Everything seemed to be going well with everyone introducing themselves one at a time. Of course, Malik introduced himself twice. It might be his eagerness or excitement to make new friends. It is noted to be going well. First the boy meet a young girl who could make rainbows with butterflies then, he meets a nekomata. Anh Sang seems to be fond of the this cat-like student for his ears and tail. He must expect many girls to like cute and adorable material as well as beings such as Kuro. Malik admits he is cute, but he does not squeal or coo, like some women do. Specifically, he was referring to little and teenaged girls. They seem to be smitten over the most adorable thing such as infant animals, human babies, cute clothing, etc. This certain category of material and living beings seems to always get their attention. Of course, there are women who try to resist the temptations of those alluring beings and attire.

While introducing himself for the second time, the young electrokinetic notices something quite off with his new friend along with Anh Sang. The nekomata became silent for how long, he didn't know. His expression was blank, glazed. The cat-like student just stood in place. Malik suspects something must be wrong. For a person to immediately be devoid of any emotion isn't normal. Then again, he was at a school where normality was involved much. He looked closer to the nekomata and decided to asked of his state of condition. He hopes to at least get a reaction out of him.

"Um, excuse me Kuro, are you okay?" He asked, wondering what could be happening inside the his head. For a moment, the yokai said nothing. He just stood where he was as if his spirit was detached. There was something definitely wrong with Kuro. He didn't respond to Malik's question on his current condition. He wasn't even paying attention or appear to be moving. He was perfectly still as a statue. He wonders how he can get his attention while the nekomata is in a state such as this. He didn't much to worry about when the yokai's face suddenly lit back up to cheerfulness. That was surprising to Malik. One moment Kuro had an emotionless expression on his face then, he is suddenly cheerful. That was certainly a bizarre occurrence. Hearing what the nekomata had to say about his earlier disposition, Malik decides to respond to his "bad habit".

"Well, I hope you will grow out of it. For a moment there, you seemed detached. I was actually concerned you would be stuck like that." He said, voicing his worry for his new friend. Hopefully, these spacious moments of Kuro's aren't frequent. He didn't want it getting in the way of his friend having fun with others. He wonders, if he can help with the nekomata's bad habit. Malik is a very helpful person, so, of course, he wants to assist Kuro in any way he can to deal with this certain reoccurring condition of his.

The boy noticed Anh Sang latch onto the cat-like boy and reach for his ears. Now that the situation was taking a turn for the better in the group's favor, he let out a smile of happiness. The ten year-old was cute and he wonders, if she is like this most of the time. She reminds him of his younger sister. She has the same bright personality, but a little more mature.

Kuro could tell from the reactions of the others his -episode- had made them concerned. The other boy's frendly additude, however, quickly re-assured him that they did not think he was some kind of creep or freak. "Oh...I'm sure I will." Kuro responded, his tone hiding the nervousness he felt over the whole affair. Wrestling with Neko was hard work, and as each day passed he got closer and closer to overpowering him and taking hold...it was only a matter of time. Kuro was a ticking time bomb....and he knew that.

His fear however quickly vanished as he felt the small girl tugging at him, reaching for his ears. "Here, let me help you!" he said to the excited 10 year old. He knelt down to her level and presented his ears to her, ready for her to touch them. "If you like, I can tell you a bit more about the kitties like me..there's actually a whole bunch of us and you seem interested in our kind!" He said to the Anh Sang

So, Kuro was officially on Anh Sang's list of Awesome People to Sometimes Maybe Do Awesome Shiny Rainbow Things with. It would have been nice to say that it was a short, carefully filtered list but the truth was that people were added to it quite whimsically. Almost everybody that Anh Sang met was moved to it eventually and almost nobody was edited off of it. But no, anyways, the point was the Kuro was on the super special part of the list. The part of the list that consisted of kitties who were actually totally okay with a ten year old touching their ears.

Happily, Anh Sang petted Kuro's ears. They really did feel just like the ones on normal kitties and the girl perked up a little after hearing the boy's comment. "So there are more of you!" she said, giggling in childish glee. "That's so cool! Tell me, tell me, okay?"

Luckily, it didn't seem like Kuro was in that weird mood anymore. That was just strange and...weird. After a little while of oohing and petting his ears, though, Anh Sang suddenly had a thought. "Hey, hey, do you want to feel his ears, too?" she asked Malik. "They're really soft!"

The young electrokinetic hears the nekomata voice his reassurance to him. It was obvious he didn't want him to worry. He may sound certain, but he could tell there was nervousness behind his confident exterior. However, Malik didn't want to press on with Kuro. He can tell that he rather just forget about and he would like to as well. He decided to put it behind them for the best. He hopes that certain "episode" won't happen again, at least for a while. A question remained in his mind, though. How did that condition came to be? It didn't matter now, all that did was to spend time with his new friends. With a nod, Malik accepted his reassuring answer for the questioning of his current state of mind being unaffected.

"Well, if you say so. Why don't we just forget about what happened earlier." He said, wanting to continue the happy confrontation. A sudden change in a friend's demeanor wasn't going to hinder their moment of tranquility. In fact, it actually strength the three's bond slightly in caring for how Kuro was during the condition. The boy heard the nekomata mention on informing Anh Sang about his kind. That did sound intriguing to him, but he didn't want to force that kind of information out of him as well as not wanting to have bad relations with the girl or Kuro either. Malik can't even recall a time when he broken a good friendship, probably because he never did. He was always quiet and didn't say anything offending to any comrade.

When Malik was a child, he had always been on friendly terms with any he had ever meet, whether it was another kid or an adult. His helpful and caring personality had also helped as well. He had to admit, he had witnessed some friendships being broken, but not because of him. It was either by the said friends arguing or by other means. Either way, he was never responsible for a friendship falling apart. He was thankful for that and that he was the caring person he is. Of course, he was grateful for many other things such as his electrical powers. Speaking of which, he wanting to show them the reason for his attendance at the academy. He will ask more about Kuro's race another time.

The boy then, heard Anh Sang ask him, if he wanted to pet Kuro ears as well. He didn't want to be rude, but it looked a little strange with a 16 year-old boy petting a nekomata's ears for cuteness. Malik is careful not to hurt his friends feelings. He wants to let them know that he doesn't want to pet Kuro's ears in the the nicest way he can express. It was hurt him to see their emotions offended by a rude comment or gesture without regard for their feelings. He decided to give a simple shake of his head while wearing a gentle smile.

"No thank you Anh Sang, but thank you for asking. By the way, I want to show you and Kuro something. It was the reason that I have entered the academy." He said, wanting to show his friends his powers. He took a step back to make sure not to hurt his friends. He then, held up his right hand in front of himself. Within his palm, a small mass of electricity form. It shown brilliantly with it's electric blue light. Malik now decided to ask the two on their opinion on his ability.

"So, what do both of you think?" He said, wondering what he powers look like to his friends. This was Starlight Academy, so people here were free of discrimination based on their special abilities. This also meant that they were not mocked, mostly, or looked at indifferent. Every student on the campus was free to express themselves and, if not, show their abilities. Malik seemed perfectly content with showing his friends what he could do. In this case, manipulate the element of lightning. He had witnessed Anh Sang's powers, but wondered what Kuro's abilities were.

Ah, I suppose I'm done on this thread now, sorry. I'm trying to close up some threads. ~

Pham Thi Anh Sang

"Hey! You have light like magic, too!" the girl exclaimed at the sight of Malik's power. "And it's blue, too!" Now that, that was just no fair! She had been trying forever to get her light colored like that and Malik just went ahead and did that like it was no big deal! Like he wasn't even trying!

"Wow, you must be really old!" What the girl meant was that she thought Malik was really good at doing stuff with his powers. So obviously he had been at the Academy studying and doing stuff with it for a long time. At that very moment, though, she couldn't remember how to express that in English. The words just weren't coming to mind fast enough so she made due with the basics. "I still have to learn how to get colors..."

Oh! Wait, maybe Malik wasn't old at all! Maybe he was just really smart, that was all. It explained why it looked like he had been doing homework things when she had first come into the lounge. Yeah, that must be it! the Vietnamese girl thought to herself in satisfaction.

Anh Sang's head was practically spinning from the sheer awesomeness of that day. All thoughts of how lame and boring homework was had been wiped away from her mind at that point. Now, she was busy getting over the realization that Oh, hey! the magic school could actually be really fun! Kind of like what she had been expecting all along, actually. The homework was still pretty stupid, though.

Thinking of homework and academic things, however, Anh Sang had to pause, frowning a little as the weird feeling of having forgotten something washed over her. "Hey, it's Tuesday, isn't it?" she wondered out loud suddenly.

She had something on Tuesdays, didn't she? Wait, no. That wasn't it. She only had classes from eight to three and it was three thirty right then. So it wasn't classes. And the girl hadn't planned anything with Oliver either. So what was it?

"Oh!" Anh Sang pumped her fist as she remembered. The triumph that she felt was brief, however, and was quickly replaced by anxious. "Sorry, I just remembered!" she squeaked, clutching her hair in agitation. "I have to ah, ah, ah-" Why wasn't the word coming out? "-Give something to, um, the office! By, um four! Making, uh, uh, a hội!"

Gaaahhh! She sounded so stupid but she just couldn't remember how to say things. "Sorry, Malik and Kuro. Nice meeting you but have to go now! Bye!" At least that came out kind of okay. As she ran out of the lounge, though, Anh Sang just felt really annoyed at herself. First, for having forgotten that she was supposed to be making her super awesome club that day and also because she had just found some really interesting people.

Ahhhh, this is so stupid!

Upon showing both Anh Sang and Kuro his special ability to control electricity, the 10 year-old girl was the first to express what she thinks. Her opinion on his powers was slightly unexpected. She thought it was magic when in actuality it was innate for him to do so and not through the arcane arts. Also, to her, the electricity looked like a blue light in his hand rather than just a small mass of charges with sparks coursing around it in a spherical formation. Malik wonders, if Anh Sang ever saw lightning before or any electrostatic discharge in person. He would have to guess not. Now that the electrokinetic looked at the electrical mass within his right hand from a different view, he could see it resemble light, but in a different color. In this case, it was electric blue. Still, it wasn't exactly light, but Malik can't just explained what it truly was in his vocabulary. Anh Sang was a 10 year-old girl with hardly any interest in science, from what he could tell. She was still too young to understand certain words he knew and so, he must choose them carefully as to explain with is in his hand. He put his left, which held his natural disaster book, behind his head with an innocent smile.

"Um, actually, it's lightning that is in my palm. I can control it easily and create large amounts of it. Someone with this power can do a lot of things, like fire lightning bolts, move metal, that sort of stuff." He said in a way the girl would understand. He made it sound as simple as he could. Still, even how it sounded, it was still cool to have the ability to manipulate an element of nature, especially one known to be one of the most powerful. However, despite his prowess in his gift, Malik still had much to learn. Thankfully, he learns fast with his high-level of intelligence. He hopes to learn more applications of his power as well as combating evil enemies. Someday. he is going to face a malevolent presence and he needs to be prepared for what he must do. This includes in utilizing his abilities in offensive ways. The simplest application is firing lightning bolt from his palm.

The statement or rather an accusation about his age had him question with a quizzical expression of innocence across his face. The electrokinetic wasn't old, in fact, he was really young. Although, his height said otherwise. He was much taller than other boys his age. This exceptional height complements his handsome looks, but that is not what is on his mind. What the current subject really was is that Anh Sang thought he was old. If he was old then, his hair should be graying or he should have a beard. He also should be a graduate at Starlight Academy. Malik was just talented with his abilities. He dissipated the small electrical mass in his right hand before speaking.

"Actually Anh Sang, I am 16 years old. I just happened to be talented at using my powers. My father has the same abilities as me, so me an him trained for an entire year." He explained to the little girl whom was his new friend. The boy then, heard her needing to get colors. That meant to him that she probably must learn how to create more shades of the basis of coloration such as the color of his electricity for example. Malik was actually looking forward to see what new applications Anh Sang learns with her powers. He gave a smile to the nice girl.

"I really look forward to the new things you will learn. Those butterflies and rainbows were beautiful. I hope to see more." He said, meaning ever word that left his mouth. Malik was a boy who respected others and it wasn't like him to be rude to others. Of course, this doesn't have apply to evil beings, though he is nice enough to still show respect. He has a big heart and even though someone is evil, he knows that some have had a troubled past, which resulted into them becoming fiendish. An example is a child being raised wrongly causing them to have a dark outlook on the world. Some are so far-gone that they almost can't be brought from the side of evil while others have only recently stirred from the path of good.

The young electrokinetic noticed his 10 year-old friend frowning slightly as she mention the day was Tuesday, but she was questioning it.It was also so suddenly. Something must be on her mind. From his assumption, Malik suspects she is forgetting something. What is was he had not a clue to it. At this moment, only Anh Sang knew. He still wondered what it was, though. He didn't want to interrupt her in her own train-of-thought. It seemed like a matter private to her, so he kept quiet at the moment. She then, let a sound of triumph, but the expression of her visage was quickly replaced by anxiety. Whatever she had forgotten was important and she seemed worried. She told both Malik and Kuro that she had remember this subject of importance. She was so nervous she was gripping her hair. That same nervousness was causing her trouble with her speech. All the boy could understand was that she need to deliver something to the office at 4'o clock. She quickly said her goodbyes and soon left for the certain location on her mind. Malik gave a wave to her slowly disappearing figure from behind.

"Okay, I hope you make it on time to deliver the item. Farewell, I am certain we will meet again soon throughout the campus." He said, wondering what it was that she needed to do in the first place. All he got from her anxious explanation was that she had to give something to the office. It must be important for it to get Anh Sang that nervous. He does hope he will see her again. With that, he turned to Kuro to express his goodbyes as well.

"Well Kuro, I believe I should be going as well. It has been great getting to know both you and Anh Sang. If you want to hang out, you can go see me at the East Wing." He said in a tone of happiness. He then, walked on his path to his living quarters. Soon he exited the lounge. Today was a good day for Malik. He had meet two students who he quickly became friends with. He liked talking with them and getting to know one another. Anh Sang seemed really happy as well to be talk with the two boys. He looks forward to what the rest of the day will hold followed with the next.
