''Not making fun or anything'', Sebastian said as he finally sat up straight on the couch, crossing his legs beneath him as he did so, and making himself comfortable once more. He realised suddenly how much he actually enjoyed this, a conversation, people, even though people were currently just a person actually. He had forgotten, really forgotten, how interesting it all could be. A bit of teasing especially, though it was a given he wouldn't use his powers on anybody any more, especially not now when he was in a middle of learning how to control them and everything and anything he did them was a dangerous wild card.

''Most of my high school years had been spent either using Seduction, my power,'', he explained, knowing that the other man might get confused otherwise, ''on various straight, or closeted, boys around the school. What time I had left after that was sued to charm my teachers into extending my deadlines, considering I really didn't have time to get much work done, did I?'', he laughed, carefully eyeing Adam's reaction. Was he one of those straight boys, those who would blush then get angry and ready to hit and fight as soon as they realised what they had done for some, for them, completely unimaginable reason? No, he thought as Adam asked his next question, this one wasn't one of those. Well, there is nothing to making him feel a little bit safer though.

''I have a boyfriend now though, so you are safe'', he said in a way of finishing his story about his high school days before answering the next question. ''And yes. I have kissed a boy for the first time when I was... twelve or thirteen I think'', he said, frowning a bit as he tried to remember again. Things from so far away in the past always seemed a little blurry, despite 'so far away in the past' only being about seven years. ''Way before I figured out I had any sort of power. That happened around high school. And was quite fun'', he said, giving a giant, lazy grin to the other by as a finishing point of his speech.

Adam had simply listened to Sebastian's story. He found the other's use of his Seduction on teachers to be a kind of cheating, but he figured that if he were put in the same situation, he would probably end up doing the same. And Adam really wasn't one to judge. He shifted on his seat so he was more or less stretched on it, with his arms resting on the arm rest and his head supported by a hand.

It was a little easier to imagine Sebastian's past after knowing he was taken. "You had your first kiss at twelve?" he asked, eyebrows shooting up. He was impressed. The best he could get from the girl he liked at twelve was to just talk to him. He couldn't even tell her his feelings back then. And then there's Sebastian here who has been kissed as early as age twelve. "Tsh, lucky... You know the furthest thing I got with a crush was just to talk to her... I don't even think she figured out I liked her."

Or that could have been because he was more focused on his studies, too. Even at age twelve, there was already that pressure from his parents. Mostly his father, really.

"So how does it work? Do you give off some pheromones? Or is it mostly just mental, psychological stuff? And does it work on girls?" he asked. "It's my first time meeting someone with your abilities, so sorry if I'm too curious about it. I don't mean to pry. It's just that... I guess you're magnetic." He laughed before he raised his hands up. "No homo though, bro. Just letting you know. But I guess you already knew that, huh?"

''You perhaps'', Sebastian laughed as Adam raised his hands to defend himself. ''I myself am very much gay and very, very aware of it'', he said, stretching his legs in front of himself again as they were starting to tingle, threatening to fall asleep if he continued to sit on them.

''You're not'', he said after he was sufficiently stretched and comfortable again, though he had to control his voice and face carefully as he did so in order to make sure that his tone and smile stayed the same. ''Prying, that is. I don't mind talking about it.'' As long as it stays general, he thought to himself though. As long as it it shocking Adam with his conquests or explaining to him how his power worked, though it wasn't like he could tell him much about that. Anything more personal, he thought, and, well... He picked on one of the scales adoring still his skin, the one he didn't even have to look to know it was there at this point as it was almost automatic reaction to reach for and pick on it now when he was nervous. Like some people bite nails, he thought bitterly.

''As for how it works... I am not sure. I didn't exactly have somebody to explain it to me when I was young, and now I am more concerned with some other...aspects of my power'', like, for example, turning into a snake randomly, or not being able to turn his Seduction off once he did manage to get it on. ''So I'm not really sure. It just...is. Magnetic, just as you said'', giving the other man his moth charming smile. ''And yeah, that part works on everyone'', he nodded, remembering how as a child he could get away with almost anything, the maids and nannies his parents hired to look after him almost unable to say no to him and definitely unable to stay angry at him for long.

''Girls do nothing for me, though, never have, so I've never tried to use my powers further on one'', he hummed softly, wondering now, would it work on a girl? It might, it was not like Seduction was in any way under his control, the power being as wild as a wild animal. On the other hand, there would be no motivation on his part there, so it was just as probable that it would fail.

''And yeah, I guess I had bloomed a bit earlier than most, but well'', Sebastian said, laughing a little at 'tsh' coming from Adam, ''I guess it is just a part of who I am. Also, I have never very much about whether the other person actually liked me. I just... made what I wanted happen when I wanted it'', given, at one point most of those kisses have started to become part of bets, but before that it was the same. He never had the patience or the will to wait for others to come to him. Besides, in a high school setting where being gay was the same as being beaten or dead, who would have really come to him? No, it was much better if he made them come to him, and so he did, until it had eventually grown empty...and yeah, he was not going there right now, as he could already feel his skin prickling. Though that might just be the heath, he thought, frowning at the sleeve of his long-sleeved black shirt. It was definitely to hot to be wearing one, but he would rather have a heat stroke than allow anybody to see his skin right now.

"Right," Adam said though he himself was just starting to wonder what it might be like being bisexual. Nothing too serious, just passing thoughts as he continued talking to Sebastian and hearing about being gay for the most part. He definitely was partly bicurious as of the moment, but he doubted that the thought would stick to his mind after this. And slowly, he was opening up just a bit more to gays. Not that he had been totally against them before, but being able to talk to one so casually like this was really opening his mind. He did know some gays from before the incident that made his powers known to him, but they were more acquaintances than friends.

"Oh," he drawled after his question about how it worked had been answered. He glanced at Sebastian just as the other flashed him a smile. Adam returned it and shifted a little so he was more or less sprawled on the chair he'd taken up now. He stayed quiet as Sebastian explained some more. Adam himself had been more sensitive about what others felt, so he wouldn't know much about getting what he wanted without caring about someone's feelings. And he found it to be a little selfish of Sebastian, but some people really were simply pushy like that.

"You must be an expert on relationships now, huh?" Adam said as he turned so he was facing the ceiling. He absently touched the burn on his neck as he stared at the lights overhead. "Looks like I'll know who to go to when I've got love problems," he added jokingly. "Which I doubt would be happening any time soon." Seeing as he had no one he was interested in currently and he wasn't actively looking for a partner. Not yet anyway. And he was still just mostly here to learn to control his powers and get a degree. Those were his priorities as of the moment. Things like love and relationships, they could wait. Actually, he was waiting for that perfect someone, too. Not too eagerly, but just with enough patience.

"Hey, do you know any place here where I can buy comic books? I've been looking all over the island... The bookstores in town have almost nothing in stock that's recent," he said, wondering if maybe Sebastian knew of a hidden cove for book readers here or something with a miraculous amount of recently-published comic book issues hidden away in a shelf. Though Adam wouldn't be too surprised either if Sebastian wasn't too interested to know about those.

Sebastian actually let a short, but warm and loud wave of laugher escape him when Adam suggested he would come to him of all people for romantic advice, his hand abandoning the quest it was currently on in order to be wrapped around his middle as he laughed while he waved the other through the air in a negative, declining gesture.

''Relationships?'', he said once the wave had died, though he was still grinning, no longer lazily, but somewhat amusedly. ''Not really, considering Hari is my first one. All the right places to touch and kiss on a man to drive him insane on the other hand? I'm an expert, feel free to ask me anything you want.''

He had a feeling though that Adam wouldn't, either because he would feel to awkward to ask him, or because he would be too awkward to ask a man out period. Or because the man was straight through and through and Sebastian just didn't see it. His judgement skills were biased, after all, as everybody acted as if they were attracted to men at least a little around him.

''I could relay your questions to my boyfriend though'', Sebastian said with a small amused huff. ''He is all about relationships'', he smiled fondly, remembering how Hari insisted on the title on boyfriends. He was not remembering the rest of that fiasco ever again in his life, but that, that was a fond memory.

''And never say things like that, my friend'', he said, his amusement growing by the second. ''Lest you end up in bed with your room-mate in a day.'' It was what happened to him after all, right? In a way.

''I don't know much about the city'', he said, shaking his head at Adam's question about comic books. ''But, yet again, I may relay your question to Hari. He's a book nerd, he'll list you every book store in town, probably. Off the top of his head too, probably'', he said, laughing yet again sharply but fondly.

At first, Adam was confused as to why Sebastian burst out laughing. And when he told him about his expertise, Adam felt his face flushing. He let out a small chuckle, knowing how he probably looked just a moment ago. "Then I doubt I'll be going to your for advice any time soon... or at all, for that matter," he promised. "Your boyfriend--Hari, right?--I'll probably speak to some time in the future." Maybe not in the near future, but hopefully it won't be too far into the future either. Adam might not be looking for the perfect partner yet, but that didn't mean he didn't want to settle down either.

"Hm, that may be, but I don't have a roommie yet so I guess I'm safe from that jinx for now," Adam added with a chuckle as he sat up a bit straighter, though he still leaned back heavily on the chair. He crossed his legs in front of him again. Damn, chairs here in the lounge are pretty comfortable, he thought.

The scarred man felt disappointed, despite already expecting that answer. But his lips stretched to another smile when he heard how fondly Sebastian spoke about his boyfriend. It seemed they were quite happy being together, even though their relationship was not the traditional kind.

"Well, let me know when he's around so I can meet him, too," Adam said. He picked at the wrappings on his hand absently as he let some comfortable silence pass between them.

Now it's Seb's turn to ask the 21 Questions xD Adam's running out

''Hari is at his club'', Sebastian said, clicking his tongue in an irritated manner as he remembered yet again that his boyfriend was away and was very likely to stay that way for a few more hours. ''Work'', he corrected himself then, before frowning again. ''I am not exactly sure. I just know he is somewhere that is not our room and will be back in a few hours'', he finished in the end, shaking his head lightly, his light blond hair flying messily in every direction possible as he did so.

Well, he thought to himself as he raised the said head which was now surrounded by a much messier pale blond halo, at least the had a new friend to entertain himself with until Hari returned. And then he would introduce the said friend to a said boyfriend and watch them as they probably went on about books, he decided, as he smiled at Adam yet again.

''Don't be so sure. About either of those'', he said, before humming softly as he realised that he had pretty much shared his life story just now without actually getting anything in return. Not that he minded talking, really, in fact he enjoyed it but it would be nice to get to know Adam in return.

''What about you?'', Sebastian asked then, tilting his head. ''What brings you to the Academy of freakish and bizarre? We've already established it is not the pretty boy around here, though they are the best part in my opinion'', he said, his tone teasing but still slightly curious yet trying to not be overly so. He wanted to know, but he guessed that if Adam didn't want to share he would have to dig other things to talk about.

His frown grew somewhat deeper as he tried to remember what it was that he and his high school friends used to talk about besides betting on his powers.

"What about you? What brings you to the Academy of freakish and bizarre?"

Adam shrugged at first, mostly to try ignoring the way Sebastian was teasing him and also because he did not know how he should even start. "Well, before I'm Scarface, I worked in my dad's metal factory as a 'blacksmith', as I'd like to call it. I basically forge designs on knives and blades. Sometimes I make my own designs... Can't say they're not that popular. As of now anyway," he explained. He stretched to lay down on the chair, the back of his head resting on the armrest "One day, this big explosion happened and it put the building on fire. I didn't get out in time."

He was quiet for a while as he thought about that day. He remembered the cinders that licked his skin painfully and the agonizing heat that climbed up his neck and his face. "I got caught on fire, had some beams fall onto me. Luckily, I was able to get out from under them. I didn't even know back then that what I was doing was unnatural. Didn't know I was too strong or too fast back then, like freakish strong, you know? And freakish fast. All I knew was that I was pushing things out of my way and running out of the building," he said. "They fixed my face. For some reason, I wanted some of the scars to stay so I asked them if they could leave the ones on my neck alone. My father had been reserved about that decision, but he never said anything against it since it wouldn't affect my work and since it's what I wanted."

He sat up again and turned to Sebastian. He traced the scar that ran along his forehead and down his cheek with a finger. "As for this, I'd been, uh... playing hero? Thought if I had as much adrenaline as the first time, I could coax my powers out," he chuckled at the silliness and the stupidity of that decision. "I was not a smart man. Anyway, it worked but I didn't have Wolverine's healing factor or Superman's steel skin so I ended up with this scar."

And that was the time when his dad actually said something about it. His mom, too. They said he looked like a gangster. Not surprising they jumped right away to that level of badassery since his scar had probably been that badass, though Adam would have preferred to be called at least a delinquent first. And it didn't help that his dad was against keeping the scar. Adam didn't want another surgery. It wouldn't have felt natural to see his face in the mirror everyday and just know that there should be a huge scar there. And maybe it was that little part of him that wanted some badass in his life, just to mark that one time he had the guts to go against some thugs in the street and was able enough to get out with just that. Better than a stab in the chest or something, right?

Adam zoomed back to the present and clicked his tongue. "That's basically my story," he said with a grin as he turned to Sebatian. "Boring blacksmith turned wannabe hero turned semi-superman. Pretty dumb, huh? But cool, too."

''Not dumb at all'', Sebastian said, his whole exterior suddenly changing, the childish nature of his gestures now being all but gone, the lazy smiles and teasing looks suddenly replaced by a serious expression and a sharp focus. ''It sounds more to me like you were lucky'', he said, his voice deeper now than it was before when he made light of every conversation and teased Adam by talking about pretty boys and kisses. ''Had you had any other power you would have probably been dead'', the young man said, his blue eyes strangely focused on Adam's face as if he were appraising it. ''Almost like fate, isn't it?'', Sebastian asked, tilting his head slightly to the right, ''Everybody getting a power they need or deserve'', he added, humming softly to himself. ''Or something like that'', he added, before breaking into a smile yet again just as suddenly.

''And the scar isn't that bad, really'', he said, moving himself closer to Adam's personal space, though not really invading it yet, tracing the path of the scar through he air with his left without actually touching Adam's skin, as he used his right art to balance himself in order to not fall off the couch.

''It gives you an edge. A lot of men like that, you know'', he said, grinning yet again, his voice light and teasing, no trace of his sudden seriousness in it. ''Girls too, probably'', he added as if in the afterthought. It wasn't like he actually knew anything about girls and women and what they actually liked. ''Not that I know much about that'', he said, voicing that thought out loud as he finally moved back from the edge of Adam's personal space and back into his previous position on the couch.

''I don't know how bad are the others but...'', he said, his energy dropping slightly yet again, as his right hand covered his left wrist the sharpness of scales making itself known even through his shirt. ''Nobody's going to bother you about them here. I mean, there are a lot of people who have even weirder stuff growing on or from their body'', he tried to smile as brightly as before but failed. This sounded like something he should be saying to himself as well. Not that it would ever actually work on him. He still just wanted to get rid of his scales as fast as he possibly could. Adam had kept his scars willingly though, so it just might help him.

''I've seen people with both wings and horns. Scars are really considered somewhat of either mandatory or an accessory here'', that wasn't strictly true, he thought to himself, but he wouldn't be himself if he didn't exaggerate at least a bit.

"Tch. Not dumb?" Adam snorted. "You call going out in the middle of the night to look for trouble not dumb?" He shook his head before he glanced at Sebastian and only then did he notice the change. Adam stared at Sebastian while he spoke out of character. He was caught by surprise at the sudden change of demeanor as well as his question. Adam stared at the floor as he thought about fate. Perhaps that was what it was, but he was never one to believe in fate. Fate, in his opinion, was something people held in their hands.

The raven glanced back at Sebastian as he moved closer and didn't drop their locked gazes until he watched the other's hand come up to trace the air over Adam's scar. When his eyes returned to Sebastian's, the other's seriousness had gone and he was back to being the Sebastian Adam had met.

That alone put a new depth to Sebastian that Adam didn't expect to see. Though, he supposed Sebastian had always projected a mysterious complexity hidden beneath his teasing words. Then again, a lot of people tended to hide a part of themselves from everybody else. Adam was one of them himself, though he guessed he had less secrets to hide than most people. Like he said, he had been pretty boring before.

"Now you're just making me curious about how men see me," Adam joked with a chuckle. It was half-truth though, but he wouldn't acknowledge the other half of it yet. He held up a hand, making a small space between his forefinger and his thumb. "And you're just about this close to making me bicurious. Careful. Who knows? One day, I might really come to you for advice on your expertise."

He grinned at Sebastian as he sat back. Adam thought about the different people he's met here so far. True, there were some people here that sported things that normal human beings didn't have. "I guess that's true," he said as he stroked his chin thoughtfully. "I guess there's nobody here who could turn into a dragon though, because that would be cool if there was."
