ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Shivani is registered as a service animal for Eroshay Rosales, but she is a companion to all the Rosales family.

Earth Form: Standing at six foot at the shoulder, Shivani strikes an imposing figure for an animal. Her fur is sleek and pitch black, moving less like fur and more like tar or molten lava. It strings her lips together whenever she opens her mouth, looking stickier than it is. Strangely, when touched, it feels more like smooth sand or dirt, than anything adhesive. The fur at her scruff whips upward like fire, moving with the same erratic behavior.

Along Shiv's body are bright red paths of magic that crawl along her body and move when she does. Most of the heat that comes off her seems to stem from these. When she loses most of her body heat, the color washes out to an ashen gray, and when she's warm, the color brightens further.

This same scarlet magic is seen inside her mouth, colors her teeth, ears, and consumes her eyes. She very much glows in the darkness, and this cannot be turned off unless Shiv is killed or dying from freezing.

Her tail is twice the length of her body, due to the nature of her powers. Shivani has exquisite control over the extremity. The tip of her tail; is pitch black like the rest of her, but has a noticeable lack of fur.


Hellhound Form: Shivani's actual Hellhound form is a strange thing to lay eyes on. Her fur still moves like tar or lava, and it is still pitch black, but the entirety of her body lacks cohesion. When she moves, it seems as if some of her body takes a few moments to go with her. She looks more like a shadow but heavier.

Rather than red paths of magic decorating her body, Shiv is littered with a series of red eyes that look around everywhere. Most of these eyes cannot see, but people don't tend to realize that. On her head is a set of twelve eyes, six to each side. They grow smaller the higher on her head they are.

In this form, her tail is no different than in her other form. She stands at twelve-foot-two to the shoulder.

Shivani is a loyal hound and fiercely protective of her those she considered under her protection or the protection of Hell. There isn't a whole lot of gentleness where Shiv is concerned. She isn't great with comforting, and she's generally too tense to relax.

Shiv is a passionate creature, who loves a good fight and is always wary of those around her. For those who can speak to her, she is straightforward and blunt. Because she relies heavily on her instinct, there isn't much in the way of a personality to speak of. She's more sentient than the average animal, but not quite on the level of most humanoids.

While Shivani is capable of emotions and creating bonds, they are more animalistic in nature. She doesn't feel love like people, but rather a kinship or pack bond with those she enjoys the company of. In the presence of possible danger, she is ready to defend her territory and pack. Like most predators, Shiv is extremely territorial.

HELLHOUND FORM

Shivani's eyesight in this form is fit for Hell, but not Earth. When in Hellhound form on Earth, her eyesight is much worse than normal, but her sense of the world is better. She sees through movement, more or less. The more movement there is, the better she sees. She cannot see things that are still.

Shiv is larger than average, growing to twelve-foot-two at the shoulder and thus, stronger than her Earth form. As a Hellhound, Shivani is more fit for a tank than anything; she is durable and tough, able to take a good amount of beating (though a rocket launcher would still rip through her the same, etc.). Daggers won't pierce her pelt in this form, but swords and guns still will. Her jaw strength increases a vast amount, capable of chewing through steel (though not quite powerful enough to bite steel in one go).

What she has in strength, Shiv lacks in speed. Because of her muscle mass in this form, she is remarkably slow. She couldn't even keep up with an average bike and nevermind trying to make sharp turns. Shivani's turns in this form are akin to a semi. Very wide and very slow.

This form is best for holding her ground and not so much for tracking, or catching. It's a defensive measure and in this realm, she can only keep it going for fifteen minutes (five posts) comfortably. She can try to push for seventeen (six posts), but she'd be out like a light afterward.

She can still use her fire powers in this form, and her bites and scratches still burn, but again, even her tail is thicker and slower. She can't so much whip her tail around as she can smash it into things. It would take long enough that the average person could just out of the way with time to spare.

FIRE EMBODIMENT

Fire Whip: Shivani's tail can be consumed by hellfire and used it to battle. She tends to attack as though she were using a whip. When this ability is active, Shiv's tail cannot be gripped or torn off; it moves as though it were made of fire. The fire, however, is a controlled flame and thus will not spread when striking things. It leaves scorch marks and burns those it comes in contact with like normal fire, but it cannot spread or be blown out by wind or water.

When struck with water or ice, Shivani's tail may flicker in and out of existence for a moment, and it will indeed wound the Hellhound, but the fire itself cannot be extinguished until she allows it to be.

This ability can't be used when Shivani has no warmth in her body and while it can be utilized in the cold season, or when it is snowing/raining, it takes her a great deal of energy.

Healing Heat: Shivani regenerates three times faster than an average person when in intense heat or near/in a fire. Being directly thrown into flame (full body consumed by it), Shiv regenerates in only a few moments. Opposite this, Shiv heals three times slower when in cold environments or around large quantities of ice or snow. When outside in the snow, she is incapable of healing.

Heat Resistance: As a creature of Hell, made through lava, Demonic magic, and brimstone, Shiv is resistant to all forms of heat and fire. They don't add to her power, but they don't harm her either. The sheer force of a fire spell can still harm Shivani, but the actual fire itself will not.

Because of this, Shiv is especially weak to ice magic and cold temperatures. While Shivani can travel out and about in the snow, she is significantly weakened and in need of constant warming up.

Burning Bite (Passive): Shivani's bites and scratches burn like fire. Think of this the same way a fire ants bites burn and itch, only a tad stronger. It's enough to cause irritation, but not enough to put someone out of commission.

SPECIES ABILITIES

As a Hellhound, Shivani remains bound to Hell and the Seven Princes there. Should they ever need her, all, they must do it call, and she shall return. Shivani isn't a normal animal and thus, cannot be compared to one. She is smarter, stronger, and faster than an average canine (wolf being the closest assumption.) Her speed and strength may not be supernatural in capability, but it's noticeable.

She's not as intelligent as a person might be because Shiv doesn't think like a human, or even most humanoids. She doesn't much think about the future or the past; her thoughts revolve around the present and what she needs to do right then. Instinct is strong in Shivani, and she isn't good with understanding humanoid motives. She is a simple-minded creature, for the most part. Most may be unaware of this, for Shiv cannot speak to most mortals; the Hellhound is only capable of being understood by those with Demonic blood.

Unlike most Hell-beings on Manta Carlos, Shivani isn't important enough to be granted immortality (though she does not age, or ages at a slow rate). However, theoretically, Shiv could be recreated down in Hell, though that would take a significant amount of time -- months.

Shiv naturally retains more warmth than is normal for most creatures. Sitting beside her is like lounging by a burning furnace. The Hellhound smells constantly of burning brimstone. Shivani's tail is completely prehensile, rivaling an elephant's trunk in dexterity. She is capable of using it as an extra limb, grabbing, motioning, and even writing with it. The tip of her tail is bare of fur, allowing her to feel things with it as well as humans feel with their fingers.

WEAKNESSES

Demonic Presence: Shivani has a very clear Demonic presence, even those who struggle to define different types of magic should have a pretty clear idea about where Shiv comes from and what (or who) her magic is stemmed to. There is no way to cover this up, she is very clearly from Hell, and that tends to make people wary or distrustful of her.

Holy Symbols: Like most Christianity-based Demonic creatures, Shiv is weak against holy items, such as holy water, crosses, and the like. They cool her body down and induce a deep-set despair into Shivani, sending her into fight or flight mod.

Holy Places: Shivani can step foot on holy ground, but it is extremely uncomfortable for her. The longer she remains, the more a sense of wrongness creeps up her spine. It takes her no longer than fifteen minutes to go into a blind panic and run as far away as she can get.

Bound: As previously mentioned, Shivani is bound to the princes of Hell and must return to do their bidding -- dropping everything -- once they call on her. No questions asked.

Born and raised in Hell, where time travels strangely, Shivani has spent most of her days with the Princes' of Hell and their children. She has been around long enough to have shadowed Klaus Rosales back when he visited Hell.

A collaborative effort between Klaus and Mammon have brought Shivani to Manta Carlos as Eroshay's birthday pet/service animal and protector. Is it legal? Only technically.
