Because Emmeline Favreau, my newest character, has a very strong sense of justice and morals, I thought it would be interesting to see how she would react and interact with her birth parent(s), as she's adopted, should they be not good. They don't have to necessarily be outright evil, though that's sorta the point-- that they and Emmeline don't get along because they're unscrupulous while Emmeline will follow through with seeing justice delivered even if it makes her seem like a vigilante.

One or both of her birth parents would probably have some sort of power/be a supernatural being, since that would explain Emmeline's inhuman strength, though this is all flexible and changeable for whoever wishes to do this!

Though, I'd like to ask that, regardless of if they like teasing Emmeline for her justice thing, or if they try to convert her, that her birth parent(s) genuinely care for her on some level and try to be around her a lot/watch over her. I'm just ;;; a mush like that ;;;

Anyway! Post here or PM me if you're interested and we can see where that takes us!

Andromeda might not care about Emmeline at first, but she will. Eventually she's gonna realize how badly she screwed up and she's gonna get sober and such. I'd like to see Andy fail at being a better mom though.

Emmeline would definitely freak out when she finds out her birth mother's a time-displaced almost-alcoholic from the future and her father's a lazy, old af demon that was confined to a key for some period of time. She'll try to fight the fact that these really are her birth parents, but if her mother does actually try, she'll warm up eventually, even if Andy is still a terrible mother. The only thing I can't figure out is how they meet/if Andy and Freddy know that she's their daughter from the start or learn along the way/etc.

Andy knows for certain that Emme is her daughter--since she works at the school sometimes, she tried to keep an eye on her from a distance. It actually made her feel worse about herself in the end, but she did it anyway.

I'm not sure how Emme would come across Andy though.

Hm... maybe they left Emmeline with one out of three of a matching bracelet/necklace/thing set, and when Emmeline gets close to one of them for the first time, notices that they have one as well and starts asking questions? I really can't think of anything else either lol. I was also thinking of giving Emmeline at least on of Andy and Freddy's characteristics. Like, she saves up money for days when she just shops for the most expensive clothes and makeup she can get, or curses very heavily when she's angry or upset. I'll probably work out Andy and Freddy's affects on her powers, lifespan, etc., but I'm open to any ideas!

Also, I'm going to be away tomorrow to Tuesday, the 12th to 14th, because of freshman orientation. The timing is annoying because I'm really looking forward to this, but I'll still check my pms and this thread if you guys want to keep plotting. If you guys don't want to wait until I get home for me to start the thread, then you guys can totally do it~ Just @ me in it or send me the link and I'll think up a reply to type up the moment I get home~

Yeah, I could see Andy meeting Emme for real and kinda freaking out inside, half feeling excited to see her kid and the other half panicking because she knows that she's a terrible parent. Andy would be pretty up front about it, seeing no reason to lie, but afterwards, she'd probably be a real dickwad to try and scare Emme off. "You're better off without me, kid, trust me." and that kind of stuff.

Andy can re-live the eras she's been in pretty vividly, and so Emme might be able to do the same thing with her memory? Or if she concentrates, she can visualize other eras? Idk, you can go hog wild with time powers, they're so neat.

Emme would be upset. Or pissed. Both or either, with a lot of cursing mixed in. Abandonment/orphans/abused children does not sit well with here, even more so than her usual justice thing. So she'd definitely not want to accept Andy or Freddy into her life at first. After a little while, they'd grow on her somehow, and even Andy's attempts at scaring her off wouldn't bother her because "you've been absent for 23 fucking years, the least you could do is stick around for the rest of it!"

My original idea with Emme was that she was cursed and her soul forced to reincarnation early. She was at one point a princess ready to inherit the throne, and the princess' insistence on justice and law followed through the Emme. That said, now I'm thinking that her powers from her parents could be something like unlocking the part of a person's soul that remembers all of the past reincarnations. Something like that lol

When that happens, expect awkward crying from Andy. At her core, she seriously wants Emme to be as well off as possible, but she thinks that the best way to do that is to stay away. Also, unless Emme also got an extended lifespan, there's a chance that Andy could outlive her, which is terrifying to Andy.

Your ideas for powers sound really cool! I'd be fascinated to plot about past lives with characters other than Andy, tbh.

Emme attempts to comfort Andy but she'll remain firm. They aren't getting away that easily lol. I actually haven't thought of an extended lifespan. She probably does considering both of her parents are, but maybe they aren't sure how Andy's DNA mixed and reacted to Freddy's so they're really not sure how she'll turn out.

Thanks! I'm hoping it plays out just as cool as it sounds. Also, I can always edit Emme's chara sheet, but otherwise, I don't know how she would find out about those powers when she's been training and learning at the Academy for several years. Maybe the presence of both her parents sparks something that's been dormant? Idk lol ;;;

Yeah, most likely, Emme would outlive Andy, but the idea that maybe she wouldn't really terrifies Andy. In the end, after she's ran out of bluster, Andy will try once more to be really honest in a not so brutal way that she's a crappy parent, but after that, she'll give up and walk her kid to school three days out of five and buy her coffee and shit. If she likes coffee that is.

Maybe meeting her parents is what triggers it. One day, she decides to confront Andy, and that night she dreams vividly about 1920's New York or something? And then she sees one of her fellow students? Or someone who looks kind of like them? I dunno. Maybe that's how she first sees someone's past lives.
