabbing his wallet from where it was sitting among his jeans, as well as his phone and the key to the room.

''Sorry'', he said as he made his way down to the lounge again. ''Couldn't find the damn credit card'', he said, giving a smile which probably felt a little fake but he couldn't make it any better right then. ''Let's get going, shall we?''

Thread's ending, want to plan/open another?
