Personality Description: A rather flirtatious, outgoing male, Ren has a penchant for mischief and a vindictive streak a mile wide. He can be stubborn when he believes he's right, and while he can seem a bit blithe when he isn't flirting, he becomes loyal to the select few he deems worthy enough for his attention. Those few will be the only ones to see beneath the roguish, uncaring facade Ren often puts up in public. When he finds his bonded, he feels that he'll become a bit possessive and clingy, but will fight to remain independent, as is his nature.

Biography: Renato, like nearly every member of his clan before him, grew up learning how to become and act like a true Familiar, a type of shapeshifter who would bond to the most compatible person regardless of their species, meant to act as protectors, confidants, etc. A true Familiar, unlike the more popular temporary familiars, do not die when their bonded does; instead, they remain alive, wandering the lands until they meet with the reincarnation of their bonded. In a sense, true Familiars are immortal, supporting each incarnation of their bonded whenever they are born. While most would love the idea of such immortality, it is a demanding and draining life, existing forever and becoming attached to each unique incarnation of their bonded, only to be ripped apart when the incarnation dies and the cycle is restarted once more. It is the reason why only certain clans are able to become true Familiars, and why temporary familiars that die with their bonded have become more popular. Ren, however, has been taught that such a strain is worth it.
When his letter to Starlight Academy came, his family wasn't very surprised. Many of his clan had been invited to attend, but since training is only finished once you turn 18, each Constantyne that had attended has tested and successfully transferred into their senior year of high school. It has been no different for Ren, whose first year in attendance is as a senior and hopes to find his prospective bonded quickly.

- Stronger power: The abilities granted to those becoming Familiars. This means: immortality relative to their bonded, and a mental connection and increased intuition/perception to their bonded.
- Weaker power: Shapeshifting into a black cat
- Strengths: So as long as nothing interrupts the reincarnation process of his bonded's soul, he is technically immortal. Smaller facets of being a Familiar include slightly enhanced strength and speed, and 20/20 vision.
- Weaknesses: Because he has yet to actually find the person most compatible to him, all of the abilities of a Familiar have not manifested within him; if he were to be fatally wounded or killed, he would indeed die. Until he finds his prospective bonded, he is just as vulnerable as everyone else that isn't immortal or has some sort of healing ability. Also, in the period between the death of the current incarnation of his bonded and when he finds the new incarnation, his sanity suffers the longer it takes.
As is his clan's way, he can only shapeshift into one animal.
