Evander looked at the board for a moment. There were not any moves that were immediately beneficial, so the gryphon went with a simple move; his knight from g1 to h3. For now, it would serve little purpose, but Evander felt confident he'd find a use for it in the long run.

"Times? Well, I'm available for tutoring on most days from around five o'clock in the afternoon to eight at night," he replied, raising his eyes up to meet Adrian, "And, I know you teenagers are always having personal issues, so if you need to talk to a neutral party, just stop by whenever you need to."

In his mind, Evander didn't really think much of that second part. It was, to him, a simple kindness to offer mediation and advice.

Well, college has started and I'm trying to cut down threads. This one seems to be dwindling off so I'm just going to call this an end, sorry.

Adrian Hexe Grimm

She moved her pawn from C5 to C4, not entirely sure where she was going in terms of strategy anymore. I should have castled, Adrian thought with a slight frown. She wondered she was being indecisive, wanting her king to be safe without restricting it to a close corner.

"I see." Adrian lifted her eyes from the board for a moment. "Thank you. If the occasion should arise, then, I may have to take you up on your offer." The offer of talking made her draw up short, because there was something about it that rang a little strange. Logically, she knew that it was just an offer that many authority figures made.

The strangeness was not anything that had to do with Evander, she was certain. There was just something else...

No. She shook the feeling off but there was an unease returning. The shadow of her sister was heavy in the back of her mind.

Aurélie would not approve.
